"What is the meaning of this?!?"
The alien wandered to the lanky man's face. Ignorant of everyone staring at the duo amidst the purple glow of energy surrounding what was the creature kidnaped from his arms. Unsure of its true intentions on this abused sacred place. It's face grumpy, tired of the shenanigans of the place called earth. Nothing more than a confusing mess of feelings.
It machine lingered behind it, translating his every thought upon the loud speakers and large monitor screens. It seems to be trying desperately to speak in an coherent language but even it seemed a little too flawless for comfort. He can't tell how it is so perfected but that traumatic experience that was that bloody UFO crashing right into his face could explain this sorcery.
"How should I know? I just found this creature of yours deep in a lab! I should be asking you why you are so impatient in the first place!"
Tanner stared right back at him blankly, moving the purple ball of energy directly to its face. Unravelling the creature hiding with fear. Cowering in the dim lights and dizzying violent movements that trampled his movements.
"Your child if that is correct is really smart. Nevertheless what made you decide on this ceasefire in the first place?"
Derek raised his eyebrows at the man's question. Biting his lips at such a strenuous setting. Attempting his hardest to ignore Baku staring down upon the armed soldiers behind them with her guns raised, desperately unsure of her status in the organisation with such weak weapons in her pocket. Weapons that once packed way too much punch back on the ground. His breath laid flustered, out of place amongst the group in his purgatory without weapons and skills to back himself up.
"Caze you idiot. Why did force me here in the first place…"
His brown eyes wavered, whispering silently against the wall of flesh, tired of attracting any further attention to himself. All he stood to gain was the unnecessary dangerous experience of a civilian. Grappled with an incident now deeper than the conspiracies which festered online. Usually much jokes that came to reality were the usual governments and gang related activities. With this nonsense that spread chaos constantly, they would have lost hope almost immediately. Leaving with insecurity in a field day of uneasy gossip.
A man of little achievements and a master of none was all that he had bragging to his family. Unable to fight or fend for himself even with his shotgun stowed in his shed. At the rate he was going, death would only approach him with glee. He sighs uneasily, looking away with dissatisfaction upon himself. Strangely firm in joining their antics despite his angry predicament weeks before. Still reeling at the constant battles and the tense conversations between them in the little peaceful times in solitude at the towers.
"What is this strange feeling…"
The screeching of the machine rolled towards the alien, tilting its head at it's presence. Naturally shaped like an arthropod even with it's four limbs. An ugly sight for the civilian to handle. The alien looked upon the machine, speaking slowly with fluency against the squishing of fluids flowing around the machine. Deciphering a language he can't understand lest know of its capabilities in its functions. It turned to face the man in the casket upon the alien's stagger back. Beaming it's three symmetrical emerald eyes with acknowledgment.
"With the child in our possession, the need to continue such a conflict is now questionable to us. However for a bunch of creatures with the power of intellect, the fact that you fired a large black hole upon the populace is too severe too ignore."
King Ambriosas pondered at the man's face. Furrowing with annoyance at the planet's intentions. Creatures this hard to understand one another was not an uncommon occurrence across the galaxy. Claiming control of said creature and their sly intentions were however more unexplainable. Whatever that was going on on their end was nothing more than a mystery for him. A faceless emotional wreck. At such a juncture, the thought of pressing more charges seemed out of reach.
"We can continue this painful invasion of your lands or we can settle this immediately with your surrender."
The machine ponders at the blank faced man. Unamused at his grumpy silence. Unappreciative of his gaze at it's master, still looking down with dissatisfaction. His partners gasped at its relentless display of force. Furrowing in frustration.
"Are you serious!?!"
Ambar seethed, slamming his boots against the metal flooring. Clattering upon his presence. He lets go of his weak grasp, ignorant of his still bleeding injuries against the three standing by the table. Stomping on the floor for desperate attention against its blank face. Continuing its rattle.
"No buts. Sir would you want me to permit attack mode? Attempted violence has been confirmed."
It turned to face it's master shaking his head in disapproval. Acknowledging its disapproval with a pat on its shoulder. Whispering for some calamity in it's painful fiasco. The news of this ceasefire has already travelled far and wide. Taunting it with a smashed image of his family's legacy. It gripped its palms tightly, unable to let go of its frustration. Any more failures and it's whole life goes up in smoke.
It turns to face at the direction of it's ship, still hiding his wife barely hiding her contempt after its antics earlier. It can't tell if she had calmed after the storm, let alone forgiven it for its recklessness. With the child by its side. Redemption was all it could seek.
"Is there no other way? This chaos would go nowhere after all."
It turned to face Shane pondering at its decision. Still trying her hardest to hide her contempt of the creature in front of it. Unbothered by the long process of her translation by the machine. A long two way street.
"Do you seriously think your actions have no consequences? I guess those up here are more proper after all-"
Shane cuts the machine off, leaning directly to face the machine unamused at her aggression. Watching her peer behind at it's master who looked away to his supervisors standing by the side. Blankly uninterested to understand the words she spoke. The men and women sitting by the table didn't care for it either. Simply sorting out their papers and slouching lazily to the dismay of their earthly intruders.
"And do you think firing a cannon upon a city of civilians is a good way to settle this?!?"
She fumed, listening to the screeching of it's head, relaying much of the information to it's master with bitter amusement. Laughing out loud with rasping of a jaguar amongst its guards listening to the joke. Joining into the fun unlike their human counterparts. Unable to keep its plain expression against the increasingly furious creature bearing down onto it.
"Why not? This is standard procedure."
It whispered into the machine, relaying its every word with glee. Unbothered by the lady gritting her teeth, slamming onto the table amongst the armed soldiers watching cautiously.
"How about this, I challenge you to a one on one duel."
The man staggered back, confused at her claims with his jaw agape. Unsure what to say for a woman this brazen. He turns to her partners, confused at her antics. Frozen at their spots unlike Verda who quickly approached the lady with haste. Horrified at her words despite her firm relay of words.
"SHANE! Do you understand what you are saying!?!"
She waved her frail stinging hands violently, unbothered by it's pain. Trying her hardest to knock some sense to the already broken woman. Even though she is trained, just looking at the species of aliens she plans to duel with is insane to begin with. She can't fathom what is on her mind, if she even had a solid plan to begin with. Nothing can mistake the fact she had been hiding her issues. To have no abilities against a creature hiding deep secrets couldn't be further from the truth.
"Just a knife and a spacesuit each. Outside. Loser will surrender immediately and listen to the winner's pleas."
She blankly stared at the furrowing creature listening to the machine relay her message. Evidently unconvinced at her claims against it. She looks towards its guards, quietly discussing amongst themselves. Alarmed at her requests to brawl their king.
A monster once an elite soldier at the top of his game could hardly compare to her strength. It simply didn't matter if she is just as highly skilled as him. His species had been known to be one of the most physically and mentally strong species out there. Only the combined strength of their strongest creatures can defeat him. They turn to face the creature, unable to ascertain his feelings as he spoke into the machine from view of everyone. Surprising his guards who watched with confusion and rejection to this claims.
They wandered towards him, seemingly begging him to reverse his order. But he didn't seem to budge. She can't tell what they were saying to him. The language barrier far out of her reach. Their faces however seemed to imply the lowly status she had as a species of the universe compared to their excellency. Not something she seemed bothered with at the size of their physique.
"You are still a child aren't you? Be prepared."
He wanders out of the packed room with his guards by his side, careful of the heavily armed soldiers staring by the doorway. Smirking listlessly at the lady scoffing with amusement. Ignorant of her colleagues uneasy stares. Still wondering why she didn't bother to help them until now.
"Are you sure about this? You know this secret of yours won't help matters. There are also stronger individuals that can do this you know?"
Verda whispered into her ear. Looking away from Nemo still worried from her injuries, standing away from the woman on the high chair filled with curiosity. Silently sniggering at her rash decision to act against such a creature with tons of power. Her stride and her error.
"Yes."
