Their day at the amusement park had been a lot of fun though it took Hazel's legs a day or two to recover from all of that walking. The next excursion they had planned was camping down at Zion National Park in St. George, which was a five-hour drive from Park City.

Will had wanted to fly but Hazel preferred to see all of the scenery they would pass from the ground. He couldn't argue with her logic.

Since he had to work she was in charge of buying all of the camping supplies. They already had marshmallow roasting sticks and hiking boots but lacked important items such as a tent. Two-person tents seemed too small—where would they put the luggage?—so she settled on a four-person tent and bought an air mattress as well.

Living in the mountains, Will already had supplies such as backpacks meant for hiking and reusable water bottles. They really only needed a tent and sleeping bags. He told her to be sure to get one wide enough for two people.
