She blurted out: "Ah Si, I am sorry.." Ah Si looked at her, his eyes mirroring hers anqd he felt a vein pop on his forehead. He felt tons of emotions surfacing in him but he didn't let any of them win over him.
He knew her reluctancy and her view on him but he didn't dare tell her. With a blank face, he pressed the button on the office phone and a deep familiar voice rang out.
"Sir. You need anything?" Lu Jung asked.
"Lu Jung, drop Zhe home, please." When Aizhe heard this sentence, she broke out of her reverie and she stood up immediately. She looked down the whole time as if the whole world was on top of her shoulders.
She never felt this much sorrow in her life. She wanted to say something but it felt like a cat bit her tongue. She was speechless.
Even still, she mustered some courage and looked up. She saw his blank look and his deep set of onze eyes that reflected many emotions. Her breath hastened as she said: "Ah Si, you are a nice friend to me, remember that. No matter what, I will always be with you. You will find a better and beautiful girl than me.."
Unknown to her, those words stabbed him even more. He looked up with a frown on his face and stood up glowering at her.
He reached her immediately and Aizhe took a step backwards, feeling intimidated by his fiery gaze.
Her shoulders tensed when he was just a breath away from her. He was so close that she felt her breath became uneven and his scent was intoxicating to her.
She blinked rapidly as she unknowingly stepped back but had soon found herself trapped by the huge glass windows.
Her hands shivered and she felt a familiar electricity running throughout her whole body. Her stomach churned and dozens of butterflies started to dance.
Her eyes wandered around but it never stopped at his. She was close to panicking but when his hands held her tiny frame waist, she calmed down.
His candula and wood scent was calming to ones heart. She unknowingly rested her head on his warm embrace and she fell into a calming trance.
Longing and surprise filled Ah Si's eyes. He patted her brown locks and felt her smell which was soothing. It was somehow calming and relaxing. His one hand was on her waist while his other hand was continuously patting her hair, like he was comforting her.
When Aizhe opened her closed and resting eyes, she had come back to her senses. However, instead of turning around, she looked up and smiled weakly at him. Her eyes dazzled and she realized that the emotions and happiness she felt with him was not that of friends but something else.
Ah Si bent down to her height and he was now incredibly close to her. She stared at him with a glistening eyes and an alternating mind.
Ah Si chuckled with his deep and dark tone. He brought his lip closer to her ears and whispered. "My dear, you really thought this was over? We have only started now.."
Hearing his sentence, Aizhe's smiling face froze and she shivered at how cold yet enticing his tone was.
She usually didn't get scared by any one but she was feeling shivers go down her spine right now.
Was he trying to imply that he will court her? Was he?
She never in a million years would have thought that he had this side of him. I mean yeah, she had seen his behaviors that day in the banquet too but she never thought deeply on to it
