Escaping a Madman (2)

She moved over to the driver's seat. Putting her car in neutral she imagined the car moving. It seemed to not work at first until she put her hands on the steering wheel. Once she had that connection the vehicle started to move. She breathed out, happy that they wouldn't be stuck out there but they were still at a disadvantage. Akaisha knew nothing of what that deranged man would do to them because of her actions. It was still better than doing just what he asked for. "No matter what he plans to do, I won't allow him to continue doing as he like. The world will see him for what he truly is."

She had gotten the car up to 55 miles per hour, when she seen it. A faint yellow glow in the distance. It was near where they had escaped from. The closer she got the more she could see it was a fire. Did that man actually start a fire in his lab to draw attention to himself? She was going to turn the car around to head away from the burgeoning commotion but it was too late. Fire copters were there on the scene. She could see in the distance blue and red lights approaching them fast. It was the police. Akaisha knew they needed to get off of the road and fast before they were stopped.

It didn't look as if they closed off the roads, so she worked her brain harder to speed through the area. They couldn't be stopped not here or now. Soon as she passed by the area, she started to see Professor Jay in the road. When she would get close enough it would vanish. Akaisha was hoping her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. No, this was a mind trick just not one that she fashioned. She was coming up to a fork in the road. The right lead you back to the city the long way around and the left lead you toa different country. Just as she turned down the left side of the road, she could see him. This time the figment didn't move. He stood there with his hands on his sides with a smile. She was getting closer to him. He still didn't disintegrate.

"Damn it why won't you move?"

She was just about to hit him but at the last minute swerved her car to avoid him. Akaisha didn't want to stay where they were so she continued driving. The road she was now on lead her back towards the city. She didn't want to go there but it was for the best. She would need to make sure that he would no longer be able to use her or anyone else for that matter. She resolved herself to turn herself in to the special task force. It wasn't as if she was a criminal. She helped those people, despite going out of hand. Her mind was running through actions she would need to take. She needed a new home and to make sure that she wasn't kept in seclusion to be tested on.

It was several hours later when she made it back to the city. The sun was just peeking over the horizon. Red Mist and Blue slept the entire time. When she made it back to her home, she had to do her best to hide Red. The early morning commuters were on their way out to their jobs. "Can you turn invisible?"

"I can except my tail."

"…? Weird but long as you walk near me and your tail looks as if it comes from my rear end it should be fine."

Red turned on it's cloaking mechanism. Sure enough, everything on it turned invisible except it's tail. She got out of the car first and opened the back-passenger door in a way to conceal her behind. Once Red was out of the car and Blue was following on the opposite side of her a few of her neighbors passed by. A couple of them looked at her strangely to see the tiger's tail flicking in a slow-moving pace. They looked from the tail to her face. She gave them a smile but they only gave her a grimace back. She spoke to red through her mind "You are an exceedingly special animal I don't think you would be left alone had you not camouflaged yourself as you did but it would be better if you learn to hide your tail. I'm getting strange looks."

"I can't. it's not that I don't want to, it's because he created me to not be able to. It was so he could always find me if I disappeared."

She looked down to her right where he was walking along side of her. It seemed as if Professor Jay learned from her antics. "I see. I'm sorry."
