Crash!

Boom!

The tail of the Thunder Python slammed on the ground and the nearby water splashed around with lightning making it extra dangerous.

The force of its tail was strong enough to break the tress like its twigs. This is not going to be good for me, fire is out of the question, and water is the same. The only thing that would work is earth and wind.

This is not going to be pretty. Though fire will not kill it, that tactic should be useful.

= "Water Ball! Fire Zone! Wind Spirits, spread your grace and touch the four corners of the world, Tempest! Union Spell! Haze World!" =

The summoned water ball from mana appeared and was instantly evaporated by the Fire Zone. The Tempest immediately gathered the steam I created in an area that extends for a hundred meters.

White steam obscured the world from the eyes of the Serpent, but my eyes was as clear as I see in a day. In front of me was the Serpent, it tried finding me through my scent, but the thick steam that had mixed with the swamp's own scent is messing with the serpent's sense of smell.

This should give me enough time to cast my spells.

= "Earth Spirits, create walls and enclosed my enemy, Earthen Path!" =

A path was created between me and the Serpent as two earth walls appeared on the side. The Serpent noticed this and tried to go the other way, it didn't know if I was there, it just made a stupid decision.

Usually, I find this rather interesting, but, right now I can't have that Serpent running away from me!

= "Earth Spirit blocked the path of my enemy, Earthen Wall!" = Bam! The Serpent hit the wall.

Only a single path remains and it was considerably far away from me, this is the perfect distance. It was the perfect distance and I have enough time, therefore, I called upon my strongest Tier-2 Wind Spell.

= "Oh ever-present wind, help this one and grant me your strength, show your fangs and let the world know your wrath, Crescent Wind!!" =

Powering it with my Platinum-grade mana was enough to make it considerably stronger. The Tier-2 spell flew out of my hands and the Serpent that attempted to escape towards my direction had its body split in half.

Its momentum carried is body towards me and the split that had been created became a safe path, but the blood and guts still occasionally reached me and my mouth. I tasted the blood out of curiosity and I am happy to inform that doing so is stupid.

*"Please."*

I was ready to leave, but then, the pleading voice entered my ears and then a white light appeared before me. The soul of a gold-grade rank-3 monster wished to become my soldier, and I have no reason to decline, so, I accepted it.

It entered my chest and then my mana core the blood shortly followed.

= "Xir, I didn't know you had a spell like that." =

= "I thought of it on the spot, it's an original combination of Quick Cast Spells. I didn't think it would work, but luckily it did." =

= "…is that so." =

Lethias kept her silence after that.

With this, the original three missions finally finished. Sigh, that took longer than I thought. A whole month and a half, that was long, but still, I have to deal with another mission. Become a Seeker.

Well, it won't start not unless I reach Polaspe City. I was thinking a lot of things when I heard my UIR go TING.

Mission Reward/s: You have completed the missions originally assigned to you. You will now be given the chance to choose your rewards, you can choose two amongst the list of treasures from the treasury. If you have any request, you can message sent a message to request for it.

I received a message saying congratulations and saying that my rewards can now be claimed. It seems like the Blue Crown is observing the future mission with care. Are they letting me choose to make sure I succeed or to increase that chance?

Either, it doesn't really matter. The rewards are what matters most. First, there are 1453 treasures to choose from. These are Artifacts that have a Tier up to 4. An artefact's strength is measured the same way Martial Arts and Spells does, by tier.

Tier-4 Artifact equates to a Diamond Core mana core. They are quite generous if I do say so myself. But in the end, I only ended up choosing one Artifact called Dragon Vessel, it was a Tier-4 life-saving Artifact.

As for my second reward, I chose the assistance of a Tier-7 Light Mage to heal my limbs. It took them two days to respond and thankfully it was a yes.

It says that it would be best to wait three days to where I currently am, so, I did. Eating the meat of the Serpent, I waited and waited. And three days after, three men in blue clothes and a fix mask appeared before me.

When they appeared, they were silent. And the one standing in the middle of the group approached me and asked me a single question.

= "Do you wish to be healed?" =

= "Yes." =

She gave me a single question and she answered in a simple manner. It was not that hard. And then, a golden light appeared around her as she chanted the incantation.

Regrowing a limb through magic is not so grandiose, it simply grew back, starting from the bones then to the tissues then veins and arteries until every little thing completes my missing limbs.

It itched a little, but nothing more than that. My limbs regrew and I tried moving mana through the veins and I found nothing wrong with it.

= "This is good enough, thank you." =

After a long time, my prowess finally returned to its full potential. My spell casting will faster, and my mana flow is going to be the same.

As I was testing my limbs, the people in blue disappeared without me noticing them leaving. It was weird and frightening, but I can't complain.

They were from Blue Crown and I can't say I know anything about them other than what others can see in the surface.

It was at this time that the people who will join me in the Seeker Mission was announced.

It was obvious who will join me.

Van and Viryon.

The other is considered the strongest in the Mage groups while the other in the Martial group, it was fairly easy to see.

After regaining both limbs, and finding out who will join me in the mission I head out for the city of Polaspe.
