Chapter 6 Surviving Together

Two years later still living in the big snowy city of Windhelm. The girls got used to the racist Nords and the weekly beatings. Sabella got a job at the local Inn as a waitress and Anri got a job at the general store. The girls made enough money to buy food from the market. Sabella left the inn walking down a snowy path when three drunk Nords stopped her. "Hey dark skin, what are you doing here all alone?" One of the drunkards say as he hiccuped. "I'm walking home." Sabella spoke calmly as she tried to pass by him. The man grabs her arm and pulls her back into the middle of the group. "How about you come home with me?" He flirts as he leans in. "I'd rather not." Sabella replies pushing him away before the other two men grabbed her arms shoving her down onto her knees. "Fine, I'll just have you here." He says as he starts to unbuckle his pants. Then Anri walks around the corner seeing her sister in trouble. "Hey back off!" She yells causing the men to look back at her. Anri starts running towards them before smashing her fist against the man with his pants unbuckled. He falls to his knees, his hands clutching his stomach. "You bitc.." he winces in pain as the other men run away. Anri walks over to her sister and helps her up. "I told you, I'll protect you." She says holding onto Sabellas hand as they walk home together.

Once they get home, they went up to their room, Anri sat on the bed as Sabella placed something wrapped on the table. "What do you got there bell?" Anri asks curiously as she watched her sister unwrap an iron sword. "Wow, what's that for?" She continues before Sabella smiles at her happily. "Well remember when we were younger and we wanted to be adventurers?" Sabella asks before getting down on her knees and pulling a chest out from under their bed. "Well over the past two years, I've been buying things for an adventure." She continued saying before opening the chest showing all kinds of things. A few health potions, a map of Skyrim, a couple of backpacks, weapons and some armor pieces were all in the chest. "Really?" Anri questions surprised that her sister paid for all of these things. Sabella nods and holds up the sword to her sister. "Yes, we'll leave first thing in the morning." Sabella says as her sister takes the sword and admires it. "I can't wait to explore Skyrim." Anri says excitedly as her sister takes the sword back and places it in the chest. "We'll pack up tomorrow, but for now let's get some sleep." Sabella says before yawning lightly. "Ok you go ahead and get some sleep, I'll be back in a bit." Anri says as she stands up. "Where are you going?" Sabella asks worriedly. "I'm just going out to get bread." Anri replies before walking down the stairs and out of the building. Sabella sighed before laying down on the bed, closing her eyes.

Anri walks down the snowy path that was covered in footprints. She looks around looking for the drunk man that almost assaulted her sister. "It seems he already went home." She whispers to herself as she pulls a dagger from behind her back. Then she makes her way back home, putting the dagger into the chest. Then she lays beside her sister and falls asleep. The next morning Anri was still asleep and Sabella was packing up for their adventure. She looks over at Anri as she wonders where she got the dagger. Anri opened her eyes sleepily before sitting up on the bed. "Morning Bell." She says with a light yawn and a nice stretch. "Morning, I got our bags ready." Sabella replies handing her sister one of the bags. "The armor is laying on the table." She continues as she walks to the table and Anri follows her. On the table was four different sets of armor, two heavy and two light armor. Sabella put on the leather armor and lifted the hood over her head. Anri puts on the iron armor and was amazed that it fit her slender form. "How did you know they would fit?" Anri asks as she hooks the sheathed sword to her side. "The blacksmith custom made them for us." Sabella replies as she wraps a quiver strap around her chest and hooks a long bow to it. "You really prepared for this, didn't you?" Anri asks as they made their way down stairs and out of the building.
