Lab Rat

Clans are made in the game for players who cannot make a decision for themselves. Unlike guilds, Clans have roles to be done. They are classified by the mix of classes they have. A clan cannot make a role if another clan has its possession.

Basic roles of clans are Politics, labor, alchemy, expedition, wars, adventures, hunting and etc.

The numbers of members of a normal clan can reach millions unlike Guilds that only goes up to hundreds of thousands.

The clan, Pitch Coffins is one of the 7 high clans of the game. Their difference between the other clans is that they mainly focus on monster hunting and expeditions. Every time a new type of monster is encountered, the first ones to document them are the Pitch Coffins clan.

They are one of the most famous clans in the game since what they'd encounter a new monster, the information they get would be spread through the market, of course sold by a high price. Their numbers exceed almost 10 million players ranging from newbies to apex professionals.

Their leader, Roland, the Legend of Short Swords leads his members to triumph. Unlike Lennon, Roland is very chatty and likes to make corny puns but if you get to his bad side, he'd find you to the ends of the earth just to appease the anger boiling inside him. That's why even though sometimes his jokes sounds offensive, you have to adjust yourself and give off a slight laugh if you don't want to buried 10 feet off the ground.

But luckily, he'd only go out if he wanted to kill a few monsters or an important expedition was to be held. He'd mainly stay in his office, doing paper works and such of what a wise leader would do so.

Most of the members who'd join expeditions is Roland's partner and also fiancé, Sylvia. The Legend of Mist. She is an ebony woman with a very curvature body. Her hairstyle knitted all of her hair into rope-like thick thread on which made her more african-ish. Almost every expedition, Sylvia would lead it along with her trusty Shwistika, a long gun that shoots a mist towards the target leaving behind thick fog to the players body that would disappear for a moment but if she was on your range, she could retract back the mist causing additional true damage and also giving her a portion of health depending on how much damage was dealt. And if an ally is at range of her shot, the ally will receive a healing depending on the percent of damage.

Her class is actually a support type gun men. Making her one of the deadliest support players in the game.

~If you are wondering what is these Legend titles, these are achievements earned by players. If a player earns a legend title, the other players cannot get this title since it had already belong to that player. A Legend Title holds a special effect to the player who has it, depending on what type of legend title the player has. Example, Lennon has the legend title of Legend of Spear, meaning he can use a spear and show its full potential to the extent. He also gets special skills that only he has like that homing spear on which Kris almost died from. A player can hold a limit of three Legend Titles.

There had only a thousand legend titled players which is counted via rankings but since the game is wide, legend titled players might still be unknown to anyone just hiding there from afar so their may be more than a thousand of them there cultivating their strengths to reach the extent before showing up to the world.

'I should've known it beforehand that Pitch Coffins would try and find me. Damnit! This is going to be hard for me to escape.' Kris gritted his teeth and stop on his actions.

The reason why his spells where all deactivated even if there were no window alert popping is because of the ritual that had been made by the Pitch Coffin's special force.

The ritual has been famous throughout the game and only the Pitch Coffins's special forces knew of this ritual's procedure. But many already knew of how to cancel it since this has been long known for years.

'I just need to kill all of the those guys who's encircling me to stop this ritual from going on but for now, let's go along with the flow.' Kris then hurriedly returned his sword from his waist and stood there like a statue.

'Let's see how this will go on.' Kris waited for the extinguishers to appear and check Kris the "Special Skeleton boss" before he could start on his killing rampage.

Wwwoooooossshh!!

Just in a moment, infront of what Kris gaze unto. A cloud of thick fog spread out unto the forest. Shadowy figures could be seen appearing one by one on the mist of fog until the fog disappeared completely what could be seen are 9 players, standing align with themselves like what formation usually be made by a group of superheroes in movies.

The one in the middle stood out from the group. Her ebony skin and attired with her white accompanied with gold lining silk cloth, made her shimmer in the dark. She had rosy lips and her eyes is a full misty gray color making her wonder if she was blind but this was the side effect of her legend title.

"Smoke bind!" She shouted this phrases and from the ground, smokes spurted out forming ropes that entangled Kris's bones constricting his movements.

Ding!

You have been blinded for 10 seconds.

Any type of movement has been constricted and magical and physical defense has been reduced to 40%

'So early? We haven't even greeted each other.'

Ding!

With Karkavos's blessing, you have resisted!

"...!?" Sylvia was shocked seeing that her binding had been fully resisted causing her to make a few steps back. Her calm demeanor had turned distorted and sweat could be seen flowing out from her facial pores.

"H-how?" A blonde beauty said in disbelief, she was wearing a green clothe that covered her petite breast. A skinny torso that showed the curves from her bottoms and she held a beautifully carved magical wooden bow that had leaves marked on the sides.

"I've known boss monsters for a long time, I saw them resist your bind for a few seconds but not this! A monster that could fully resist your Smoke Bind instantly is nonchalant!" A mage holding a book and a wand on his hands press his glasses like some edgy smart anime character said in amazement whose name is Edmund.

"Well let's see if it can bind this. Dreadful Naught!" The big brawn man who seems to be their MT made deafening cry causing the area to erupt waves of windy collision that blasted towards Kris.

Ding!

You are in a state of fear!

Movements has been inverted!

Defense has been reduce by 60%

Ding!

You have Resisted!

"Khuak! What the fuck? It resisted my debuff?" From his name icon floating above his head, his name is Draven. He was numb in shock and couldn't process the scenario that just happened, continually he resort his head and focused on the unmoving skeleton waiting for it to make a move.

"That was just sad. It might be because your skills are just as bland as your bald head." A slim man made an offensive retribute to Driven after seeing the sight that just behold. His name is Tempest, from his appearance already define his name itself. A very flashy items with the long sword he held in his hand. The sword crackles electric current that flowed out from the blades and which pretty sure he had suffice it with the lightning emblem. With that, it added more flavor to his name and prided attitude.

"Shut up! You'll all bark but no bite you prideful piece of shit!" Driven angrily spoke which then backed away from Kris.

"I'll show you how its done! Thunder roar!" With a wave of his sword, lightning drizzled out from the blades that moved along the air pushing down to Kris's body, stunning and paralyzing him.

Klangklangklang!

Ding!

You have been paralyzed! Movement has been inverted

You have been slowed by 80%

You have been stunned! The next attack made by the caster will deal 100% more of the damage receive.

You have resisted!

"..!" Tempest's eye grew wide flowing out with disbelief. He couldn't retaliate on what had happened but he was more annoyed to what he just arrogantly spoke to Draven.

"Pfft! See, you judge things instantly now your in a pit of solemn! Be sure to flash things up! Hahahaha!" Draven laughed in amusement, he couldn't take the embarrassment that Tempest is in on even the over members couldn't help but make a chuckle so this made Tempest fill himself in rage.

"Raaagh! I'll kill this skeleton myself!" Without any second opinions, Tempest dashed through Kris, getting ready to slash his head with his sword.

"Wait!" Sylvia called out Tempest to stop but that was all in vain. Tempest didn't listen and just let his anger take over him.

"Thunder clapping, lightning strike!" With those words, Tempest's long sword crackled in lightning. The electricity grew bigger and bigger and his movements became faster and faster. Every step he would rake would leave lightning sparks that burnt the ground.

Drizzle Dazzle!

"Shi ne!! (Die in Japanese.)"

Shiing!

Tempest felt a blade slid down his throat. He couldn't fell where it came from because of the instant speed. He didn't even see the skeleton try to move but all he knew, his vision moved from the left, falling down the ground.

His head was actually cut off from his body and all he saw was his body standing in front of the skeleton doing the last attack posture he had done while his neck sprayed blood throughout his body.

'Did, I just die?"

Ding!

[-28,600]

[-12,000 abyssal damage]

You have died!

His body turned into fading pixels causing all of his other teammates to panic.

"Tempest died just like that?"

"I couldn't even see what just happened?"

"Look! The skeleton didn't even budge an inch but how was Tempest's head flew off?"

"No, I saw it. The skeleton rapidly moved its right hand drawing out its sword accurately slashing it right into

His neck, but still my vision couldn't catch up with it and all I saw was a bit of blur but I still manage to check it. Guys, for now lets retreat, just from what had happened, this skeleton just instantly killed one of our elite members without even using a skill. We may have underestimated its prowess, but will be back. Don't worry this one might be territorial so it won't try and attack if threatened first. Let's go, and will bring stronger reinforcements." Sylvia explained it with caution and made a wise decision. She pinpointed out the faults of the scene in detail but some of it were a bit wrong but still, Kris approved of her leadership so he just had to act on what Sylvia said about him.

Being a monster might not be that bad at all since Kris is able to learn more about how players interact with one another on which he haven't known for a long time

'Well, if they do return with a far stronger tricks. Don't worry, I also have tricks up my sleeve.'
