Blood Is Thicker Than Water

Diya's POV

I blinked ones, twice, and thrice. I couldn't really believe what I heard. Is he the same man who refused to apologise for his mistake during our first encounter? The same man who carried the amount of ego that exceeded the quantity of salt in the ocean? The same guy who wanted to take revenge from me for slapping him?

People may think that I'm overreacting but I'm not. Only, if they had worked with him, they would have guessed by now that he wasn't the guy who would apologise! No matter what! He is that stuck up.

Then what changed now?

All the memories of our encounter rushed into my mind like a tornado creating a huge mess in my already chaotic thoughts. I squinted my eyes at him, giving him an accusing look which he returned with a shrug. However, I saw honesty and sincerity in his eyes while he apologised.

How could one be so good at faking!
