Flame of Ogres

A couple hours went by and it was getting dark. Iona didn't think it was a good idea to wander at night, so she stayed where she was listening to see if anyone was calling for her. Hearing nothing she began to cry, it drew unwanted attention.

"We have one here. Come on we have to get to the drop off point now!" She picked up her head to get tackled and tied up and taken away. At this point she was wondering why it was happening again. Then again Jurgen did say someone would take her, she just didn't think it would be like this.

"Here! Our payment!" They had yelled as Iona was set on the ground. Something extremely large picked her up.

"It be a kit." It spoke.

"They resort to sending us their kit? Terrible they are. Undo her binding." One spoke deep. Taking the bag off her head she saw that these were ogres. Damon told her stories about how they were noble warriors. They were purple and blue and green, blotches of each covered them.

They both took a deep breath.

"Dark Elf?" The other questions.

"She isn't of them?" The first questions.

"I am a human, my brother was a dark elf though." She spoke up wondering how she would be handled. They don't seem to have a reason to hurt her, and she didn't want to give them one.

"She can't have dark elf brother! They do not live with human? Against their beliefs!" The first speaks again.

"Smell her. A dark elf. Her words were talk and she no given reason to doubt. Either way Tein will know." The one holding her shares.

"She have good head." The other nods in agreement.

"Is Tein a higher status than you?" Iona asks filling in gaps of her information.

"The Ogres are equal and we choose. Tein thinks something big happen and said we need many species to figure it out. We force humans for voice and no elvens join, no surprise. We threaten human to supply, but you come. You got good judgement from dark elf you speak on their behalf too. You help?" The one holding her asks.

"I don't know how much I can, I don't have a ton of knowledge on what's happening, but I would be willing to try." She smiles as they put her down. They then heads towards the camp and she follows from behind.

Ail was searching on the rooftops, Jurgen was tracking Iona, which was difficult, but not really. He found Damon's name written in the mud and began to follow where the trail led.

He followed out to where he saw an Ogre camp now watching as Iona walks in willingly.

"What in the… are you thinking? Deep breath, give her some faith." Jurgen seeing this in the distance allows Iona to go and waits to see what will happen. He too didn't deal with Ogres as long as they weren't terrorizing humans.

Most of the time those who were not humans stayed to themselves. It was both a blessing and curse for Jurgen as he didn't have to deal with any other crap than humans, but it also meant he had no idea how they were or what they were capable of other than rumors, which were more likely untrue than true.

As Iona entered the camp she was greeted by many more Ogres all around the same size as the ones that brought her in. They had the same coloring as well, she had no idea how she was gonna tell them apart. More than that she would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous about the encounter. Even Damon had said that not much was known about Ogres, that the only ones that had had interaction with the Ogres was Dark elven royalty.

"Child, you safe here. You voice of human, yes?" One of them asks.

"Mirck, she not elven. You really thought we could get an elven to come? She is human and here to take the place of the other human." The Ogre who picked her up explains.

"The other human uses lies to appease us, will you do as he did?" A new Ogre comes through.

"No, lies you can't fix, truths you can." Iona answers.

"This is the Ogre, Tein. They will lead the meeting." The ogre explains.

"You smell of Dark Elves, you are close with one? Can you speak for them as well?" Tein questions.

"I don't think that's a good idea. I don't even think it's a good idea for me to speak for humans. But if it helps I will speak for the humans alone." She bites her lip.

"Verywell, prepare human." They brush her off.

Within a tent they dress her. She is rather confused if they are men or women, but all who come to prepare her have a certain amount of dignity that makes her not question it. As she is put into a robe they place something on her head. They then show her to one of the bigger tents.

"We begin our ceremony as to welcome our Human voice. Is there something you wish to speak?" The one she thinks is Tein asks. Iona shakes her head.

"Verywell, do you know of kidnapping and destruction on Bilbok?" They begin and Iona nods and the fire sparks a blue flame.

"Do you assist in kidnappings or kidnappings among any other creatures?" They ask her another question, it was beginning to feel like an interrogation. Iona shakes her head. The flame rises blue.

"Do you know of anyone who assists with movement of bad products?" Iona paused. She knew Damon did, but he helped people, and anyways he was dead. She grew very sad at the realization and shook her head. The flame sparked bright green.
