Synopsis

As all kids do, Hera wanted to be an explorer. Sadly when she turned 18 she discovered that her stats and lack of skills made her fail the requirements to become one, and she went to work on a bookstore.

That should have been the end of her story. But when she wins a lottery to have her level up she discovers a hidden skill and a rare one at that.

The system gave her dream back, and this time she is not letting it go.

##############################

The story is about a world where game-like systems are the norm, Everyone has a level, status and even skills are a common thing.

If your stats are good you can even become an explorer, someone that ventures inside a place called MAZE, a dungeon of sorts filled with monsters creatures and things that the regular world is missing such as magic.

The story follows Hera, a woman who wanted to be an explorer but her status were too low to become one. One day she wins a raffle that allows her to level up for the first time giving her the chance to achieve her childhood dream.

It's more about how things work and what you can do with them than about power or revenge.

The rhythm might be a bit slow for some but that is the idea. I want to give sort of a slice of life feeling to most of it.

Shameless self-review. I do hope everyone can enjoy this novel. Our MC will spend a lot of time on her own exploring and discovering things inside the MAZE. The idea is to mix some regular fantasy troupes with some slice of life, showing how is to actually live as someone who fights monsters and explore different places for a living.

One of the rare books on Webnovel that is actually well written, has a plot, and characters with depth. The world is interesting and unique enough to not follow the standard trope of System integration into the world. The MC is relatable and human with foibles, desires, and fears that make her relatable. She has a dimensionality to her that most OP characters in webnovel's lack. I think this is a must read for anyone that enjoys System type novels.

5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟. The storyline is good, the characters have depth, the main character is definitely no hero type, not everything goes out for her but she's not the smartest, not the strongest, feels really natural.

So far even with the small amount of chapters I am really enjoying this. It may seem similar to other system novels, but with the way it is going it feels more... fresh than other novels I've read. I can not wait to see where it goes.

I have to say that this world the author has created is really, really interesting. It's the type of story that makes me want to see it in the visual medium. Always while reading a chapter I am trying to visualize everything. And to be able to make the reader want to visualize is the proof of how invested they have become in your story. Hera, in the first six chapters, has been very well written out and set up for further character development. Few people characterize their MCs in the first few chapters and many who try to do it are not able to very well. This is one of the rare examples of stories where it is done well and that just adds so much more to this story. For a book that is more about world-building (at least that's what I understand from the description), you have created an excellent stage to further write. A very solid read that I'd recommend people who like world-building to definitely try. Good work, Author!

The writing us phenomenal but still need work on grammar and punctuation. Overall, the plot is well written and guides the readers to its intended outcome. I've read some novels with the similar premise, but they were poorly written. How do you feel writing a story that captivates my eye?

The worldbuilding in this one is absolutely superb. The whole stats thing, special hidden skills, abnormal growth rate, explorers and the MAZE remind me of Danmachi a bit, and I absolutely love Danmachi, so that's a huge plus. I love the intricacies with the attributes and how the skills interact with them. I also love the concept of the three heroes and the almost religious air to them. There's just so much good about this novel I can't really list them without this review getting too long. Hera is an amazing, relatable MC who has very subtle character development. There's a ton of stuff you can infer about her just from the way her charisma stat makes her "prettier" to how she folds under pressure and doesn't think to redistribute her points before leaving. There are a good amount of grammar errors, most of them being with tenses (using past tense and then switching to present for a sentence or two) but everything is still understandable and since you're a non-native speaker it's fine. The story is still very, very enjoyable. Your writing is descriptive and I can envision every scene. You also have a unique writing style or aesthetic that makes MAZE a real treat to read. Definitely an underrated gem. Will be reading more!

One of the most enjoyable dungeon novels I have read and I am hoping this story will go for a long time. Dungeon and class breakdowns have really been entertaining and make sense. Even the thought process of how mc gets to her chosen dungeon weapon was cool. For now, some of the side characters could use a little more character development but that is a small nitpick on my end. Really like how most of side characters and even party members have goals. The party members are not just blindly following the mc like loyal dogs like most novels. Some of them even have obligations that force them to step away from party. It makes the world seem more fleshed out and makes me feel main character is going through many people to get to her own goals. Which I really like. The beginning is a little slow and I was kinda put off by the low-esteem mc and her family interactions. Felt like I had to push through it. After all, I'm not going into dungeon novels to learn about domestic issues involving self-esteem. However, once the story moves towards the training & dungeon life (which is the majority of this novel so far), it is really good.

A very interesting story, while slow, it’s extremely believable and interesting. The characters Feel alive and just how someone would react to getting Skills or Spells. Or fighting. So far a good read, and my favorite on the site!

The author has managed to make the LitRPG trope new and interesting. The world seems to be a version of Earth where Explorers and the Maze influenced how the planet would advance. Hera, the main character, has her faults. She lets others walk all over her, and seems to have no self confidence. But what she does have is determination. A lucky break and a unique beginning skill allows her to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a Maze explorer. What I most enjoy about the story is the time the Author invested in training and the quest to gain a class. I think these details that show us the how of this world are what keep me coming back. I can't wait to see how Hera begins to learn magic. I hope as an Explorer that means she can create her own spells, and not be confined to something the System offers. There are a few editing and grammar problems, but 99.99 percent of the book reads smoothly.

I must say, this book is one of the best works of its kind I have ever encountered. Many that deal with mazes and dungeons don't do world history as well as this book, and this one also has characters with real personalities that show real growth and it makes me really anxious to read more and more about what might happen next. Congratulations and thanks for the good work!

This is an absolute amazing book that can be enjoyed more than once. Even with it still being a work in progress I've already reread it 6 times while waiting for new chapters. Sometimes you forget some details or they seem like background noise, but later they are really fundamental to details later and thus makes rereads still very enjoyable as you find such nuggets. Descriptions are delightful, bringing you along with Hera in her journey experiencing and seeing so many things. A fantastic book by a fantastic author.
