The rage which awoke in the eyes of the Zhu duo was truly great after hearing the words of Pen Min. This servant of a lowly Huang family actually dared to talk down at them, they wanted to do nothing more than slice him up.
Yan Gong also had a disgruntled look in his eyes, he was of equal standing with Zhu Mu. While he thought himself superior to him in many aspects, they had both grown up together. They had joined different sects since they both came from different support families.
His Yan family supported the Radiant Sword sect and held great importance when it came to it, but the Zhu family came from the Flowing Lighting sect. While he said support, in reality, they almost owned the sect.
If a person didn't come from the Zhu family, it would be difficult for them to ever reach tall heights. The Radiant Sword sect did indeed provide more help to those of the Yan family, but it was not nearly as bad, a person just needed to possess enough talent.
The good thing about Pen Min's comment was that Huang Yang may just be talented. He would honestly find it easier if he wasn't since he could then call off the marriage, but if Huang Yang had enough talent, then he just needed to protect him until he had the chance to grow up.
The children by the side were still looking at Zhu Tian with teasing smiles, as even they had the same thoughts as Pen Min. Huang Yang had survived a battle against an awakening realm martial artist, while he was saved in the end, he did deliver a great blow to Huo Yu Bo before falling.
No matter what was said, they couldn't believe that this arrogant young master from some high family, held more strength than their own young master.
"Since your masters aren't here, I shall punish you in their stead!", Zhu Mu shouted out. His aura began intensifying as clouds covered the sky. Slowly the light from the sun began to vanish.
Blue sparks emerged from his right hand as it turned into a giant whip. It extended from his right all the way up to the sky. The destructive aura it gave off along with the blue sparks was a clear sign of what it was.
This was Zhu Mu's martial spirit the Blue lightning whip. The Zhu family always prided themselves on their meager amount of lighting affinity and their martial spirits. While they could hardly compare to Huang Yang's talent when it came to fire, just a bit of talent with lightning was already hailed as a great power.
Lightning held great fighting ability, giving them enough power to destroy people who had more talent in the other elements. The blue lightning whip was especially fierce as it could strike with great power, accuracy, and speed.
Seeing how the scene was about to escalate, Huang Hao stood in front of the kids, saving them from any attack that might implicate them. He was truly like a protective father to them.
Yan Gong was also getting annoyed, he had allowed Zhu Mu to follow him, but now he was just making a scene. If Huang Yang was talented then he would be happy and respectful to the Huang family, but since he had no idea as of yet, he couldn't make a decision.
If Huang Yang was only so and so, then he would allow Zhu Mu to do as he wanted. He was about to stop Zhu Mu, but was shocked when he saw that Pen Min was already in front of him without him realizing it.
"Kids, let me teach you something about the world... There are always higher mountains and heavens beyond the heavens... One must never think too highly of one's power", Pen Min said in a steady voice.
He was always a drunk who enjoyed smiling and having fun, but now his aura was cold and domineering. He stood tall before Zhu Mu without moving an inch.
The kids nodded along, while even Huang Hao found himself agreeing. He was scared for Pen Min's safety, but he suddenly realized that he actually had no clue when it came to what level of strength Pen Min had achieved, he hardly knew about his origin.
A flash was seen and a scream soon followed. The people looked at Pen Min who was still standing without a scratch. They then turned to Zhu Mu.
His arm was still pointing towards the sky with the whip in his hand. But deep within his shoulder was a blade. The sword on Pen Min's hip was gone, it had launched itself off without any of them noticing it.
"A person needs to understand his strength, along with his opponent's strength before acting... This man forgot to understand be and now he must be punished for his stupidity, such is the world", Pen Min said as he took steady steps towards Zhu Mu.
"Father!", screamed Zhu Tian, yet he did not move. He could hardly blink his eyes due to the immense pressure from Pen Min.
Like his son, Zhu Mu would no longer move, his arm kept on pointing up, while the only moving thing from his body was the blood flowing from the wound.
"Let me tell you this, even your ancestors greet me with respect... Is that understood?", Pen Min asked, making Zhu Mu and even Yan Gong struggle to nod their heads. They had no idea how the Huang family had gotten on the good side of such a strong senior.
Pen Min came closer and closer at a steady pace, which had each step echoing through the nearby woods. His aura was menacing with deep power, making others feel like they were looking at the deepest ocean.
He soon reached Zhu Mu, who could only look on without the ability to move. The difference in strength was simply too great. He felt as though death was coming his way.
"You told me that you would punish me in place of my master... but now I shall punish you in the stead of your father", he said with a voice that held ice-cold killing intent.
"Ple-please senior, I-I had no idea, do you really want to start a war with the Zhu family, o-over a simply accident", Zhu Mu said with a trembling voice. Each word of his was followed by a red line within his widened eyes. He desperately hoped that the mention of his family was enough to settle this.
It was well known that his family, along with the other support families of the six sects, all had a soul realm ancestor. Some even had a couple of elders in the soul realm. He himself was only one realm beneath his father, the patriarch, who was in the early soul realm.
He had yet to turn one hundred, making him quite the talent in most people's eyes. Maybe the Tang family would look down on him, but he had a great standing when it came to the six sects.
"It would indeed be a bit annoying if I had to fend off your little family, but I really can't stand the person you are, so a small punishment should be in order", Pen Min answered with a contemplating voice.
Before even getting a chance to defend himself with words, Zhu Mu saw how Pen Min moved his hand towards the sword still allowing blood to leave his shoulder. For some reason, he didn't think that Pen Min would simply just remove the sword. Not with all the killing intent flowing from him.
With a lazy hand, Pen Min gripped the sword. With the rise of his hand, the pressure followed. Zhu Mu felt the power from the pressure increase every second until he could barely take it anymore.
A cold smile flashed across Pen Min's face as he made a quick movement with the sword. The Zhu duo felt their hearts drop. Zhu Mu was in unfathomable pain, while Zhu Tian felt grief and hatred.
Pen Min had violently dragged his sword down from Zhu Mu's shoulder, all the way to his elbow. A giant wound was visible with white bones being split into two, all the way down the arm. Blood flew from the arm, yet none of it seemed to land on Pen Min as he stood with his hand still grasping the sword hilt.
A wound like this could destroy the future of many martial artists, but luckily for Zhu Mu, he was already in the core realm, giving him plenty of ways to heal it. It was hardly gonna stop him from cultivating.
"I will allow you to heal this wound when five years have passed, only due to me showing your elders' respect", Pen Min said. As if it was divine order, silver light glowed from the sword before he removed it with ease.
There was no blood on the sword, it even looked brand new. His power allowed him to make such a ridiculous request since no one could stop him.
Zhu Tian hurried over to his father, in order to give him a helping hand, only to be frightened to death after being able to see directly through his father's arm, from his shoulder to his elbow. Only now did he see how fearful the world could be, but at the same time, he promised that he would repay this debt, and he would start by crippling Huang Yang in front of his family.
Pen Min once again began walking towards Huang Yang's location, which was towards the mountain.
"Now then, let us go meet a true monster..."
