A tired groan was heard within a dark apartment bedroom. The morning sunrise slowly a piece giving light to the interior through the slightly parted curtains. A figure can be seen moving around under the blanket before sitting up as the blanket is allowed to fall onto the bed. A yawn with a simple arm stretch is enough for the person to stand up seemingly awake.

As they looked around rubbing their eye they pick up a cellphone from the bedside nightstand. As they unlock it and look through their messages they stop and slowly look up at the ceiling.

"It's been 8 years now hasn't it..."

Naturally this person was Jason. The 8 year kid now at the double digit age of 16.

Jason looked through schedule and remembered it was a Sunday. "I can actually go visit everyone this time..." a sad look appeared on his face as he thought the past 8 years. He walked to his closet searching though the clothes until finished his black suit. As he laid the suit on the bed, he looked at his hand for a while before focusing back on his previous task. "Still no change... was that night really just a dream...."

As he shook his head he cleared his conflicting thoughts before finally getting ready. After lengthy shower before getting dressed, he looked himself in the mirror checking his outfit to make sure it is being worn correctly. As he put on the tie and combed his hair he looked at his phone once again.

"Almost 7:30... I need to get going" he said as he chuckled to himself, "Mina will throw a fit if I am late to visit her..."

Releasing a tired Jason walked out of his bathroom and into the kitchen. "A simple piece of toast goes a long way..." smiling to himself he made a single slice of toast before walking into his living room and turning on the tv to the news channel.

The company logo flashed across the screen before sitting at the bottom corner while music shortly played then ended, Jason sat on the sofa and checked the time again. "Five minutes is all the time I have..." he pouted slightly as he slid the piece of toast into his mouth.

"Good morning everyone, today marks the 8th year anniversary for the Heaven's Fall event. It has been some time since the meteors fell onto the planet destroying multiple cities around the world. To this day we do not understand how it is possible but these meteors gave select people supernatural powers. As of now we have found few people who have gained supernatural powers due to the Heaven's fall event. Out of the seven meteors which had fallen into the planet a total of three power wielder around the world have been found while other four have remained in hiding. One wielded is in the custody of the American government, another deceased due to unknown reasons a few years ago and a third currently on the run, this particular person was last scene in Connecticut yet has not been spotted in the past year.

The American government still holds out the offer to these hidden power users. The offer states that if a power user were to inform the authorities of their powers, the government would offer them millions of dollars in cooperation for helping do research into the meteors that fell 8 years ago. Their freedom would not be limited in any way and if there were to be a rebel power user they were to work in cooperation with the government to capture and contain these individ-"

Jason got up as he dusted off his suit jacket and wiped his lips with the back of his hand.

"What a joke..." he softly said as he picked up his house keys and grabbed a bottle of water out of his refrigerator before walking out his front door.

"Fairly warm today..." a comment could be heard as the door shuts on the once again silent apartment, rays of sunlight shine through the slightly parted curtains around the apartment creating a warm feeling to the otherwise lonely living space.

After greeting a few people in his apartment, Jason walked through the streets at a leisurely pace before turning into a nicely decorated store. Sipping the last bit of water in the bottle, Jason tosses it away in a roadside garbage can before stepping before the front door. Flowers sit in pots at the entrance with wide widows on either side of the doorway that allow for a vast amount of sunlight to shine on the hundred of different flowers on display.

A bell sounded as Jason entered the shop.

"Ms. Rutherford are you in?" He asked as he walked up to the counter before waiting patiently. A few slow steps are heard as an short old woman was spotted walking out of a doorway behind the counter before stopping in front of the register. "Same as always Jason?" She asked with a smile as she held out her gently shaking hand before patting the side of Jason's arm.

"Yes Ms. Rutherford, I'll pay in cash this time... Jason responded calmly as he looked into the woman's eyes before taking her hand and slowly placing it on top of the counter, "just a single bouquet of roses for me".

With a slow nod Ms. Rutherford motioned to the opposite end of the counter, there sat a neatly put together bouquet of roses. "Thank you for your hard work once again Ms. Rutherford.." Jason's gaze softened as his eyes turned to the roses before transitioning them back. He chuckled softly as he took out a 100 dollar bill from his pocket, as he picked up the flowers he started walking to the door while waving his free hand over his head. "Please keep the change"

As a bell was heard once again along with the passing of a car with a few birds singing in the distance, Ms. Rutherford frowned before taking the money into her hand. "You've always let me keep the change Jason... at least let me give you more flowers for this..."
