Underground Gambling

Third Pov:

"You're childish ZiNuo, learn to speak when it's important." YuHan drinks the last spoonful of porridge.

"YuHan, you should learn to enjoy life. You're so stubborn and boring sometimes. What do you even like or enjoy during your free time?" ZiNuo asked as he handed YuHan a napkin.

"Books and tea."

"You are kidding me, right? From the moment I laid eyes on you, I thought you were a book nerd, but it was always a joke in my head. Well, I guess not. You sure you only like those two things?" YuHan nodded in response. "I should bring you to the places I have heard of and expand your interests."

"Give me some hot water." ZiNuo quickly poured YuHan a cup of water and handed it to him.

"Are you interested in the underground gambling scene? I heard it's bizarre. Maybe we should go some time."

YuHan holds his urge to spit out the water in his mouth. He swallows, "Yin ZiNuo, what type of man do you take me as?"

"You were interested in getting into my sect for some reason, so I thought you would be interested in the underground scene. Maybe the way I worded it makes it a bit bland for your taste. They don't gamble money there. I heard from one of the Yin sect members that the people gamble with something called BuSheng."

"Do you know anything about it?"

"I only know that the item is called BuSheng, but I do not know anything else about it."

"Why am I answering your questions? You seemed uninterested in it at first, so we might as well go to the Ping sect instead."

"Where is this underground place we are talking about?"

"It is where I am standing right now," ZiNuo said as he stood up.

"The capital?"

"Well, duh," ZiNuo laughed.

"How has the Teng sect not realized this ongoing thing?"

"Maybe they run the place, just a guess."

"Maybe investigating the place first before we leave the capital is a good idea."

"Maybe a few days after when you fully recover, we can ask around to find a way to get in." YuHan nodded, handing his cup to ZiNuo. ZiNuo placed it back where it originally was. "Now it's time for you to rest again." YuHan laid down, and ZiNuo tucked him up in bed. ZiNuo rests his head down beside YuHan to sleep.

After a few days of rest and recovery, YuHan can walk properly and use his sword. "Have you figured out if you can use magic?"

"I can use magic, but it seems like I have very little mana to work with."

"Well, I guess I will be the one using magic mainly and doing all the work. Can I get a thank you at least before we head out?" ZiNuo jokes.

"You got me involved."

"Well, you insisted, Bai gongzi, so it's your fault."

"But you sparked an interest in me."

"Yeah...Yeah, it's my fault, not yours. Sorry for being the most interesting person you have ever met."

"I find books more interesting."

"I can't be more boring than books," ZiNuo rolled his eyes.

"I got everything we need for the trip."

"I have no idea how long we are going to be there, so make sure to bring some money."

"As I said, I got everything we need for the trip."

"Time to head off," ZiNuo ran out of the hotel entrance.

"I can't believe I will be stuck with him for the majority of my time," YuHan thought in his head.

YuHan followed ZiNuo to a dark alleyway. "WuQi, are you here?" ZiNuo shouted.

"I'm here," a young boy jumped out from behind the crates. He's wearing blue-colored clothes with gold-colored coloring. His jet black hair was tied up.

"ZiNuo, you didn't tell me we were going to bring an extra person."

"Uh oh, sorry about that." ZiNuo smiled awkwardly, touching his neck. "WuQi, he would be the one who will guide us to the undergrounds."

"Isn't that the kid from the clinic? Are you sure about this?" YuHan questioned.

"I may look young, but I'm 25. I am older than both of you. So don't be so quick to judge what I'm capable of." He put a toothpick near his mouth, "Any questions before I explain the rules of the underground?"

"No questions sir," ZiNuo responded.

"Same here," YuHan spoke.

"When we get to the underground, do not interact with anyone. Do not go buying things from the shops there. Also, don't tick anyone off because we do not know who we might tick off. Also, don't casually use magic because the alarms will go off, and you're going to be stuck in their unsanitary prison. I have been there once, and I never want to go back. Most importantly, don't touch the item called BuSheng."

"What is BuSheng?" YuHan asked.

"It's a gem that contains mana. It goes from white to blue, and the darker the blue is at the bottom of the gem, the more mana it has. It's called BuSheng for a reason. It's a gem that increases a user's mana quickly. Do not touch it at all costs. After one snap, the magic within it will come out and go into your body. The underground is a black market, and BuSheng is the drug. After one usage of BuSheng, you will have to continue to use it to stay at the same level of cultivation."

"What did you get us into, ZiNuo?"

"What did you get me into, Bai Gongzi?" ZiNuo stared into YuHan's eyes.

"Can you two stop arguing? We need to get past these crates then there's a portal we enter." The two continued to argue, but mainly ZiNuo was doing all the talking. "Is anyone going to help me move the crates? Or do you two want words to spill out of your mouth?"

"I'm going to help Wu gongzi. Go on with your rant, ZiNuo." YuHan walked closer to WuQi.

"You get here and admit your mistake!" ZiNuo shouted.
