She was so scared. scared of the noises. Scared of the people. So scared she lashed out at one that got to close.
Hisssssss!
That made them mad. They didn't like her defending herself. They hated her. They wanted to hurt her.
They threw her in a cage. They shot at her. She was shaking. She was terrified.
Ew! What's the terrible smell?
The sounds stopped and so did the shooting. What's going on? She looked through the bars of her cage to see a huge monster cut down on of them.
The other shot it. Oh no! Run! It ran and so did the surviving one. She was left, forgotten, in the cage.
She watched as the boy came and helped the creature. She watch as the shooter came back. She watch as the shooter left. Then the creature and the boy left.
She was alone. She watched the sky turn from blue to red, then watched as the boy walked through the clearing. Then the sky was dark. She could see though. She saw the trees wave in the wind. She saw the unloving body on the ground.
She sat through the night starring at the tree line where the creature disappeared.
Please help! Save me!
Soon the sun started to rise. With it came a shape coming out of the tree line. It was the creature.
It went up to the motionless body and started to devour it. She was terrified but it was also the only thing that could get her out.
Meow! Meow!
It lifted its head in her direction, and then started moving towards her. Terrified she backed as far away as possible. She wanted out but that didn't stop her from fearing it.
It reached its hands down towards her and lifted her body up. It placed her down outside the cage. She stood frozen. That was the most gentle touch she every felt. No one has every treated her so carefully as if she was a fragile being that could break at any second with one misstep.
The creature turned around after one last glance at her and walked away. She followed him. She'll care for him as he cared for her. Even though they had barely met each other, they cared.
She followed him through the woods until they reached a cave. She followed him inside and watched as he sat on the log.
Now is her chance to show affection. She started to rub against his hard, bloody legs. She could feel the blood on her white coat of fur.
After a while she decided to jump in its lap. It started to stroke her gently. Ah! It felt good.
"Purrrrrrrr"
She started purring as it scratched her. He petted her and played with her all day till he heard the sounds of footsteps and the faint sound of voices from outside. Someone had arrived and the creature wasn't worried about her anymore.
