Meeting the Sergeant

Red mist only looked at her not quite understanding what she meant. They Managed to make it into her apartment where it looked as if everything was normal. Blue seemed happy to be back home. Akaisha looked around the apartment. She had lived her for five years but now with this special creature it was for the best that she moved. Setting out food for blue, she then went to the fridge to get out a mixture of things for Red. Since he had DNA from several different animals, she made sure to give as much of a variety as possible.

Blue waited to eat her food until she saw that red was eating. While they both ate Akaisha started to browse for real estate. There weren't many residential dwellings anymore. She searched for something commercial or industrial. There were several places that seemed to be what she needed. Memorizing their areas, the went to take her shower so that she could turn herself in. as she passed by her dresser, she noticed a special task force card lying there. It had holographic lettering on it, Sergeant Acheki, and a phone number. Akaisha picked it up, turning it over to see if there was anything hidden on it. When it looked normal, she gave it a call.

"Sergeant Acheki here." He sounded as if he was distracted. "Hello?"

"I believe you are looking for me?"

"Well, if you think I am, it would be prudent to turn yourself in. How did you get this number?"

She could hear him shuffling his feet. "You left your card. I want to meet with you some place. Just you alone."

He tried to rack his brain to think of what she was talking about. "I don't remember leaving my card anywhere but if you want to meet discreetly that would be problematic. How do I know you aren't dangerous?"

"I can honestly say that I am extremely dangerous but that doesn't mean I would harm someone I never even met. Besides, I actually need help."

He chuckled at how candid she was, "Usually, a criminal wouldn't readily admit they are dangerous. Are you sure that I am looking for you?"

"If you're that curious why don't you just meet me at a diner on main street within the hour. You'll know me when you see me."

"How can you be …..." He heard the click in his ear before he could finish his sentence. He placed the receiver back on the line. "I'll know them when I see them, hmmm." He muttered to himself. This person sounded cryptic but if they had his number then it must be important. He grabbed his coat and headed towards the diner to meet his mysterious lady.

When she ended the call Akaisha took her shower and got dressed. There was still 30 minutes before the scheduled meet time. She thought about grabbing a fully charged crystal so, she could drive her car but that was a bit risky. Instead, she teleported herself to the back alley of the diner. No one was there when she arrived. The more she began to use her powers the more it felt that she should be doing something good with them.

She went inside the diner and took a seat at a booth. This diner had survived a lot of hardships and was considered the oldest historical site in the area. Officials came there to eat and relax. This was a well-known place. If things were to turn out horrible on either end, she would be able to make a commotion and leave. That was her plan. She had hoped this Sergeant Acheki would listen to her and understand where she was coming from and that he wouldn't try to arrest her and have them experiment on her.

Sergeant Acheki was nearly to the diner when he thought he saw a flash of light in an alleyway. He was a short distance away from it but when he was about to look down it something caught his attentions. He hadn't seen Akaisha walking out of the alleyway when he had turned back around. He took a gander down the alley to see that no one was there. He shrugged his shoulders, then went inside of the restaurant.

He looked around to see a few familiar faces and some not familiar faces. This was a diner he frequented quite regularly. He looked over at the booths to see someone he was indeed looking for, Akaisha Morningstar. He sauntered over to her table taking a seat. "So, you're the person that I am looking for and extremely dangerous. You certainly don't look like it. Sergeant Acheki." He held out his hand for her to shake. Akaisha looked at his outstretched hand and ignored it.
