Come to me child...

Nothing

That's all that was seen from the top of the stairs. The walls of the home, upper floors, dead bodies of random people and guards... everything was gone.

Jason looked around with wide eyes as he only saw dust, ash, pieces of what remained of the house scattered across the ground and patches of blue fire on top. In the distance a giant meteor seemingly almost a hundred meters tall which sat alone. Shockingly enough there is no impact crater. Something seemed to stop the meteors impact only centimeters from the ground. Yet everything around it turned dust or was pushed thousands of meters away. Any semblance of the previously established neighborhood was destroyed, leaving only a flat ground of topsoil burned by blue flames in some areas.

Jason began to crawl against the ground no longer having the support of the stairs to lighten the weight of his body. Wincing silently he wiped away any tears on his cheek as his determination took hold. "I can't give up yet, I need to find help for Mina!" He shouted within his mind.

Jason slowly crawled in a single direction, towards the meteor while looking around. The brown soil was burned by the flames enough to turn it to white ash which was gently blown away seconds later by the constant breeze. It should have been a cold night but with the descent of the meteor the surrounding area was warm like a summer evening.

"Come to me child..."

Jason opened both of his eyes and looked around trying to find the speaker. His hands trembled as he continued to crawl forward. "Hey! Whoever you are! Please help my sister! She is hurt really bad!!" Jason shouted to his surrounding but earned no response. He continued to call out while crawling against the ground. A few tears came out of his eyes as he thought of his parents again, he wanted to protect his sister but nobody was around to help.

Jason unknowingly reached the meteor, as it say just centimeters off of the ground he found it odd that it never touched the earth. It was like something was keeping it just barely off of the ground. Breathing silently Jason slowly pushed off of his hands touching the meteor as he attempted to stand. Unknowingly while he did this small streaks of lightning entered his fingers. Jason eventually stood up enough to lean his back against the meteor as he turned his head to look into the distance.

He thought that he would be able to see something that could help his situation improve but he was soon disappointed. He could find nothing in his immediate vicinity so he started to walk around the meteor. As this happened more tiny streaks lightning seeped into his fingers.

Jason's hand felt a little numb so as he looked at it to check he was shocked. His hand was covered in tiny streaks of lightning that streaked across his arms into his skin. A crack was heard as Jason looked up at the sky to catch enormous bolts of blue lightning streak down from the sky but as they came in contact with the meteor they mysteriously disappeared inside of it as tiny bolts cracked out from where Jason has his hand previously.

"What is going on..." Jason looked at his arm wondering what was going on, other than a light numbing sensation" He soon felt the wound on his head close slowly as he wiped the blood away from his eye. Now able to open both eyes he watched as his body which now was covered in tiny streaks of lightning.

"Child, you aren't the best choice but you are my only hope... please accept my power..."

"What do you mean?" Jason shouted out as he continued limping around the meteor, he felt his strength return to him and even felt a little stronger than before. His shout got no response so for a few minutes he slowly limped around the edge of the meteor before he leaned back against it as he began to feel his eyes droop.

"To inherit my complete power you need to sleep child... trust that you will be fine when you awaken..." the mysterious but calming voice resounded within his mind. "I will not be able to speak with you for some time after this , but I will return when you need me... protect yourself well until then... I will teach you how to control your new powers when the time calls for it..." the gentle voice went silent as Jason struggled to stay awake.

"Mina..."

Jason slowly dropped to his knees no longer feeling the pain from his leg. His eyes slowly shut as he fell down on the warm soil, tiny streaks of lightning merging with his muscles, bones, and blood.

While this was happening just above where Jason had collapsed millions of bolts of lightning slowly formed the figure of a teenage girl that could only be described as heavenly. With her azure blue hair and white dress that covered her body, she floated above the tiny boy. She opened her eyes revealing blue pupils that seemed to be created from lightning itself. She slowly held out her palm above Jason's body as she floated next to him. A sphere of lightning quickly formed within seconds out of pure lightning. It seemed calm in her hands but the space surrounding it seemed to tremble at the amount of power stored within the small sphere.

"I hope my judgement is right this time... I no longer have no chances left..." the female sighed softly as she focused her gaze upon Jason's body. If he was conscious he would be able to tell her voice was the same one he had head a few times in his head already. Her hand slowly flipping over as the sphere of lightning descended into the unconscious youth's back. "I place my faith in you child, do not disappoint me..." The female smiled slightly before disappearing in a stream of lightning that vanished into Jason's head.

A few minutes earlier...

Hundreds of miles away from everything that was happening, a small convoy of black trucks raced across the highway towards the crash site. A man with spikey red hair and black glasses could be seen on the phone in the first vehicle of the convoy. "Zeke you need to get the civilians evacuated and secure that meteor! I don't need to tell you what will happen if you take too long doing this..." an angry man's voice was heard over the phone. In response to this a chuckle was heard within the silent vehicle before a calm response was given. "Don't worry general, my men have the situation under con-"

The call seemed to cut out as multiple streaks of lightning cut across the sky. Drivers on the highway seemed to lost control as they began to crash into each other. The truck jerked as the digital dials in the vehicle flashed before turning off. The driver quickly stopped the vehicle as the others in the convoy stopped while dodging uncontrollable vehicles that hit each other. "Sir! I don't know why but the vehicle stopped working, it will take a some time to get it going again!" The driver hurriedly said as the passenger door opened slowly. The man named Zeke stepped out of the vehicle while lighting a cigarette. He looked in the direction of where he was heading, a half destroyed city in the distance and on the other side a giant meteor which seemed to be channeling an oddly large stream of lightning.

"Interesting..." he said as he blew smoke from his mouth while looking over the door of the vehicle. "This might just change everything..."
