Jake's POV
Lily: then, what's her name, did she said it ?
Jake: I don't know, maybe she did but I can't remember.
Lily: booo.. what kind of story teller are you, you don't even know your own story.
Jake: hey this is my past, okay ? It's years ago not yesterday.
Lily: enough with the talk continue, quickly!!
Jake: you're the one who talk.
Lily: what did you say ?
Jake: SO!! what happened next is..

Jake: A year past after I lost my finger but now.. it feels like I never lost my finger but I can't move it as I want though.. nevermind that, I wonder what's her age now.
wait, where am I ? oh right this is my spot.. I got this big log of tree, luckily this log became my sofa, it's not as soft as the real sofa but I feel comfortable here and these grass around me, it's itchy but it's soft, I lie down here sometimes and just look at the stars, wondering.. do we become a star after we die ? then I would go home. Sometimes I would just start a fire so it won't be that cold while I draw.
This spot felt like my home for a while, I may be alone but I felt comfortable here than at our house. I'm not here to cry right now, it's like I'm just visiting. Oh! I need to go to that girl's store right now, she must be waiting for me.
She's not here yet and their store is close, maybe it's because it's her birthday.. WAIT I DON'T HAVE A GIFT FOR HER. I wonder what a girl would like, my sister like a barbie doll.. and I think that would be good too but.. I don't have that much money on me, I only got 20 pesos on me. Maybe I would just go for the snacks then.. cream-o I guess ? It's 10 pesos a pack and it has 3 pieces of cookies per pack, I got 2 packs so maybe this would be good.
Last time we met, it was around around 3 o'clock, I was here quarter to 4 and it's been 3 hours since I was here. I wonder if she forgot about me.. she must have a lot of friends celebrating her birthday. That must be nice.
It's 10 o'clock at night now, she's still not here and I'm starving, I don't want to eat this cream-o though since it's my gift for her. What's taking her forever ?
12:31, I already ate my gift for her, I tried to stop myself but I really am hungry, I didn't ate dinner yet and there's still no sign of her. Maybe I would just rest here then wait for her, I know she will come.
Old man: hey kid, what are you doing here this early, sleeping with your uniform, aren't you supposed to be at school ? What waste of money of your parents.
Jake: it's 6:50 in the morning ? I'm so dead if they found out, I am late for school today. (usually class starts by 7 in the morning so I'm supposed to be there before 7)
I sneak my way through our house and went to my room to change. But my sister, daisy caught me.
Daisy: little brother, where have you been ? dad is searching for you everywhere last night.
Jake: what do you mean ? (when did he care about me ? he doesn't care where I am as long as I went to school) wait, aren't you supposed to be at school ?
Daisy: class starts at 8 today, don't you know ? It's posted at the bulletin board yesterday that there will be meeting for the teachers today.
Jake: oh then today's my luck day, I guess.
Dad: that little punk didn't went home again.
Daisy: dad, Jake is here now.
Dad: You!! *grabs Jake's shirt* you're mom called yesterday night, she wanted to talk to you but you weren't here, we had a quarrel again because of you and she wanted me to find you right away.
Jake: (now I know why you wanted to find me, it's not because you care, it's because of mom.)
Dad: I almost called for barangay tanod just to find you. Starting today, after you went to school, you go back here, if you don't, you won't eat anything, YOU UNDERSTAND ME!!?
Jake: understood..
I went to school after that, in that place, you can't disobey them, it feels like all you can do is to obey. At first you'll be scared because you can't do anything but as time flies you'll find yourself following everything they demand, but it's because you can't do anything anyway.

Lily: Did you go back to her store again ?
Jake: yes, I disobey my father, over and over for the whole 2 years and I had to eat a single bread for the whole day but that store never open once since then, no matter how long I wait, it's just won't open.
Lily: why ?
Jake: IT'S BECAUSE AFTER IN LONG LONG TIME I.. I HAD A REASON TO STEP OUT IN THE DARK, TO STEP OUT OF MY CAVE, TO STEP OUT OF MY OWN PRISON, SHE.. SHE.. SHE BECAME MY LIGHT.. SHE GAVE ME A REASON NOT TO BE AFRAID.. BUT SHE LEFT ME WITHOUT A TRACE.. I went back from zero, I thought she'll be the first one who is going to be my friend, but she left me hanging..
Lily: maybe it's because..
Jake: WHAT!!? HUH!?? Where did I go wrong ? What have I done ?
Lily: *hugs Jake* I don't know where, why or what did you do. but please stop you are putting a hole in my wall.. and your hands are bleeding.
Jake: I... I didn't know that... My sight just went black. I'm sorry, I'll just pay you back or I can fix it.
Lily: It's alright as long as you calmed down. Come have a sit at my special sofa. So what is you hobby ?
Jake: I just play games and stream, that's all.
Lily: you stream games huh ? that's cool.
Jake: wait, why are you holding a camera ? gee!! what is this a casting couch ?
Lily: HAHAHA!! I guess you are back to normal. say, what if we play a game ?
Jake: I would love to, after you free me from this cuffs.
Lily: (oh right, because of the story I forgot.) After I sleep then, goodnight again.
Jake: Hey it's ten in the morning, the sun is light up bright!!
