An Ocean

With a few more days passing Xilo made sure to keep extra attention on Tearia just in case. After the other girls had figured out she was awake though she was in for a rough time. He definitely may have felt a little too much enjoyment in watching her suffer. Once that excitement was over they all spent the next while traveling through a forest that ended up having a beautiful lake in the middle of it. Tearia wanted to stop and enjoy it so they took a short break there to rest up and stretch their legs.

"The capital is at the end of this forest."

Taking in the sight Xilo stretched his body completely out as he looked around. With bright alice blue water with a few shadows underneath. From the looks of it the lake was pretty well kept and alive. "I think this is the biggest body of water I've seen." It stretched out until the ends of his vision in the shape of a raindrop. "Kinda." Bodies of water this size or bigger we're pretty uncommon at least for him even as one of the countries closest to the endless ocean. Watching Relia slowly tip toe into the water Xilo suppressed a grin while Tearia laid down on the grass taking in the view.

"So what do you think Telan has in store for you Xilo, it seemed pretty abrupt for an invitation. I feel like that's something he should have told us from the very beginning. He doesn't exactly feel like a person to forget these kinds of things."

Hearing Xelfia walk up behind him Xilo didn't turn around as she stepped beside him.

"Why bring this up now, you seemed mostly fine about it before, besides I'm sure something came up and had to be added."

Shaking her head, Xelfia disagreed.

"I am fine with it, just thought I'd bring up that oddity. No use keeping quiet now that things have settled down a bit and speaking of bringing things up. You do know this is the Royal capital right? If I remember right, Zilan told us that Felli is here. I really hope for Tearia's sake and even your's that you aren't planning anything dumb."

Hearing Felli's name brought up again, Xilo didn't respond as he looked at the lake in front of him. He knew that Felli was here and he thought about a lot of things when it came to her. Every single idea he came up with ended in failure. All of them were still way too weak to face that wall. His goal in going to Telan was to change that but it was still too early. So in the end as much as it pained him he would have to give up on doing anything this time and just avoid the center area while they were there. "It sucks but that's how it is." He had already come to terms with that, he was a bit worried Tearia hadn't though, she was the one who was closest to Felli in the end after all.

"I know, I plan to make sure we avoid her. I don't know exactly what Telan wants to talk to us about however as soon as it's done we are leaving. Staying there is just trouble for us. There's more than just Felli there too, we made a few enemies back in that Astral Zone and some of them are here. I'd rather not have any run-ins with them as well. We can always come back, there is a tomorrow as of right now."

He was a little depressed to say that, only for a little bit though.

"Good, I don't really know much about her besides what you've told me but you should know more than anyone we're not ready for that. I figured I'd give it one last check before we actually get there."

"Where's the faith in me?"

Xelfia couldn't hide her laughter anymore.

"Oh I have plenty of faith in you my love, don't you worry. It's just you tend to have a little too much faith in yourself. I have to make sure you don't get too confident don't I?"

leaning her head on his shoulder she stopped laughing as the two of them quietly enjoyed the peace and quiet from this area.

"Fine, fine."

Waving it off Xilo let it go as he thought about some more things just in case. After a bit of time passed Xilo heard some Astral Beasts approaching them to finally disturb their peace and quiet. Telling Relia and Kirel to come back to the cart he looked into the forest to see a small pack staring at them. "Guess it's time to go." Watching them run straight towards him as they barked viciously Xilo got in the cart with the girls as they sped off leaving them behind. Talking a bit with Tearia on the way he made sure they were okay with moving on with the plan. Once he was given the okay from her he increased their pace even more as the Capital came into their sight.

"What do you have in store for us?"

The road they were on started to intersect with different roads and more people came into his view. "More than I thought." He thought for sure the roads would be empty with everything going on but it seems his guess was wrong. People travelling or just merchants looking to sell their goods we're heading in and out of the capital walls. "Beautiful." Even just the wall blocking people out was incredibly well made and maintained. With golden borders at that lined the top it shined brightly as an ore he never saw that shined navy blue covered the walls with a beautiful mermaid was carved out across the entire wall and finally dull brown stone acted as the floor of it all.

"A young mermaid swimming in an endless ocean with no where to go..."
