KAI

It has been three months since Kai lost his sanity and jumped off in the river. He was too drunk to remember anything that happened, on that night.

He woke up in the hospital bed the next day and was informed that his girlfriend who jumped with him was fine but still currently in coma.

Kai was confused on how on earth he suddenly got a girlfriend?

He had one, but he was ditch on that day he decided to end his life.

"What a stupid!"

Kai curse himself, thinking about it make him had an occasional shivering. It was too scary to remember, luckily someone fished them out with who ever that girl was, he doesn't know.

He didn't have a chance to see her when his boss called him for an urgent assignment.

The truth is that he hated his job, he hated everything about it. He hated the sight of bloods the scene where people lay dead with their lifeless body. It will hunt him down as soon as he closed his eyes in the night.

He wondered how he survived those days and become one of the most successful and known homicide detective in the country.

"No guts no glory!!"

He remembered that night three months ago when his boss called him for an emergency case, it was the night that haunted him up to this day.

A woman in her twenties was stub multiple times in her rented apartment. They all thought she was already dead as her body was covered with bloods.

While investigating the body he suddenly felt the woman holds his hand like she was asking for help, Kai scream and run out of the CS like a madman that startled everyone, only to realized that the woman was actually alive.

He sighed bitterly while looking outside. He hated that certain memory.

Kai casually sip his coffee, the sales lady in the coffee shop is occasionally taking a glance towards him. He frowned sourly, he just got the best of woman when his girlfriend dump him.

He looked outside and caught the sight of a girl sitting in the flower box in front of the shop, she was wearing a white vibrant dress.

She seems to be shining in any way as if she was covered with halo. He frowned, he almost choked when the girl looked in his side and wave at her.

"What the heck?"

He glanced in the other side where couples are talking and laughing, it only adds up on his bitterness.

"Can you buy this one for me?"

Kai was startled when he saw the woman in front of him, he throws a glance in the place where she was before.

"How did you come here?"

"You were watching them!"

She pointed the couples through her lips.

"Like you're watching a romance movie"

She teased him that makes his brow wrinkled.

"Don't you have money-

"Wait!"

She signalled him to stop when she remembered something.

"You actually see me, right now?"

He was stunned. "What kind of crazy woman is this?" he thought to himself.

"Do you really see me? Goodness!"

She exclaimed and dramatically snap her fingers.

"I don't know you but please do take my advice and see some psychiatrist!"

Kai said while waving his hands to dismissed her like he always does with his subordinates.

He did not even notice the weird looks in the sales lady's face.

"Buy me that coffee-

"Don't you have money-

Before he could even finish his sentence the woman grab his coffee and took a sip on it like it was hers.

"You shameless!"

He yelled that made everyone jerked and throw a disdain glanced towards him.

Kai heard the woman murmured something under her breath that made him annoyed even more.

"Something is wrong, sir?"

The sales lady finally approached him with uncertainties in her face.

"She-"

He pointed the woman opposite to him that made the sales lady frown. She looked into the direction which he pointed out but there was no one.

"You didn't see her?"

"Who?!"

The shocked on the sales lady's face makes him think something was off.

He looks around and landed his eyes on the mirror, there was no one in there except him but clearly there's a woman sitting opposite to him sipping his coffee.

"What the hell is going on?" he asked himself while holding his forehead.

"I never see anyone in this table except you!"

"I must be crazy!" he almost muttered the last word but refrain himself. "I'm sorry-"

Kai was supposed to say something when he saw the woman went out.

"Oh!" he pointed in the air.

He hurriedly run after her without realizing the glass wall as he saw the woman pass through it.

He fell on the ground when his forehead hits the wall and felt like a million stars was circling in his head before he passed out.

The sales lady shook her head and dialed an emergency number.

"What a lunatic?" she said while shaking her head. "It's really pitied, handsome men are not so perfect at all some of them had some loose screw up in their heads!"
