Cassandra [1]

3 months ago before Lucy's death!

FRIDAY.

Thirty minutes before six in the evening when Ms. Cassandra Myer walks out in the clinic right after her appointment with Dr. Lucy Mendoza her psychoanalyst.

Ms. Myer was having some sort of psychological depression that makes her had a difficulty of associating with others.

"Congratulation Cassy, You're finally free!"

She smiled when she remembered Lucy's sweet voice, tomorrow will be her last appointment with her but it's just some sort of formalities.

Now she could finally announce to her family that she's fine and that's thanks to Lucy's patience towards her.

It was raining outside on that day and Lucy let her borrowed a blue rain coat.

Lucy told her that it was her favorite coat as it was given to her by a certain Devy, her best friend.

Cassy felt envious to Lucy for having someone she can call a best friend whom Lucy could talk to, while Cassy felt like the world abandoned her.

"Go out in the world Cassy, don't be scared to step out. Make some friends, free yourself!"

"I will!" she beamed.

She did not even bother to wait for the rain to stops as she was so excited to tell her family about the good news.

Cassy did not call her driver as she wants to surprised her family, She also wants to buy something to celebrate her freedom with them.

She was walking fast in the pedestrian lane racing against the rushing crowd.

Cassy stops and inhale, it was not the fresh air but the scent of freedom that she wanted to breath, and she was on her way home to tell everyone in here family.

The traffic lights turns to red, and she stopped with the impatient crowd. The rain suddenly poured hard as the signal was about to change.

In that instant before she could even step someone clapped her on the back, a sudden, stinging blow that rocked her whole body. She was about to turn her head to see who had hit her but her knees begun to buckle.

In slow motion, she could feel her body hit the sidewalk. There was a dull pain in her back and it begun to spread, she finds herself hard to breath.

She open her mouth to ask someone for help but a warm red river begun to gush out and flow in the rain.

She stood up and still managed to walk like nothing happened, the crowd was too busy to mind their own business to noticed her.

Cassy moved across the sidewalk and ran down into the gutter. The pain was worse now, but she did not mind it so much because of the good news that she remembered.

"I had to tell them, I'm free now!"

But this time her body becomes numb, Cassy knew she was already in her limit. She was so tired and could no longer moved, she slowly fell on her knees and closed her eyes to rest them from the binding whiteness of the sky.

She heard a scream, but she could no longer felt anything.

It's pity, the good news that she was about to tell flows out in the rain and gone with the wind.

On the that very night she was all over the news.

"Cassandra Myer the daughter of business Magnet William Myer is found dead in the street and believed to be murdered!"

"The police and authorities are currently investigating the incident and the initial reports says that there are big possibilities that the suspect is close to her as the culprit recognized the victim amongst the crowds!"

SATURDAY.

"Counseling and mental health clinic"

From the distance of her office Lucy could hear the sound of the reception door opening and closing followed by a heavy footstep of men.

Judging by their movement she was sure that they weren't there as a patient. She could tell what they were. Soon enough Caroline knock on her door and inform her about the two men who want to see her.

"Let them come!"

She said while tapping her computer.

"Where is Cassandra Myer?"

She looks up and asked the receptionist.

"If she's outside let her wait for a minute until I finished with those gentlemen. She was late with her appointment, anyway!"

"That's. .that"

The expression on Caroline's face makes her frown.

"Something happened?"

"That's the reason why we're here, Ms. Mendoza!"

One of the men spoke behind Caroline's back, they come unnoticed that makes her frown and felt quite a displeasure towards them.

One was in his late twenties, with a deep expressive set of cat shape eyes, thick brows that frowned all the time, those annoying lips one could not tell whether he's smiling or giving her a smirked, he had a strong jaw. She hated the sight of his messy hair that carelessly flying.

He's very masculine the color of his skin was very sexy it was a color of a man she prefers of.

"Darn what are you doing?"

She suddenly heard his boyfriend's positive voice.

She blinks couple of time and composed herself.

The other one is a standard looking man in his thirties, married as he had a ring on his finger.

"Well?"

Lucy jerked when she heard the man's voice, it sounds sardonic and it feels like a nuisance to her.

We are here in the office, so I rather prefer you to call me by my profession, Mr.?"

She never hides her displeasure and made her voice sounds formal to hide her embarrassment, the smile on the other Detective's face indicates that she's specifically had an interest with the Detective Santillan.
