Seeing his seniors take off with haste, Huang Yang felt somewhat worried, yet his grandfather's reaction seemed more annoyed than scared. Mo Lin and Huang Mei also took their leave after a formal goodbye, even though Huang Mei couldn't even look at him.
"Grandpa said that I should just do it myself...", Huang Yang muttered to himself, before excitement once again filled his eyes. He directly ran through the door, as he imagined the weapons within the hall.
"What the hell, you almost scared this old man to death!!", shouted out a voice, which blew past Huang Yang's ears, as his eyes scanned the room. Swords, spears, sabers, and so on, filled the room. Some had their own private spots, these were likely the higher tier weapons. While some stood in bulks, clearly lacking charm.
Huang Yang was about to move his feet when he felt someone grab his robes, lifting him off his feet, "Did you not hear me, boy, don't scare your elders!", his words drew Huang Yang's attention, it did indeed look like he had tripped over something.
The old man lacked hair on his head, yet his beard fell down to his belt. His clothes seemed a bit disheveled, even dirty. Huang Yang may just be a six-year-old kid, yet he could tell that he was at fault.
"Sorry senior, I was too excited and I didn't think, I hope you can forgive me", he said with an honest tone. The old man released a sigh before letting Huang Yang feel the ground again.
"Alright, I wouldn't carry a grudge with a child over something this trivial... My name is Lei Nianzu the blacksmith of the Huang family, what can I do for you child", he said having easily forgiven Huang Yang.
"My name is Huang Yang, my grandpa told me to choose a weapon... He would have helped out, but something came up", Huang Yang said with a smile plastered across his face.
"So you are the little genius, Huang Yang, very well, follow me", Lei Nianzu said before swiftly moving through the different sections of the shop. After hearing that Lei Nianzu was a blacksmith, Huang Yang became curious, asking him if he had created all the weapons.
"I have made some high-quality human tier weapons, but I am in reality a profound rank blacksmith, specializing in weapons, so the things you see here is nothing more scrap metal to me...", he said with a prideful smile.
"Why do you want to create weapons Elder Zu? Why don't you cultivate and grow stronger from there?", Huang Yang asked. He felt that a person needed a specific cultivation level to wield high ranking weapons anyway, so why not cultivate more often.
"Child, you should know that only a spirit core realm expert, can wield profound tier weapons, am I right?" Lei Nianzu asked. Huang Yang nodded, this was indeed what he had heard.
"This is not true for experts who can create their own weapons. If an opening realm martial artist creates a profound weapon, they will be linked, giving him control over it. This is the power of a blacksmith, never forget this boy", Lei Nianzu said with a deep voice, leaving Huang Yang to ponder.
"In reality, I have great talent as a blacksmith, yet my journey began too late. This lead to me being stuck, besides I'm not that great of a cultivator myself, so my limit lies here, at Profound tier blacksmith", he said before quickly urging Huang Yang to follow him.
"If you're a Profound blacksmith, shouldn't you work for a sect, like the Radiant Sword sect... The Huang family should be too small for you", Huang Yang asked as he followed Lei Nianzu to the back of the armory.
"You are indeed too smart for your own age kid", Lei Nianzu said with a chuckle, before continuing, "When I was younger, your grandfather, the patriarch saved me, and since I enjoy peace and serenity, I choose to be the Huang family's blacksmith, even after reaching profound rank".
"I have a lucky family", Huang Yang thought to himself.
They soon reached the back of the shop, where they entered a small room. The weapons were far fewer in number, yet they all seemed to be integrated with the energy of heaven and earth, giving them a unique feeling.
They all had their place on the walls, going from left to right in an orderly fashion. In the middle of the room were two podiums, one had a spear, while the other one had a sword. Beneath them were a couple of nameplates, 'Purple Flame spear and Bright Flame sword'.
"These weapons are at the mid profound tier, created by me... Your grandfather also has a weapon that I have made for him, the Fierce Flame saber.", Lei Nianzu said, unable to hide his bloated pride.
"We really are a family of fire... Can't even find a good weapon without "flame" in the name", Huang Yang lampooned in his head. He looked at this elderly blacksmith and asked, "My father is a sword user, is the Bright Flame sword for him, when he reaches the core realm".
Lei Nianzu smiled and said, "Indeed it is, your father is a rare talent and even humble, he will be a good owner of the sword", yet his face began to darken as his eyes landed on the spear, "The Purple Flame spear was made for your first uncle, yet he is arrogant and undeserving of it, even your grandfather, the patriarch himself has come to agree with me on this". He said with a heavy heart. He did not want to see the Huang family fall, due to one man's arrogance and greed.
"My wish is that Huang Hao will take the spear, he has a good personality... While his power is lacking, he still has the composure of an unmovable mountain, in the end, he will become someone great one day", Lei Nianzu said with a look of anticipation.
Within his heart, Huang Yang couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for his uncle, they were family and his dream was to bring everyone he cared about to the top, yet he could not stop himself from feeling hate towards this uncle of his. In reality, he believed that Huang Qiang would likely kill him if he had the chance.
"Now go look at some low-level human tier weapons to the left of you, see if something catches your eyes", Lei Nianzu said, before finding himself a chair at the corner of the room, taking a seat while flipping through some books.
Huang Yang clasped his hands in gratitude, before starring at the selection of weapons in front of his eyes. Whips, knives, fans, and spears could all be found upon the walls of the room. Huang Yang, however, chose to skip them, he already had a weapon of choice, "let me get a sword".
He had trained with the sword before, even performed with one the other day, proving his talent. Yet the biggest reason lay in his idolization of his father. He was the talent of the family and would likely be in a higher realm, had it not been for his sword training. His father had told him, that the sword path, was the only path he would walk.
It was even said that he could already rival a core realm expert due to his skills. Huang Yang's eyes swept over the selection of swords which he could choose from, "Heavy short sword, Silver long sword, and the Red steel sword". These were the swords that he could choose from.
The Silver long sword looked impressive, but he knew that is was too big and he didn't like how flashy it looked. The Red Steel sword gave off the wrong kind of energy, he wasn't sure what it was, it just wasn't for him, this was the intuition of a martial artist. He then picked the last sword, the heavy short sword, yet when he held it, he found something odd.
"Elder Zu, why is this sword called heavy, it doesn't weigh that much", He said with a frown. Lei Nianzu took his eyes off his book and revealed an astonished look.
"You really are a monster, for early opening realm martial artist, that sword is too heavy to handle, a person often needs to be at the 5th stage in order for them to use it", he said while rubbing his beard.
"But I would like a very heavy sword, which can be used to train my body, do you have one?", Huang Yang said. He really wanted to impress his parents.
"I have a grand human tier weapon just for you boy", he said with a burst of teasing laughter. He then walked over to the right of Huang Yang where he found a greatsword.
"This is the Bronzefire greatsword, a grand human tier weapon, it may be a bit too big now, yet you will grow into it. Why not try it", he said, before handing it to Huang Yang.
As the sword took its place upon Huang Yang's outstretched hand, the ground seemed to crumble beneath his feet, as the wooden floor almost burst upon.
Somehow Huang Yang stabilized himself while holding the sword. He felt that just swinging this sword would be difficult, "perfect for training", was the words within his mind.
Lei Nianzu's jaws almost dropped as he saw this. He knew better than anyone that this sword could normally only be wielded by someone at the 10th layer of the opening realm, this told him one thing. This kid had a grand human tier body.
It is said that a person can refine their body into a weapon, even following the ranking system of weapons, yet who would have thought that this kid would have this kind of body at the age of six.
