Jeremy Would Would rock slightly from the pivoting wheels of the rolling hospital bed. The momentum would jerk him from side to side, sedated and strapped downed unable to move. His vision would blur and fad with each passing ceiling light that hung like big nets from above. Small flashing from the lights would flicker as a low hum would mute the audible sounds coming from the people around him. ~Was this some setup? Am I going to die? What was with that lady in asking me questions like that?~ these thoughts would scatter around Jeremy's head as light nausea would flood his stomach and his temple man it would ache in pain; He felt like pure and utter shit. Jeremy can not think of a time he has eaten something, one maybe two days? He had been upset That at this point, he hadn't the time to eat anything. Shit, what a way to kill a Friday; Jeremy wanted to grown, but he found that he couldn't move or even make a sound. His eyelids would even twitch funny thing he wounder ~I think I now know what a corps feel like.~
Jeremy's ears would pop as the sound became clear to him again. The gurney's wheels would squeal down the hallway from its wobbly wheel on an uneven surface. The men that moved him would stat to have a conversation with one another one of them would ask his coworker." I think this would be like the 7th person this week, do you know why do they need so many of them?"His coworker would replay." Man, that's way above my pay grade, so honestly, I don't care, and besides, it's better that you don't ask any questions you tend to live longer." Scoffing at what his coworker just said, he would turn to him and say, " you ask like the ascended would kill anyone who asks too many questions." Laughing again, he would look at his coworker who did not return his laugh."They do kill people who ask to many questions. Jeremy and the other coworker was in shock with this newfound piece of information. Then he continues with saying." I have been working here for four, and I've seen people come and go in ways like this fellow right here. Sometimes even worse than this guy right here. But I kept my head down; it seems like that the way to do it, do your job. No more then what they ask you unless you want to move up the ranks."
Silence would fall on both the men as they all move through the everlasting long hallway of them, but then the first guy would speak up again."You are ok with all of this, then?" A little frustrated with the question, the coworker would once again replay. " I am human, what do you think but in a life like this, you better be grateful that this is all that we do. I have a sister that needs the care they are giving her to live. I am not going to rock the boat on this at all. So do what I tell you to do, and don't fuck it up! Remember why you came to the ascended in the first place." The medical bed would stop moving. Jeremy noted as a door would open. The once quiet hallway till a room full of people. ~God I wish I could move.~ Jeremy would think as he would listen to the chatter of the people around him.
Nurse, please prepare the patient, You gentlemen can set him right there in front of the reader. One of the men's voices he had come to recognize was the one who started to ask questions. " what reader? I am sorry I am rather new here. I don't know what you are talking about." The foreign man had sighed then replyed." You're like the 17th one this month, but I digress, The reader is the oval looking rock that looks like it 's the size of a body. Its where we put a live body or dead witch ever comes first, and hologram there memorizes. Now that you know you do your damn job and leave." He almost growled at the guy with his last words. Jeremy felt his body moved rapidly to the right in a hurry. A few seconds later, the door would open and close again. Jeremy still unable to move, A shiver would run up his spine as cold hands would strip him down bare. Fingers on him cold as a cool sticky liquid would slowly cover his body As a mechanical hum would cover him. The last thing he heard was the clink of shutters closes above him; Then, after that, the silence took over again.
Alright then who do we have this time? The head doctor, Raymond, would pick up the open file on the table and start to read aloud the information on it." So we have Jeremy Wong, his changed named; His birth named Ho Lee Fuk, age 27 Rank Corporal." That's an intrusting name, Docter whats the story behind that one?" One of the nurses asked as she set the regulator to the holographic machine. "The story with this one is that it says was adopted, poor soul you already been through so much. artificial lungs, skin graft, caused by third-degree burns all over the body; This poor puppy A hard life this one had, and now we would see if he can survive this."
"Poor thing, funny name, though, But I do believe he is of Asian descent based on his birth name given to him. I also can't recall seeing or hearing about a family no matter how poor a family is abandoning their child unless they can't afford the second one? Right doctor?" asking as she would turn around to face him."Quite honestly, love your not fair off. Not many families can afford it if they have a second child. But That is not the case for this one. It said that his birth parents died at the battle of Chongqing in china he is one of the many orphans that the military has saved and gotten relocated that day. there one and only child, Poor thing." Nodding, he walks over to a set of dials; Flipping the one switch as the machine hum to life."Now little puppy, let me see what you have seen, and if it's any good, ill make sure that you won't die a painful one."
