"My prince, everything has been prepared" an ordinary looking man entered the crown prince' study to inform him.
"Hmp, make sure we will not fail this time" the crown prince didn't want to see a second failure.
"We planned according to his weakness that was gathered by our intelligence. There should be no mistake this time. An actual witness had seen the event" the man was confident.
"Good, then that thorn will now vanish from this world" the crown prince didn't doubt his assistant's statement. If not for the unknown factor the last time, he knew they would succeed in their plan. It's just that, up until now, they still hadn't discovered who upended their plan. But it doesn't matter, for the plan this time should be successful. No it must succeed.
"But won't his highness get angry if he discovered about this plan?" the crown prince glared at his assistant. The assistant realized that he has crossed the line.
"Do you think the first plan would even happen without the knowledge of my father? He has already given his silent consent to decimate the man" the crown prince was irritated. He was reminded of his current predicament. Although his royal father allowed his plans but that doesn't mean that he allows failure. The first one already shed away a big chunk of his father's trust, if he can't still do it properly this time, then he might as well hide from the face of the earth.
"This servant is impertinent, hoping for prince to grant punishment" the assistant knew he had sprinkled salt on the crown prince' wound.
"No need for this nonsense. Execute the plan" the crown prince was tired of the same old antics and dismissed his assistant.
"Thanking the prince's grace. This one will excuse himself" the assistant knew what he should prioritize and left the prince sight.
"That was really good. I thought we were going to be tricked again by those paid food critics" Linn often read food reviews before going to a restaurant and so it can't be help if sometimes she encounters fake ones. She would only found out once she went to the place.
"Well, nothing beats tasting the food yourself" Yue was not a fan of popularized restaurants because they usually focus more on improving the ambience and presentation of food rather than the taste to appeal to the general masses.
"I'm definitely going back to order the rest of the menu" Linn started drooling and Yue just nodded in agreement. She liked the food as well, maybe by that time, she can bring along Yyan.
"I want to wash down the food with some milk tea" Yue can imagine the deliciousness of the thick dark chocolate milk tea with slightly bitter coffee jellies and cheesecake smudged in the walls of the cup.
"I know a good place" upon hearing, Linn immediately thought of a place.
"You're just like a food directory. You know every food and beverage place in town" it was one thing that Yue admire about Linn. She didn't have to search for a restaurant herself as long she's with her.
"Ah! That's a good idea. Do you think people would like if they can go to a website and they can browse readily available restaurants and their menus then place their orders online. I can even include my personal recommendations if they can't decide what good food to eat" Linn got excited by the potential prospect. Although delivery services are already common in this era, but only a small population of restaurants are utilizing online services.
"Then my little CEO, do you think it is also good if you could contract some motorcycle drivers to pick up the orders and deliver them. Most of the restaurants only have limited delivery personnel, a third party delivery would be helpful if there are lots of orders online. It could also work for 24hrs, that way those people who wanted some midnight snacks but can't cook and can't go out in the middle of the night can be covered" Yue also made a suggestion when she realized the potential of online delivery.
"Yeah, I can finally eat the food that I'm craving for in uncommon hours, anywhere!" the two of them talked further about their future prospects and unknowingly arrived at the front of the milk tea shop.
"I'll leave to you the ordering, I'll just go to the restroom" Yue was confident that Linn knew her preference.
"Okay"
Yue saw that the restroom inside the milk tea shop was out of order. The shop was located inside C Mall so she detoured in the one inside the establishment. But before Yue can even reach the place, someone placed a handkerchief with chloroform on her nose. Being aware of what's happening, she held her breath and tried to apply some self defense moves she recently learned but the kidnapper was a professional so everything she attempted was useless.
Knowing she can't do anything, Yue stopped resisting and conserve her energy for what's coming next. She supposed her kidnapper had other helpers. She had a female secret guard that can follow her to private place such as restrooms but she can't see her taking action now. She must have been intercepted or worse, killed by these people. She just hoped that her other guards would notice a bit of commotion she made.
On the other hand, Linn kept calling Yue but she can't reach her phone. She knew something bad must have happened if Yue is still not coming back. Linn's hyperactive imagination worked and she connected Yue's disappearance to kidnapping.
Instead of contacting the police, Linn called Kiro. She doesn't have Yyan's number so she thought she could reach Yue's brother through her boss.
"My lovely assistant called me in her rest day. Could it be that you wanted to go on a date with me? Did you finally realized that I'm handsome and the best boyfriend material?" Kiro goes on and on the moment he answered Linn's call.
"I don't have time to joke with you. I need the phone number of Yue's brother"
Lin wanted to punch Kiro. The man was really hard to talk to. Don't know how she managed to endure all these years.
"No! Why does everyone prefer going out with Yyan than me? I will not allow it"
Kiro continued to whine.
"Idiot boss, Yue has disappeared. I'm not sure with the exact details but she didn't go back after more than 30 minutes and I can't reach her phone. If you don't want to give her brother's number I don't mind but you have to inform him of what happened" Linn cruelly cut Kiro's monologue for she worries greatly about the current predicament.
"Why didn't you say so earlier, I'll forward your call to his right away" Kiro had gotten serious and immediately dialed Yyan's number.
"I don't have time for you" Yyan surprisingly answered the call in one ring but uttered a cold sentence.
"I know Yue is missing, Linn wanted to tell you, she was on the other line" Kiro knew that Yyan was probably working on the case but he still informed him of Linn.
"Connect me" Yue informed him of going out with her friend. Yyan knew how much Yue cares about this friend of hers so he decided to talk to her despite the urgent situation.
"Hello, I'm with Yue but she had gone missing for almost half an hour now. I am worried she might have been kidnapped" Linn decided to be straightforward about it. She didn't know that Yue had several hidden guards that had already informed Yyan of the situation 15 minutes earlier than her.
"Thank you for informing me. We have already been tracking her location. Please don't tell anyone about this incident. I'll update you once we found Yue" Yyan seemed calm while talking to Linn but only he knew how much emotional turmoil he is going through.
"I won't. I just hope she is safe" Linn knew that even if she reported this to the police, they wouldn't take the case since Yue was only missing for less than 24hrs.
Linn wouldn't think much if Yue is an ordinary lady, but her friend's identity is special. She also that knew Yue wouldn't be irresponsible as to leave her without even informing her.
The line was cut off and Linn was back on talking to Kiro.
"Yyan would definitely find Yue. If he can't even do that then he should just commit suicide" Kiro knew that Yyan was at least capable of tracking Yue unless the higher power is involved, things would be a little problematic.
"Silly, should you be saying that to your friend" her boss' wordings are really unusual, but that at least settled her emotions.
"Who's friend with that ice block. Anyway, you should go home for now and not worry much about the situation" Kiro advised Linn. The woman can't help with just worrying and she might even tire herself for nothing.
"I will" Linn felt useless with this kind of situation, but she knew that Kiro was right. A commoner like her doesn't have the right to mess with this kind of situation. She might even make things worse.
"Work on the deadlines I just sent to your email" Kiro knew it's better to give her some work to distract her from thinking such useless things.
"Tsk, I know, you wouldn't even give me time to breathe" Linn was grateful for Kiro's unusual form of consideration.
"You know that's not how I'll take your breath away" Linn blushed when she heard that. Good thing they were only speaking through the phone else she wouldn't know where to hide her face.
"Hooligan!" Linn dropped the call without waiting for Kiro to respond.
