Different Attacks

Xilo hoped they would only need to take one more break before they got there with their current pace. Relia seemed to still be holding up for the most part and Xelfia was doing just as fine as when they began. "If we don't meet any interruptions we'll be fine." With the sun rising in the sky Xilo constantly kept a watch on his surroundings after that first fleeting feeling. He kept trying to throw it in the back of his mind but he couldn't. It kept tugging at his mind without mercy.

"Someone sneaking up on me is rare so let's try and calm down."

He told himself that however he never retracted his energy around him as he ran. Lagging behind Relia felt Xilo's aura and the edge he was on currently. "This feeling..." At the lake it had calmed down a little bit but once she started running again it grew stronger once more and Xilo wasn't helping it. Him being on edge was putting her in a rough position. She was usually good with reading moods but right now she was getting lost in his and her own. "They're coming..." a splitting headache attacked Relia's mind as she thought that before mumbling out what she could.

"..Coming.."

Hearing Relia's mutters, Xelfia didn't ignore it.

"What's up Relia, need a break?"

"No...They're coming."

Xelfia didn't really understand it but she didn't ignore it as her feet grounded to a halt. "I'm not dumb enough to ignore her warnings." Even if she couldn't sense it right now Relia had a lot of Xelfia's trust. She was also learning to understand the emotion in Relia's usual emotionless voice and she heard the urgency in it. Stopping Xilo as well, the three of them sat in the clearing of a field while they looked around. "Who's coming though." Standing next to each other Xilo just heard Relia's endless mumbles without really knowing what to do.

"Make...the..voices stop."

Hearing endless whispers that talked over each other, Relia's mind was flooded with voices that awoke without any warning. "Go away." Unable to do anything about them she latched on to Xilo for comfort as her body continued to shake. Feeling her mind begin to tear apart Relia grasped on any sense of self she could as they attacked her with a never before seen intensity. "A vessel to be discarded." "We own you." "This is our body too." Feeling Relia suddenly grab onto him without warning Xilo looked down as her small stature continuously shook against his body.

"Make the voices stop? Relia, are you okay?"

"Stop...please.."

"Xelfia what's happening to her!?"

"I have no idea, I've never seen her like this before."

Crouching down beside Relia, Xelfia looked at her face as she tried to cover it with her hands. "She's burning up, the hell." Feeling her hand get burnt at just a slight touch she wondered how Xilo didn't feel that as she pulled her hand away. A little more prepared she used some light water as she pulled Relia's hands off her face as she smiled and looked up at her. "Stay calm." If she and Xilo started to panic in this situation they wouldn't be able to help her.

"Relia, what's the matter? Talk with us so we can try and help."

"....Voices...in my head...Tearing me apart."

"Has this happened before?"

Silently shaking her head yes as best she could, Relia answered Xelfia as Xilo fell into thought.

"How can we help then?"

"....Don't know....hurts..."

Ignoring the burning Xelfia sighed as she gently rubbed Relia's hair trying to soothe her as best she could. She had no idea how to help Relia at this moment. "Why hasn't I seen this happen before or did I just miss it?" Thinking back on her time with Relia she tried to pinpoint anytime like this. "if it's mental pain maybe this could work." Slipping through his thoughts, Xilo remembered a brief moment in the Astral Zone Castle as he crouched down to be eye to eye with Relia. Trying to appear as calm as he could he created a small bit of darkness energy in his palms.

"Relia, I have no idea if this will help or not but are you okay if I inject a little bit of my energy into you? It might help or it could make it worse I don't know."

"....Do it."

She didn't know what was about to happen but she trusted Xilo regardless. Watching from the side, Xelfia saw Xilo inject darkness straight to her head. "What's he doing?" Xilo remembered a small moment back when he was losing his mind against Zilan in the flames. His mind threatened to break apart into pieces but a soothing darkness held everything and kept everything together when he couldn't. Along with that woman's words about him being able to use his power on others he figured that his Darkness could potentially help Relia out. He didn't have time to think about the risks though so he just had to hope it would work.

"Good girl, take deep breaths and take your time. We'll take care of the rest while you recover."

"The rest?"

*Shink*

"That rest."

Looking down at the arrow that fell by his foot, Xilo let go of Relia and put her behind his body while he looked at the group of people who had shown up to say hi. "Looks like my senses were right." After getting an arrow shot at them he assumed they weren't here to help out. He counted around six of them but he couldn't tell who or where they were from. They all had masks covering their faces with no Symbol to identify them on their body.

"Looks like someone doesn't want us to help that town out."

Hearing another arrow get pulled back by the two archers in the back Xilo took out Icebreaker as Xelfia got ready for a fight herself.

"That's a weapon I haven't seen before."

"Ahhhh, right I forgot to tell you about this one too. Don't worry I have something for you when we get back."

"Alright."

Hearing them casually talk as the six of them stood there in front of them the leader felt a slight bit of annoyance

"You three won't be going anywhere anymore."
