I couldn't get out of school till the normal time, so I didn't get back to the path till around the same time as yesterday. Which didn't leave them with much time to talk.
I couldn't get rid of Jessie. Jessie always followed me around, but I don't mind it. She was very talkative, but only with me.
So I decided to bring her along when I went to visit the creature. She would probably love the cave, though I wasn't to sure how she'd react to the creature. I have a feeling she would be just as interested in it as I am.
Wait. I forgot.
It said that I was the only one that heard it. Could she hear him? Maybe I could just translate for her.
We walked down the path together till we reached the trail that led to the clearing. After that we walked through the clearing then we made our way towards the side of the clearing where the creature's cave is.
I had told Jessie that I was showing her a wonderful thing I found, and I really was showing her something wonderful. Hopefully she'll think it's wonderful as well.
As we reached the cave, I heard her gasp in surprise when she caught sight of the arrangement outside.
"It's beautiful," she said.
"Wait till you hear what made it," I responded.
She twisted her head like a confused puppy at that statement. She's wondering what it is. She definitely is. And she looked so cute with her innocent, confused face.
Wait. No no no no. No. I did not just think that. I didn't mean it like I like her... I just meant it as she just looks cute like that, that's it.
I led Jessie through the entrance of the cave. It was dark inside and you could barely see anything. Perfect. Let's see if she can hear him first.
"Hey, stay there, will ya? Just for a minute." I said to it. It really needs a name.
"Ok, Alex." It replied.
"Who are you talking to?" Jessie asked.
Damn it. She couldn't hear him. Now it's going to be harder to explain.
"Jessie. Don't be scared, please. It won't hurt you."
"What won't hurt me?" She asked, her body visibly shaking.
"You can step out now."
Jessie gasped in terror when she caught sight of it. But she didn't scream, and she didn't run away. That might be a good sign.
"Jessie this is..." It doesn't have a name yet. I'll just make up one real quick then,"...Sukino."
"Sukino," I said, pointing at it. "This is my friend Jessie."
"Can she hear me?" Hope filled Sukino's eyes.
"Jessie did you hear Sukino?" I asked Jessie.
"No?" Jessie tilted her head again. Ah it was so cute, seeing her face make that expression, the small amount of light reflecting off her face making— No! Stop! That ain't allowed here brain! Shut up! Stop starring at her, eyes!
I looked sadly back at Sukino. Poor Sukino, it can only talk to me. And poor Jessie, she couldn't hear it's beautiful voice.
"Jessie, I wanted you to meet Sukino. It may look terrifying but it's actually really interesting."
"Oh? Will you tell me what it says then?"
"Of course!"
Through the rest of the night they talked and talked. Jessie and Alex had a great time. And Jessie loves Sukino, and Alex— what-what am I thinking?!
