Chapter 60; Serpent Twins

*Math: the only place where you have to figure out the ratio of yellow candy to blue candy when all you're thinking about is eating them. *

'Thank you.' I whispered softly smiling. Suddenly blood once again scattered around us. An open mouth nearly sucked me in as it passed by eating the fish as it did so. Like scared mice they were gone. The beast! How dare it! I glared at it as it turned towards me its speed rocketing forward. A glimpse of blue caught my attention as the creature suddenly froze.

"Lilium! We'll protect you!" The serpent called,my eyes widened as a white serpent swam up behind the creature, grey eyes piercing through the blue of the sea as it glared at the creature.

"You will not hurt our friend." They state in unison. Is this-? How? This means....I shook my head I'm overthinking things. This is just a coincidence! With a silent huff the creature turned to mist and dispersed. I cocked an eyebrow and frowned.

'Do I know you two?' I ask them as I back away from the serpents. The blue one looked at me its golden eyes brighter than the sun as it cheerfully nodded. The grey eyes of the white serpent rolled. A bubble of air once again wrapped around me as the serpents suddenly shrank and turned in to cute little boys who resembled the other except I knew them. My eyes widened and teared up in shock and pure happiness.

"Jamey! Orion!" I say shocked, they grinned in unison.

"So you remember us still!" Says Orion his grey eyes brightening considerably. I opened my arms wide and like we were long lost relatives they jumped right in to my arms.

"Of course I remember you two! I would never have guessed that my nephew's would come to this world! Nor that they came in exactly the same time as I had." I say ruffling their now brown hair. They grew once more and turned in to Isaac and Edcart, Orion being Isaac and Edcart being Jamey.

" Well the abyssal Ether gave the both of us a choice to where we wanted to go so we said we wanted to go where you were." Edcart said just as happy as I was.

"Heh! You two died at midnight too?!" I shout scaring a stray fish to the point that a ghostly image left its lips. They raised their arms and hands.

"Yeah...uh, we kind of got robbed and them murdered afterwards." Edcart says uncertainly. My eyes twitched.

"How?!"

"You know the money you left? And the shop and the goods in it? Well, uh, let's just say everything went up to a million. When we turned 18 we got a good job and raised the money even more. A little to much we realised a little to late. An assassin raised our bodies and homes and then killed us." Isaac explained. I turned my head glaring angrily at the water, why does son of a b@tches! When I get my hands on whoever done my cutey nephew's in will be torn to shreds! Wait,it happened in another world I can't do jack! Sighing I shrugged.

"Ugh,at least you're here now. I'm glad you both are safe and managed to get so far in this world. Now bring us back up,please. We have a meeting to attend and also I have to figure out a plan of destruction for the beasty." I say smirking. The twins nodded and the bubble zipped upwards, shaking me as it did so. The space around us became a blur of motion and chaos. The bubble popped once it broke the surface,my face completely green by now. It's not the speed it's just the fact that I could see nothing when we had gone upwards.

"Sorry." They apologized.

"For what?"

"Er, nevermind." Isaac says and dragged me out of the water.

"What is this place in any ways?" I ask.

"The ocean of truth." Edcart answers shrugging.

"Eh? Is that why.....? Oh whatever just get us home!" I grumbled shaking my head.
