Its a Trap!

Christian exited from his capsule and quickly browsed his computer.

'Hmmm...let's see...' he opened the main website for World of Legends and the first thing he saw was the daily news that usually circulates throughout the game.

[] Will there be a war against guild clans? []

[] Support items are continuing on pricing? What is the reason? []

[] A new boss is rumored to be found in Black Forest near Seville Kingdom's outskirts. Is it a hoax or the truth?[]

The news are miscellaneously showed up. One of the news talked about Kris which Kris didn't even mind it. He continued on scrolling on the tab trying to find out new areas good for monster raids who are above 300 levels.

30 minutes passed, Kris still hadn't found even a single news containing what he wanted and finally realized that this type of information can rarely be seen on news and are actually found in auction sites sold for a high price.

"Ah damn, why didn't I think of that first?" Kris said to himself, weeping. He wiped the tears in his eyes and continued on searching.

He checked the WOL market and saw varieties of items showing their effects and price.

Kris scrolled past the basic fundamental items and searched for the information market.

'Yes finally I found one! Its in Agatha's Cave!' Kris gasped in joy. He looked at the option and saw that it doesn't seem to have a good chance that the outcome of the information would be high but Kris's doubt didn't let him down. He still had his hopes up in having a good outcome if he was to buy this information. Sadly that price was too high for a depressed boi~ like him. Either Kris didn't have any money nor did he had guts to asked for cash from his parents. So this was a bit of a run down for him.

'If I don't buy it hurriedly, other people might take it. But I don't even have a single peso on my pocket. What shall I do? Should I rob a shop? No that's to risky. Or maybe I could try pick pocketing! Ah! I'm so dumb! Why would I do that?' Kris was filled with plans by doing dirty money and finally stopped in thinking such disgraceful acts.

'Or I could sell some items?' Kris's idea was the wisest decision he could make. Easy money and also legal.

The reason why players sell items in the market? It's of course to earn cash and become rich!

Millions of players playing World of Legends had already become not only famous, they had also became rich tycoons. Even those who are just average type of players had became rich after encountering luck that would turn their life inside and out into a fantasy. Just because of selling items, the better the effect, the greater the price.

'Well then, let's do this!' Kris immediately registered his account to the market sales and auction sites. His focus was selling those non used items he had in his inventory to the auction since the price wouldn't settle in the auction but would continue in rising depending on one's rate of the items being sold.

Shortly after, Kris updated his account and began to introduce some of his items in the auction site. Of course he kept his account anonymously not only to avoid hackers, but to also avoid hassle and boot licking customers. He just add his name as Chris, just a basic short name of his to be more formal.

'I should sell all of my a epic rated items starting fro 5k. Hmmm...hmmmm... that's good.'

Without a single thought, Kris placed all of his items immediately on the auction each stating from five thousand pesos. There are about 27 bronze epic and 19 silver epic rated items he placed. He thought of himself that this would be enough for him to be able to get all of the things he needed so he could be able to buy the information.

"Sigh, let's go back." Kris jot up from his seat and entered his capsule. He didn't want to waste the time by just staying put and waiting until the items get sold. He could just use this time to raise some experience so he wouldn't waste a single bit of second.

Ding!

"Ugh! I love this world! The fresh air, the calm breeze and the sound of the trees swaying along with the gentle wind. This is great! Wait what am I talking about? Let's go kill some monsters!" Kris returned from his senses and dashed down the forest. With his good imperceptibility, he was beginning to track down enemies from every direction.

He'd ambush monsters from their behind whether it was a wandering troll, a horned black wolf, a pack of goblin warrior etc. There was no exceptions, everything that comes from his blade, he'd slash them to bits and pieces then went down to another monster redoing this cycle on and on.

But the levelling speed seems to be stopping him from rising up. He checked his player system and saw that the experience he got from slaying monsters below his level was decrease by halved added with the experience addition which is multiplied by 1.2 every level he would in conclusion, Kris would have to struggle three times more than what an average high-levelled user would be.

"Goddammit! I need to get the info fast!" Kris continued on in pursuit for monsters but then he halted his movement after sensing something odd.

'Why are players following me?' Kris didn't have to check his whole vicinity just to found out that something had been tracking him down. There movements alone are already easy to tell on what they're intent was.

Because of the night effect of the forest, the concealment of the players who were hiding on the bushes of the trees made them camouflage perfectly on the surroundings.

But Kris was entirely different, because of his monster form his senses were more strong against players. Not just any type of monster, a monster that could act and move like an actual player. was the instinct of a monster, they had better scent to humans than to their own kind since this was their purpose of living. "Kill Players and Respawn." Such an old code for a game.

Kris gazed up top at the immobile players hiding still in the branches. They didn't even move one bit and just stared at him like a ward, they're eyes glowed in the dark looking at Kris like a prey ready to be feast upon of.

'I don't know if they're trying to mock me or they're just overly confident that they could ambush and kill me from behind.' Kris then draw his two swords from his waist so when the players saw this, they began to move at a fast but silent speed.

'I see… your trying to gank me one by one from behind.' Kris thought to this and then activated Shadow Blade.

Wooouunnngg....

The swords began to emit a jet black aura, slowly covering all of the parts of the blade. When the players saw this, they're movement became more agile. They dashed through one branch to another like frogs leaping on trees.

'What are they doing?' Kris confusingly said. He longed observed their patterns but it looks very unpredictable and Kris still don't know what was their goal. All he knew is that they want Kris dead for sure but spinning around in circles doesn't seem to predict what he thought it would be.

'Stop this and let's just kill you one by one!' Kris irritation was now at the limit and want this done so he quickly activated Shadow Teleport and tried to pursuit one of the runners but then.

'Ugh! My skill is not working?' Kris unexpectedly said. He still could move his body and do attacks but other than that, he couldn't activate any skill in hand.

'How in the world?' Kris who was filled in astonishment said. It was quite a shock for him knowing that he haven't heard of a skill that could nullify skills and only one ringed on his head.

'C-could it be?
