"No, Emily. You shouldn't trust him. He probably planned this for all you know," Trent said to Emily.
"He is my friend! I thought you were too...I guess I was wrong...," Emily said back to Trent. "Come on, Owen."
Emily grabbed Owen's hand then started running towards the gym. Trent just growled anger as the image of Emily and Owen got smaller and smaller.
"You barely know him! You just met him today!" He yelled to them. Trent then sighed. He was furious.
"What does she think she is doing?," Trent said to himself.
From behind him he can hear the man struggling to get a grip on a possessed Dave.
"Kid, you should probably get the hell out of here. Its not safe here," the man said to Trent.
Trent turned to look at the man.
"I don't see any danger here. You already have him...just let me finish him," Trent said as his right arm started glowing green.
"Kid, don't do anything stupid. You need to hide," The man said.
"Just hold him." Trent said as he started walking towards the man holding back Dave.
"If I let him go he will hurt you kid, stay back."
"I can't. I need to do this."
He got up to Dave who was struggling to get out of the hold of the man in the black sweatshirt. He looked him in the eyes of Dave, whose pupils didn't show. His eyes were just red and white. Dave's eyes seemed dead. There was absolutely no emotion. It was as if Dave had been asleep all this time, but that didn't matter. Trent was going to defeat this possessed man for Emily. It didn't matter if he was on the brink of death. He will defeat him. As soon as Trent lifted his blade, the man in the black sweatshirt then pulled Dave back and slammed Dave to the ground with incredible force. He then grabbed Trent's wrist.
"Put your blade away you are just making things worse," the man said. Trent then put away his blade and yanked his hand out of the grip of the man.
"You don't understand...I need to do this," Trent said.
The man then sighed and then spoke," look kid...I know exactly how you feel. You want to look heroic in front of that girl, but all you show is anger because you cannot control yourself. Trust me, I was just like you. I had someone I wanted to protect, too...but you can't let that weigh on you kid. So please listen to me and go hide."
The man then smiled. Trent didn't know what to say. He clenched his fists and shut his eyes and took a deep breath. He was calm now.
"Thank you," Trent said. All of a sudden he heard Owen calling for him behind him. He looked back and saw Owen running towards him.
"He might not look like much, but he is trying," the man said. Trent looked at him in confusion.
"I hate him," Trent said.
"You won't know if he is a good friend if you don't give him a chance," the man said. Trent sighed. Dave at this point was getting up and trying to treat the big wound on his head when he was slammed to the ground. Everything was fuzzy. He was dizzy. When things cleared he saw the man and Trent watching as Owen ran up to them. Dave lunged with all his strength. Wind blade in hand, he tried slicing at Trent, but he was blocked by Owen's red blade.
"W-what the hell do you think you are doing?!," Trent said surprised to see Owen so fast.
"Who is pathetic now," Owen said with a smile. Dave then jumped back. As he jumped back, he used some force to push on Owen's blade to send him falling back landing on his back. Owen then picked himself up. His back hurt, but he could still stand.
"You okay, kid?," the man asked Owen. Owen looked back at the man and nodded.
"O-Owen? Thanks," Trent said to Owen.
"You can thank me later. We still need to defeat this guy," Owen said.
"We? Kid, you guys need to hide," the man said.
"But...," Owen said before he got cut off.
"No buts, you need to get out of here," the man said. The man looked slightly above them.
"Guys, I think its better if you stand back... You don't have to go anywhere, just stand back and watch," the man said. Trent and Owen and Trent started backing up. Dave then fixed his eyes on the man with a black sweatshirt. The man gripped on to the zipper of his sweatshirt. He stepped closer to Dave.
"So... what is your guy's names," he asked as he subtly unzipped his sweatshirt.
"O-Owen," Owen answered.
"And I'm Trent," answered Trent.
"Well, Owen and Trent, huh?," the man said with a chuckle. The man then raised his blade in front of him, pointing it at Dave, and said, "It is very nice to meet you. My name is Ted and I'm..."
He cut off his sentence as he gripped his sweatshirt with his left hand, and with one movement of his hand, he took off his sweatshirt. Underneath his sweatshirt was a dark short sleeved shirt with the insignia SP on the front. It looked more like a suit than a shirt, but, nonetheless, it surprised Owen and Trent. They were gazing in awe as the shirt gleamed in the sunlight. Then, with a big smile on his face, he uttered the words,
"...part of the Spiritual Priests."
