Jian Sangyu and Gu Chen are married because of a business alliance, but they are not specially in love with each other. Jian Sangyu considers Gu Chen as an old-fashioned man who is boring and intimidating, but Gu Chen, who is a chief at the most important guardian team in the country stays faithful to his wife and finds himself a very qualified husband. 
One day, an unexpected earthquake happens, and the couple finds themselves trapped under the rubble. Gu Chen protects Jian Sangyu with his own body, yet both of them die because of the delayed rescue. 
However, Jian Sangyu is reborn and returns to the year before the earthquake. Although she is still married to Gu Chen, Jian Sangyu decides to do something different with her life by becoming a famous movie star so as to live independently, totally away from Gu Chen.
What she has not expected is that her relationship with Gu Chen changes with her second chance at life. Real love begins to bud between them and Jian Sangyu, who has always wanted to divorce Gu Chen, gradually finds herself attached to this man whilst Gu Chen soon realizes that this lovely young wife of his needs more than a loyal husband, but someone who truly cares and loves her with all of his heart.

As Gu Chen saw Grandpa Gu raising his eyebrows and leaving the seat gleefully, he realized that Grandpa Gu was not interested in playing chess to start with. After all, he left the chess game halfway.

Although he found it weird, Gu Chen simply couldn't get Grandpa Gu back to finish the chess game. He sat in the study for a few seconds before following Grandpa Gu downstairs.

In the living room, Grandpa Gu was listening to the little boy talking about the fun events happening at school delightedly. Seeing Gu Chen coming downstairs, he let out a sound of laughter as he patted the little boy's head and said with a meaningful tone, "Don't become someone like your uncle. He simply looks annoying."

The little boy's smile suddenly disappeared. Instead, he stood on the same spot and watched Gu Chen in silence. In the little boy's heart, both his father and his uncle were heroic people.

Ignoring Grandpa Gu's teasing, Gu Chen took a look around in the living room and threw a glance at General who was lying next to him. General was at home, so where was Jian Sangyu?

"Did you see Jian Sangyu?" Gu Chen asked Gu Yang.

"I saw her going upstairs to the room happily a minute ago." Gu Yang spared one look at Gu Chen and asked with a smile. "So you have started to worry about your girl when she is not in sight? Are you afraid that your docile girl would run away from this house? Aha, since when did Chief Gu become so different?"

"Just asking." Gu Chen replied with a calm expression, ignoring Gu Yang who tried to tease him.

And this man who had claimed to just ask the question turned around and went upstairs directly. Gu Yang repeated his teasing by stressing his tone in a very emotional way.

The door of the room was closed, so Gu Chen opened it and walked in directly. Sure enough, Jian Sangyu was inside, and she was lying on her stomach in bed happily.

She had not expected that Gu Chen would have come in unexpectedly. It was a hot day and she had got herself changed into a dress. Because of lying on her stomach, her dress had slipped up to her waist, showing her black underpants with laces as well as a pair of long and tender legs.

Gu Chen found the air even hotter as this scene greeted his sight.

Gu Chen didn't try to conceal the sound of the door closing. After hearing the sound, Jian Sangyu threw a lazy look at the door and when she found that Gu Chen was standing right in front of her, she suddenly sat up from the bed and gave her dress hem a pull to cover her long legs.

It was not until now did Gu Chen realize that Jian Sangyu had a lollipop in her mouth and in her hands was her shining red fruit cell-phone.

So she had been lying on her stomach whilst playing with the cell-phone and eating lollipop?

How on earth did she get the cell-phone back? And where did she get the boldness to eat in his room right in front of his face?

The cat-like woman squinted and smiled as she waved the cell-phone in front of him in a proud way. How dare she!

"I got my cell-phone back with my ability and you can't get it back from me!" Jian Sangyu hopped off the bed and landed on the carpet. The heat made her move her feet away from the carpet and go to the floor next to her.

That was a provocative act she had purposefully tried to do, and after she did it, she regretted it completely.
