The formerly recognizable ridicule seen in the spectators' eyes which had mimicked Huo Shan, quickly changed into that of fear and astonishment. The scene of a small boy, holding a thin little sword when fighting a young adult, had already blown their minds.
However, the final straw fell when Huo Shan had his hand mutilated after delivering a massive strike, which most servants wanted to kneel in front of. The snow had circled his arm, as it smashed down from great heights.
Yet the ice which had enhanced Huo Shan's own power and defence, had been mercilessly broken into smithereens, by a boy standing straight with a sword held tight. The picture of a fight between two martial artists way beyond their own horizon, had made some tremble with excitement, while others simply trembled due to fear.
Burning fury burst from Huo Shan's eyes, after seeing the smile of his opponent, who was far younger than him. Never had he felt this humiliated, not even his father would hit him.
This little boy had destroyed him in every aspect, the only possible explanation would be that the thing was a demon. As a man, how could he not have his pride?
"Demon! You are courting death!!", he frantically screamed while ice gathered around his left hand. Winds began brewing, yet the snow falling from the sky, apparently choose not to join in on the momentum.
After concentrating all of his energy into the strike, that ended up mutilating his precious hand. His qi reserves had truly fallen quite the amount. No matter how much rage and anger he felt, the same level of strength could not be produced once again.
However, Huo Shan did not stop trying, his hand once again met the frail-looking blade of Huang Yang, while his hand didn't end up like a bloody mess this time, the ice still broke.
He tried again and again, with strength that would blow the watchers away, should he aim at them. By the side, Ma Gang began to slowly wake up. He had a strong headache and blood was leaking from his mouth, but he luckily survived.
His eyes turned to look at the alluring Bing Wei who stood with the two lookouts Peng Chen and Fu Shui. They all had shivering bodies, but then again it was a cold day.
He noticed that they were all staring into the center of the circle created by the Huang family guards. His eyes nearly fell from his skull after seeing Huo Shan with bloodied hands, showing off his will to kill.
Huang Yang observed his surroundings with a cold expression. He had felt joy the moment he advanced in his training. The feeling of progress always helped him bring out a smile, no matter the situation. Unfortunately, it only lasted a couple of seconds.
He soon returned to reality, where he was fighting a sinister man who had beaten up a blind boy for no reason. He returned to his place in the middle of a circle created by guards who should be serving him if they knew his name, but he hadn't even gotten the chance to mention it before the fight.
He was also getting tired of feeling Huo Shan's strikes, which became weaker and weaker for every single one of them. This horrible person couldn't even help him train, but Huang Yang didn't want to kill him.
Had Huang Yang been an arrogant young master from a big family, Huo Shan would have lived his last day by now. This world thrived on death, letting the strong devour the weak. However, Huang Yang knew none of this, yet the day would one day come where he did.
He turned his head to look at Hao Hai who stood in a daze after hearing all the clashes. He of course had no real idea about the situation.
"How often does Huo Shan threaten and beat people?", Huang Yang asked Hao Hai, bringing him out of his daze.
"Ehm I- I have never seen him do anything else...", he answered with a shaking voice. He was surprised when he heard Huang Yang's voice. He wasn't dumb and knew that this clearly told him about the battle situation. This boy that he randomly met turned out to be incredibly strong for his age.
Huang Yang took in a deep breath, silently mumbling to himself, before showing resolution. "My father told me, that I would meet people as horrible as demons, which I should rid the world off... but I don't want to kill, luckily I have another option", Huang Yang said.
He brandished his sword in an overly showy fashion before pointing it towards Huo Shan. He first aimed at his head, yet slowly the sword fell, landing in the direction of Huo Shan's mutilated hand.
A chill ran down Huo Shan's back, as sweat began to leak from every part of his body. His legs almost caved in but his last amount of power held him, allowing him to keep a small amount of dignity, at least in his own eyes.
"D- Don't you dare, m- my father is the ruler here, he will h- hunt you down!", he shouted while trying to stop his voice from trembling. He subconsciously tried to hide his hand.
"Oh, but I thought that this was the Huang estate, was I wrong?", Huang Yang said with a playful smile, which a child shouldn't have in this situation.
The spectators all took a step back in fear. Even the guards, who knew that they needed to act, all swallowed some saliva while trying to stop themselves from retreating.
"Since you are so proud of that palm of yours, why not see if it can stop my sword", Huang Yang said. His aura seemed to pressure all within a range of a hundred feet, triggering fear and reverence in others, as he stood there like a hungry tiger wanting to eat a sheep.
The second Huang Yang was about to charge, a shout bringing with it unprecedented might sounded out, from further down the street. "Stop!!".
The circle of guards created an opening, while the spectator made room for a person to walk all the way through. From the crowd came a man walking out.
Half of his hair had gone grey, yet he still had a youthful flare and a clean jawline. His face was slightly pale while his eyes shined blue. He came wearing dark robes with silver patterns forming wavy snakes. He was thin but stood straight with anger glowing in his eyes. From every step he took, a cold wave of wind would make all who saw him shiver.
Seeing the middle-aged man with quite the young appearance, the guards all straightened their backs with awe spewing out their eyes. "Welcome lord Huo Yu Bo!".
Spectators and Huo Shan, all heaved a sigh of relief when they saw the man. He was the one with the most power in the outer estate. He was in the awakening realm.
Huo Yu Bo took one look at the situation, before arrogantly taking a look at Huang Yang. His nose seemed to reach the skies along with his own pride. "How you anything to say before I kill you?", he asked Huang Yang without finding the need to look more at this youth.
Like his son, he obviously thought that Huang Yang was a demon and that killing him was justified. A demon was evil and seeing what this thing had done to his son, the only thing he could think of was cutting it into pieces.
Huang Yang could clearly feel that the man standing in front of him, was above him when it came to his cultivation realm. His thoughts began to race back and forth as he desperately tried to figure out what to do. From what it looked like, it didn't really matter what he said, since this Huo Yu Bo would simply kill him.
Standing across from his was Huo Shan who wickedly smiled while looking at Huang Yang. He was about to lose his hand, but thanks to his father showing up to save him, there was no reason to feel fear. "I will cut you into a million pieces and take your swords as a reward!", he loudly said.
Many spectators began shaking their heads as they looked at this shameless young master. Huo Shan lost fair and square in a fight, yet now that he had a strong backing, he thought himself the winner.
Huang Yang's eyes turned cold. He made a choice. Since Huo Yu Bo wouldn't let him live, no matter what he said, why not just do as he said. He didn't believe that saying his name would change anything now, as no one would really trust him.
In a quick motion, he bent his legs and blasted himself forward at high speed. Huo Yu Bo's faint smile froze, as his eyes showed panic and rage. He had never thought that this demon would ignore him and charge at his son.
"I'll kill you", he shouted out in anger as he almost flew towards his son as a shield. It wasn't even half a second before he arrived, yet in silence, all he could do was catch the mutilated hand of his son, falling from the sky...
