"Doctor..um Doctor the receiving is kinda off." of the two nurses would say, "the people he goes by have no faces. And some of the ones that do have no expression" frowning he would reply " The ascended need to give me better equipment then this hand made piece of shit. But I have to admit that getting together random pieces of metal to replicate a high functioning hologram reader. and in just a few days to get ahold of survivors under there enemy's nose is quite impressive indeed." Lifting his hand, he would adjust the images to make it come out more clearly." Please don't worry, my dear people's faces are not necessary unless he would say their name. It's just like the last person, ok." looking at the nodding nurses. He would smile then turn back onto the screen.
~Back to the Jeremy still in his memory~
Jeremy would gasp as the ground under him would collapse. His gut felt like it went up to his throat as if he was on a rollercoaster. Blind grasping for something to stop himself from falling, he would grab and catch the end of the once tiled kitchen floor slicing between his pointer and middle finger from one sturdy end of the floor. Not feeling the pain that would have rippled down his arm, adrenaline would rip through Jeremy's body, making his body numb from the pain. He would lift himself from the gaping hole that threatens to swallow him whole. Heaving as he gasps for air as he would lay limp on the cracked floor. He was engulfed in smoke and blaring fire alarm that left a high pitch ring that would hurt his ears. The sprinkler system would turn on and began to spray water all over the hot oil causing it to catch fire.
He is coughing as he crawled away from one of the few small fires next to him towards the direction of the hallway. The blue safety flashing warning light would spin and glow from the entrance, acting as a guide for Jeremy to follow, trying to escape the kitchen. Feeling disoriented, he would look around him, noticing the wind from the outside more prominent, seeing small fires and baby ember's dancing on the crumbled interior wall. Slowly, as he inches towards the door, the gas stove near him explodes, causing the other four to follow suit.
The explosion would rock the floor under him as it would push him to the other side of the kitchen, the fire spread from the leftover oil that was in the pots that were cooking chicken just seconds before. Getting projected to the fire retardant plastic wall as fire would wrap around his left arm crawling up to the left side of his face, Heat would engulf him as he felt his skin melt together with the plastic, He smelled his skin and hair scorched that reminded him of disgusting burnt milk and hair scatter in the air. The plastic and chard clothing floated around him like PVC pipe dust filling the hot summer air.
This pain was worst than getting shot; the burn of a bullet ran over a thousandfold as his face melts, he watched his skin melt away like water falling off a surface. He screamed in horror and pain as he stumbled up in a jagged fashion, wobbling like a penguin still screaming as he feels part of his face start to drip down. A crack and a hiss from the steam that was building in the pipes. As the steam would release from the nearby pipes, the sprinkler systems above his head would break—sending lukewarm soothing water down onto his head, putting out his flames that were on his body. The shock of the hot and cold scared his body, causing him to seize up twitching on the floor.
The pain would erupt, his whole being shuddered as every move would hurt. His tears would escape his eyes as all the audible words he can say come out as only grunts and hisses from his now visible jawline as puss would pop, and boils would form from open wounds. Panting and gasping as he would throw up. Thankfully he landed on his side by chance. All he could feel was the water and the warm piss that left him.
~Back at the medical room~
"Doctor Briggs, his pulse has reached 180 BPM! at this rate, we are going to lose him, Doctor!" One of the nurses yelled so she could be herd, "He going into cardiac arrest! we must stop, or we would lose another one!" just then the head nurse would slap her subordinate as she yelled, " stupid child if that were a worry the good Docter would have turned off the machine himself!" covering up the spot she hit her on her face the lowly nurse would yell back. " He can't take anymore, or he will die. PTSD is putting his body back to where he thinks he's back there again!" The head nurse would only growl back in protest, " One more foolish outburst like that and ill have your guts served for the next offing to the god's, girly mind your place!" It has almost come out in a hiss as she would scold her.
A small smile would cross Raymond's face as he would look at the bickering women. "Now my dear lady's, fighting in my operation room is dreadfully forbidden and ill kill you both if you don't stop that needless yelling." clapping his hands as he would draw the attention from the whole room." Now earlier, I did say his prosthetic enhancements would be a good thing for us." He would point to the man, " Look his mechanical lungs are holding a steady beat to he can maintain oxygen and the metal spine like tendrils help keep his heart at a normal pace even if his BPM is high it will bring it back down on its own." looking across the room the Doctor could see the concern that was on there faces dissipate as he would turn back to the screen." Now no more interruptions his pain is rather....amazing that he even made it through and we have not even left the kitchen so something happened and I must find out why!" With that, the room fell silent as Jeremy's vital signs slowly reverted to normal. The head nurse glared at her subordinate and returned to her station, trying so hard not to look at what was still playing on the screen.
~Back in Jeremy's memory~
His body would slow down from the random jerks and movements that would cause his body more pain. He could hear the sizzle of his skin and the slight bubble and pop of his badly burned skin. he could not smell anything anymore; though that could be a blessing, he thought; As he could see the sky of the smokey grey cover sky. ~no pain is higher than this I just wish I could die quickly, not like this.~ he felt like he was crying but could not feel anything anymore. Wishing for death, he hears it through his earhole. It was the sound of boots coming his way. "Bother Ho, are you ok! The concern in his voice as he would recognize his brother. He wanted to hug him, but with his damaged body, he couldn't move and felt ashamed about how he looked. Wishing him not to see him like this, he pleaded in his head for his brother to think that he is dead and run away for safety. He felt his body turn over to face the tears of his little brother's as he smiled; I knew you would be alive; you're not allowed to die on me yet, brother.
