Feeling of Defeat

The older generation had all seen the fast movements, which Huang Yang had demonstrated. His sword was very thin, which made it harder to see, but they had reached a higher realm, and could therefore clearly follow the path of the blade.

He was resting it silently by Zhu Tian's throat, without any shaking of his body. Unfortunately, Zhu Tian couldn't stop himself from trembling. He was older than Huang Yang but was still three stages behind him, but he could hardly think about that now.

He had never felt a sword so close to his throat before, he felt as though he was but a second away from death, which he was in a way since Huang Yang had the power to kill him that very moment, but of course, Zhu Mu would not allow it.

The other children who had come to meet their hero had actually seen him in action (except Hao Hai). The only thing that bothered them, was that they didn't have the ability to follow the whole thing with their eyes.

Luckily they could catch the face of fear Zhu Tian showed, along with seeing the broken sword. The sword Zhu Tian was using was likely in the human tier, but it was already amazing that Huang Yang had the ability to destroy it.

A person had to remember, that even Huo Yu Bo, an awakening realm martial artist had to dig deep and find explosive power within himself.

Huang Yang simply moved too fast. Yan Gong had been in a daze ever since seeing Huang Yang, as he could tell what his cultivation level was, just by a quick glance.

The same counted for Zhu Mu, but he had to knock himself out of his dazed state, in order for him to help his son. He was about to open his mouth, when he saw Huang Yang, moving his sword away from his son's throat.

"Dad, my swordsmanship has advanced!", Huang Yang said with a smile. While it wasn't that of an ecstatic child, his parents were just happy to see him in a good move.

"Good job Yang'er, looks like your training has paid off", Huang Shi said, while the others nodded along. His boy had been more focussed on his sword than on inner cultivation in the last month or two. His hand was healed and it seemed as though he had gained inspiration from his fight with Huo Yu Bo.

He had been a bit too focussed lately, but Pen Min had also told him that he needed to remember his foundation, which was largely his sword combat. There was a lot a person could learn about himself and the world when exploring the sword.

He was fast and powerful but still tried to remain calm and unmovable. This is what he had tried to understand by himself through the sword. Then again, he is a seven-year-old kid, so understanding the deepest part of dao is simply impossible.

He had heard that talent in fighting was a great thing he possessed, but advancing in the art of sword wasn't something he could continue doing, by simply practicing and fighting.

He needed to experience life and gain enlightenment. His life had just begun, so there was no reason for him to rush forward. He had even made a new deal with his father and Lei Nianzu, which was now about to start.

He would begin smithing thanks to the rapid advance of his strength. This would allow him to control his strength better and even gain a hobby. His parents wanted to see him soar one day, but not leave his humanity behind.

They were worried that he may end up distancing himself from others due to his talent. He knew that this was a very real risk, but he didn't complain since he was born in far better conditions than others.

Only now did Huang Yang's eyes scan the crowd, after which he saw some new faces. He knew that his parents and grandfather would be here, but even Zhou Ru and Hao Hai had arrived with some friends.

They even had Huang Hao and Pen Min with them. He figured that they were the new talented group the family had taken in to train. He even had the urge to meet them, but he suddenly saw his grandfather calling him over.

He saw two adults standing by him. One of them was thin and tall and had the same features as the random boy who had just attacked him out of nowhere. The other adult was burly with big muscles, a beard, and blond short hair. He stared at him in a daze.

"Hey grandpa, who was the boy that just attacked me?", he asked while running towards Huang Canfeng.

"That's the young master of the Zhu family, this is his father Zhu Mu", he answered with a satisfied smile. Zhu Mu didn't stand around a second longer, he ignored Huang Yang while going to his son. He had an ugly expression and deep rage in his eyes, but luckily Huang Yang was more merciful than Pen Min.

"Father, I-I don't know what happened", Zhu Tian said with unfocused eyes, looking out into the unknown distance.

"We will take our leave!", Zhu Mu said with a sharp voice, he was clearly carrying a grudge for this. With a blink the two were gone, leaving Huang Yang standing in complete bafflement. He had never seen the true power of a core realm martial artist. He would likely freeze if he saw Pen Min use his power.

Before Huang Yang even had a chance to understand who the two people really were, or why they were here, he saw his grandfather shaking his head.

"Now then, this is Yan Gong, the future patriarch of the Yan family and the father of your fiance, show some respect", Huang Canfeng said in a formal tone.

"It is an honor to meet you, my name is Huang Yang", he said with a small bow. He knew that his future father-in-law was meant to visit him someday, but he thought that a couple of months would have to go by.

Seeing the respectful attitude of the monster in front of him, Yan Gong gave a faint smile. If a youth with higher status or another background entirely, had been born with similar talent, they would likely be the most arrogant bastard to exist.

At least Huang Yang was respectful towards his elder, unlike the young masters of the six supporting families. Zhu Tian was a great example of bad parenting.

"Little Yang, I came to see how you were improving, but it seems that I have nothing to worry about... I am deeply happy about your engagement to my daughter", without him even thinking about it, he had already begun calling Huang Yang, little Yang.

This boy's family might be small and not up to his status, but with his talent, it hardly mattered to him. He would marry his daughter and bring greatness to the two families. He even had a dream of absorbing the Huang family, since they were of lower status.

Then again this all depended on Huang Yang, in the end, he would have the power to chose which family would absorb the other, Yan Gong only thought about him being one of the ancestors to a powerful family in the future.

Maybe they could even become the supporting family of a higher-ranked sect. To some, this may not seem like such a big wish, but to him, it meant far more than anyone could imagine.

He knew that his golden days would come to an end, it was even possible that Huang Shi would overtake him one day, which was not that surprising seeing as they had been attracted to the Huang family due to his mutated Skyfire Lion.

He really would have never imagined that he would hit a far bigger jackpot in the form of Huang Yang.

"Thank you for your praise, I look forward to meeting the daughter of heaven", Huang Yang said with a steady tone. He was being more formal than normal and had multiple times heard his family call her a child of heaven.

"HAHA, something tells me that she has met her match in you", Yan Gong said with a chuckle. He hardly cared about Huang Yang being stronger than his daughter since he would then be the one to stand in front. Protecting future generations, while she could be totally safe.

"Now my friends let us get something to eat, formal business is boring HAHA", Yan Gong laughed as he clapped Huang Canfeng on the shoulder.

Who would have thought that coming here was a great win for him? He would fight off the young masters and the other families, just by the mention of Huang Yang's talent.

Who in their right mind, could stand in front of him declaring that their son had more talent than his future son-in-law.

Had the young men, who hoped for the chance to marry the princess of the Yan family, heard his thoughts or seen what had happened today. All they would feel was total defeat.
