Book 1 Chapter 7: The Cosmos Eternal

Book 1 Chapter 7: The Cosmos Eternal

"Tell me then, what would you call yourself?" Sci asked inquisitively, somehow, now knowing that he wasn't able to die no matter how many times he tried…reality seemed that much more real.

His gaze focused in, determined, a blazing furnace of wisdom and knowledge perceived the reality that was evident to him. As a great philosopher of his world had said long ago, "The mystery of life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced."

The being smiled yet didn't smile, Sci looked at it with that same mysterious gaze cast upon him.

"You…are a mortal, who became immortal…yet…with no gods, no mortals left in this universe…you are both the god and the man. You…are…The Man Immortal…I…from my space of being, am what energy and nothingness gave life…as the only being, the only energy in that space of void…I am the cosmos eternal."

"That's…" Sci felt this deep sense of pain hearing those words.

"It is because of this that unlike you who sought others…I sought those like me. There is one more being like us…yet the third neither I nor yourself can touch as they are in the fabric of the ethereal reality we know as…dreams, the space between…"

"Dreams…" Sci was taken aback, dreams were a manifestation of many things from memories, imagination, unseen subconscious pulls and pushes. Science could explain it just as deeply as religion of the past. A being made of 'Dreams?' was a concept that Sci had never thought to conceive of before.

"This space we are in is a world I travelled to between my void and your own…a world so massive, so diverse in power…yet so likely to change, to fall and decay…to grow and bloom. A world of many…"

"This place…did it have people that 'cultivated' and had systematic tendencies towards magic and martial arts? A strange form of nature related to 9 energies and elements, spirits and monsters...?" Sci had a premonition.

The Cosmos Eternal nodded, "Yes…it was something I could barely approach, as if strange laws inhabited that universe against my presence."

"You don't say…" Sci began to explain how he had gone to the universe 443, and just recently found that of another plane to its alikeness, that he was currently working towards travelling to.

"Strange…this is an image of the last time I was there, yet I can feel it changing" The cosmos eternal waved their energy like arm, and the scene around them changed into lush forests and vast mountains that reached far up into the sky.

"Explain this all to me, let us speak of what we know…we have all the time in the world don't we?" Sci said as he motioned for the being to dissipate the space around them.

"Sir…sir….sir…" Miranda's voice rang out in Sci's mind as his eyes opened.

He turned to gaze at her, "It is okay…this being is not without cause. Prepare the base for my arrival, I have made a friend."

*Fwhoosh* *blink*

The second that Sci's foot touched the ground causing him to vanish, the being 'looked' towards Miranda and then blinked away before her very eyes.

'Who…is this being'

Her body slowly flickered away as square shaped holograms faded into the air.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This far below us is where I first became this…Man Immortal…what a strange name…yet very befitting…" Sci looked out of a window to a vast space of land below. Fresh grass, purple trees with red leaves, countless flowers of different colors, was offset by the battle to the death of creatures and beasts that prowled the space around them.

Several years past as Sci detailed every single moment that had occurred over his life to the Cosmos Eternal. It was a strange feeling to have someone to truly talk to, not like the men and people he had met in planes, and not Miranda or James but someone quite litterly on the same wave length as you.

"What a beautiful world…what strange manifestations of nature."

Sci didn't know if it had meant the creatures or nature litterly, but smiled none the less. Living countless life times, it had taken quite a while to tell what had occurred to him over this period of time. The second that the two had met here, they hadn't turned away from each other for a second.

'What a strange set of events…' Sci couldn't help but think.

"I know" Cosmos Eternal said out loud which caused the two to laugh.

Miranda and James stood within a corner watching the two, a strange flicker in their eyes as they had listened to them speak for days and months.

"What made you draw those…orbs from those creatures, I never asked?" Sci said while still gazing out the window.

Cosmos 'looked' to Sci, "It…is the essence of life, energy…just how you understand things by science and thought, I understand it in a different form of understanding. I had travelled into your universe at an unknown time, and felt water flow by my body. I moved through the earth and came forth into a strange space of technologies…which I now understand what those are, and then attracted life forms to me. The aura you felt was something I call resonance."

"What is resonance?"

"It is a form of sending my energy out to perpetrate the very molecules around me, through it I understand what this place is by merely sensing the very atoms that make it up…I can tell you how old this universe is with a glance."

"Amazing…so interesting…" Sci nodded in thought.

"Why did you ask me what I seek? What is it that you grant truly?"

Cosmos seemed to take a moment to ponder, "it would seem each of us was gifted something within our birth of life…for you, to change your form, your control of this universe, have you not ever thought that this was beyond the power of even an eternal single celled organism?" Cosmos had learned quite a lot from Sci's understanding of reality and life.

"I have pondered this too…each cell is the equivalent to several hundred nuclear reactors in potential, with my body being made up of billions and billions of cells…. for me to warp molecules, space, all of this…even with science it has left me pondering my entire life." Sci couldn't help but admit.

"The same goes for me, I do not how…in a vast void of nothingness with energy that had lasted eternity congealing a being."

"You mean to say the big bang theory…that if a void existed for an infinite amount of 'time' in a stable form, how could it then change suddenly to emit a universe. This has always been a loop hole within the theory of the beginning within science…you aren't wrong…"

The two sank into a deep contemplation as to the reality of both their states of existence.

"Symbology…" Sci spoke slowly out loud.

"Hmm…?" Cosmos 'looked' up and over to Sci with that same deep mystery gaze like feeling.

"Nothing…it is something I would have to confirm, and even then albeit correct…would still not give a conclusion…it would actually create a dilemma."

"I see…" Cosmos didn't know how to reply, but did indeed feel something from Sci's words, "My power…or rather, that of the innate ability of mine…is creation outside of reality. In my original place of existence there was nothing, and I alone gave it life and shape"

"Atomic manipulation…no…something greater than that…can you change this world?" Sci had a sudden Epiphone.

"Change? In what regard?" Cosmos asked in reply.

"The fabric of this reality Cosmos…the very fabric of reality. Why not create a new place, unlike that of what would be its past self…"

"Sci…because of the existence of your cell, I can't change this reality."

"Hmm?" Sci looked at him estranged.

"You know why my aura was only so far on your scans?" Cosmos asked amused.

"You don't mean to say…that was only as far as you could cast it?" Sci asked disheartened.

"No of course not, I could cast it across an entire universe if I wanted to if I put in the effort…however here, it is limited and I assume your cells would also be limited in the void I come from…I know not our interaction with the third being like us. If we were to create a universe or plane of existence it would have to not be from the origin of this one."

"Damnit…then where would we begin…" A sudden light flickered in Sci's eyes.

Cosmos caught that glint with interest, only uttering a questioning 'Hmm?'

"Universe 443…a larger stable universe…that is where."

Cosmos remembered the changing scene he had showed of universe 443 to Sci several years ago, "You don't mean to say…that is quite perfect actually. I don't know where we would begin."

"Transformation is what we shall do Cosmos, we begin in a deep understanding of it!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If a calendar hung on the wall, with one's eyes glued to them, they would see pages falling quickly in succession over and over as time flew by at a rapid pace. Cosmos and Sci were both creating a deeper understanding of each other as well as a deeper understanding of the universes and planes of existence outside their origins.

Sci looked up from a holographic screen, Cosmos was floating themselves back and forth in the air as if a hammock was hung there.

"I have compiled many different physical and anatomical graphs and 3d images…of universe 443 and its strange laws. It would seem something as simple as the thrust of a spear can become mighty enough to shatter mountains if 'qi', 'energy', or 'magic' is trained over time with a metaphysical relation to the spear…this can apply to any weapon it seems with some harder then others. It would seem symbolism is very strong, as if the causality of this universe also allows 'ideas' to manifest as real things."

Cosmos nodded, "The 'qi', 'magic', and 'energy', you mentioned has both an interdependence to each other as well as a standalone factor that they each exhibit…for qi, that is the one with the most symbology as the energy they have relation to isn't always in regards to its physical form."

Sci walked over to Cosmos, and beckoned to Miranda.

"Yes?" She asked with a smile while holding a clipboard for 'visual' effects.

"Can you try and find me some coffee?" He smiled back.

"Coffee?... i think we have one in deep freeze…" Images floated by her eyes for a several seconds before an image of an iced over box stopped in front of her gaze.

"Good…bring it out of cryostasis, clone it, and brew me some. It's been a while. Hup!" Sci stepped on the air and landed on his back, or he seemed to, as his body had stopped halfway towards the ground and left him floating there.

Cosmos turned as if to look over to a lover from a bed, "Qi is probably the strangest embodiment of energy there. The reason why I say 'Energy' in a different context…hey, lets call it the 'threes' because that's easier to remember…"

"Miranda…" Sci smiled, and Miranda gave an exaggerated 'fine ill write for you, you dork' look before her hand flickered over the clip board.

Cosmos looked between them and their interactions, and 'smiled' and yet didn't smile, "…anyway, you told me of a phrase from religion and science, 'mind, body, and spirit' remember?"

Sci's eyes darted back in forth on the ceiling before his gaze which had looked to be calculating something changed to an ah type of look, "So…the metaphysical relation between a sword and the energy type also have a relation between the type of 'vessel' I heard about at an innate level…I had figured that part out."

"Yes…but it's the same to me, as looking at three different types of species. The energy 'signature' regardless of what element of 9 or all together they have…still seems to be innately different. Of course the qi is a generated energy over a period of time, so it is technically exempt…but some are born with bodies with a predisposition to qi as well, such as 'yang' or 'yin' bodies…magic is related to the mind, with energy that of the body."

Sci looked conflicted, "I thought it was the other way around? There is the mind vessel that utilizes the mind to wield 'elements' and energy, whereas the body…oh I see"

Cosmos nodded, "Yes…they have a conflicting view point on that planet as well, you said this from your report of going there the last several times. Although I can only hang on the side of the universe, I can still see all…hear all. Within that, they're train of thought much to psychology…religion…is broken amongst different perspectives, however…I can feel it from a third party perspective, and I know what I say to be true."

Sci nodded, "Miranda…" she nodded in return to her name being called.

"Sir…I have compiled a theoretical equation for both situations." Miranda threw a hologram to Sci who waved his hand spreading it in the air.

"9xy…Yx9…I see…"

Cosmos looked at the hologram with their head turned, "What does it mean?"

Sci gazed at the Hologram for a while, "9xy applies to universe 443 in the fact that of 9 elements…x depends on how many they have of it, and y being the output, x cannot change as if they are not born with it, it does not become a path for them to take…whereas for its mirror universe 445 where anyone can train in anything they so choose…it is Yx9, where the elements they choose continually change Y with the choice result of variables of 9 being the output…if y becomes ,(1,2,3,) then the x9 turns into 6…which is to say the amount left to choose from or utilize"

Cosmos turned back onto their back, "that is a bit confusing…"

"it really is, trying to quantify something large with simple small terms is not easy unless one fully understands that in which they want to define…even if I fully understand it, the real 'genius' is the one who is able to explain it."

"Very philosophical of you" Cosmos 'smiled'.

"Isn't that whole universe we are studying the EMBODIMENT of philosophical?" They both burst out laughing.
