A Good Training

The people who had gathered around, or poked their heads out the windows looked at the young boy with a bit of ridicule and mockery. They had obviously seen that he possessed too much power of a child his age. He could easily take down the giant Lu Gong.

But he was now standing in front of Huo Shan, while being surrounded by a bunch of guards who served and protected the family. Many had already declared that this boy was a demon, giving them enough reasons to hate him and his existence.

Looking around, Huang Yang honestly felt as though the looks given to him were kinda familiar. He felt as though Huang Zhilan and Huang Lang were looking at him. He could even match it up to the eyes of Huang Qiang and his dumb son.

He turned his head to look at the small and bewildered Hao Hai, who didn't even have the chance to see anything. In some ways, Huang Yang appreciated him more for this, since he would not look at Huang Yang with scorn, even if he wanted to.

Huo Shan had disgust written over his face, or maybe Huang Yang just found him disgusting, especially seeing how he looked at the tightly dressed lady.

"Humph, demons like you can do nothing but die!", he said with a look of malice and a craving for the blood of Huang Yang to spill.

Huo Shan took out a couple of pills from his robes, after which he quickly threw them into his mouth in a hurry. The pills were most likely mortal tier pills used to help replenish his qi.

While Huang Yang had learned a bit about pills, it was hardly a thing he made use of, seeing as he would always wake up fine the next day after a nerve breaking exercise.

Huang Yang looked at Huo Shan as if observing a halfwit who had only learned how to eat. The man swallowed pills as if they were candy. Even the surrounding people felt a bit awkward because of the time it took him. It honestly gave Huang Yang enough time to go down and move Hao Hai to a more secure location by the edge of the circle, while gently keeping clear of the guards' spears.

As if this was just another season with uncle Pen Min, but with pills instead of alcohol, he innocently asked, "Are you ready now?", which greatly angered Huo Shan.

For some reason, he felt as though he needed to be prepared when fighting this little kid, almost as if he was standing in front of a senior like his father. Cold ice slowly began to form on his palm as he squatted down into a fighting stance.

Huang Yang could feel that this guy had reached a higher stage than him, but no matter how hard he tried, he just didn't see him as a challenge, moreover, he almost saw him as a weak animal.

Without noticing it the body of Lu Gong had been dragged to the side, lying not that far away from Ma Gang who was being watched by a couple of guards.

Huang Yang allowed his coat to slide off him in a fluid motion while ignoring the scabbard still hidden in it, since the thin sword was already in his hands. While this fight may not ignite his fighting spirit, he needed to improve his mastery over his communication with the blade.

He to squatted down into a fighting stance, with his left foot pointing towards Huo Shan, while positioning the sword by the side of his head pointing it in the direction of his body towards his enemy.

He began to drive his qi as he felt the metal elements with a calm mind, yet this could not be said for Huo Shan who launched himself forward in a hurry. Huang Yang slowly exhaled allowing his warm breath to almost produce steam thanks to the cold air.

His muscles relaxed as if he had no intention of using his body in the fight. Like this, he would allow the metal to move by creating a connection. He also knew that his body was ridiculous, almost like a cheat, at least in the early realm.

Huo Shan grabbed out, aiming for nothing more than Huang Yang's head, not caring about the life of this little boy. Streams of wind began to gather around his palm, bringing with it a bone-chilling feeling.

With nothing more than his sword and qi, Huang Yang met the palm without hesitation. The direction of the palm diverted, yet another one was closely following, appearing as though it wanted to slap Huang Yang.

Huang Yang twisted his hips as he allowed his sword to block the strike almost without using his own body. From a distance, his movements looked peculiar, as his arms almost looked limp, not even trying to take the fight seriously.

Somehow every powerful strike of Huo Shan was deflected with only small amounts of power, allowing his anger to surge. "Fight you coward!", he shouted out as he once again lashed out with a palm that drove the wind with it.

The truth was that even Huang Yang wasn't really that satisfied. He had no intention of simply defecting the blow, he wanted to use this thin sword to block the strikes. Huang Yang kept on going with unhappy eyes.

With a swift movement, he allowed his body to fall back by almost gliding over the snow as if standing on a field of ice. He took a deep look at his sword with a tinge of anger showing.

"Ha! Looks like this demon is a runner, keep him in the circle!", Huo Shan said with a sinister chuckle as he approached Huang Yang.

"I'm thinking, so no talking", Huang Yang said with a deadpan expression.

The fury in Huo Shan's eyes had no way of hiding any longer. Some watchers even felt as though the demon could be any of the two honestly. The thoughts of the watchers mattered not to Huo Shan, who simply wanted to allow his rage to soar.

He couldn't help but think about how lovely it would be to kill this little kid. How dare he act so arrogant in front of him in his territory. Ever since he was born, all of this was meant for him, as though the Huang family didn't even exist.

The inner and outer parts of the Huang estate may actually be two completely different worlds, each owned by different people. It certainly seemed that way from how Huo Shan was acting. Had he known that Huang Yang's goal was to gather talented servants and soldiers from the outer area, in order for them to train with the true family, he would likely lick his feet.

One had to wonder just how his face would look after this since no matter what he did now, life wouldn't stay the way it did after today. In other words, his fall was now inevitable.

All thoughts about how the future was going to be, had found their place in the back of his head, not to be examined for some time. He simply focussed on enhancing his power as he took charge against Huang Yang.

Seeing Huo Shan coming closer for every passing millisecond, Huang Yang ignored the war cries coming from him and authorized his eyelids to fall. Time seemed to stop as he began driving his qi to new heights, viciously taking a hold of the metal elements in the swords, enforcing them.

He had learned how to improve the speed and power of his Bronzefire Sword before, but he hadn't really tried to enhance toughness like now.

Huo Shan had already reached Huang Yang, as he changed his strategy into a flying punch. He allowed his strong legs to push him off the ground, granting him momentum and far more power when falling down towards Huang Yang with his right hand taking charge.

Ice now fully covered his hand along with a dense amount of wind streams, which increased the speed of his descent. The scene was grand as the snow flared up into the sky in a hurry as it pursued the ice hand.

Snowflakes from high above hurried down to join the gathering, creating a small whirlwind in doing so. While not much seemed to happen when people looked at Huang Yang, a unique feeling kept on growing within their hearts. It felt as though they were looking at an immovable object who had been standing there for years.

The moment finally came and the two met each other, the scene looked weird seeing a young adult jumping down towards a small boy, but the next second made the spectators forget about this.

A shockwave blew all the snow away, densely covering the surrounding soldiers in white. The ground beneath Huang Yang broke into pieces yet he stood strong.

His thin sword glowed sliver as the sound of ice breaking sounded out in echoes, penetrating the ears of the watchers. The thin silver sword in Huang Yang's hands became flooded with blood, as people saw the mutilated hand of Huo Shan resting on the blade.

Huo Shan's eyes were bloodshot and filled with pain. He felt disbelief and hate. His hand appeared to have been crippled to the extreme.

Holding the sword was Huang Yang who had now opened his eyes and showcased a white smile, "Thanks for helping me train!".
