Adorkable Si Xia

During the car ride, Yu Chen sat looking at Si Xia's side profile.

"How can someone be this handsome? Even in so less light, his face looks perfect." These thoughts were running in her mind when Si Xia said, "Like what you see?"

Yu Chen realised that he had caught her staring and looked away, out of the window, the tip of her ears turning pink.

She had not quite recovered from the embarrassment when Si Xia stopped the car. He said, "We're here."

Yu Chen looked around and saw that they indeed had reached Xi Hua's apartment. Yu Chen got out of the car and walked over to his window. Si Xia lowered the window as Yu Chen took off his jacket and handed it back.

She said, "Come in for a cup of coffee."

Si Xia: "That's all right. It's getting late."

Yu Chen nodded. Si Xia continued, "You sure you don't want me to send you to your parents?"

Yu Chen: "I'll be fine. And if I need anything, I'll be sure to call you."

Si Xia gave a satisfied smile, "You do that." He suddenly noticed something and said, "And make sure when you go upstairs, don't disturb Hua and Zenghai."

Yu Chen was confused. She looked in the direction Si Xia was looking and saw Huo Zenghai's car. She turned a light shade of pink as she said, "Mmhmm."

Si Xia ruffled her hair, "Good night then."

Yu Chen leaned on the window and gave a quick peck to Si Xia on the cheek. She said, "Good night." Before running off into the building.

Si Xia did not register what had happened until Yu Chen had disappeared from view.

When he finally snapped back and looked towards the building, all Xia saw was the hem of Yu Chen's golden skirt as she went into the building.

Si Xia let out a dorky smile as he touched his cheek, the spot where Yu Chen had kissed. He liked it when she initiated something. Si Xia put on the jacket which now smelled like her. He started the car and drove off.

Yu Chen went into the apartment and had a hot shower. It was really relaxing and she was in a really good mood as Chen came out and thought of making herself a cup of coffee. But then she decided against it. So, instead Yu Chen made a cup of hot chocolate and went into her bedroom. She took out her phone and called Si Xia.

He picked up only after two rings.

"Hello." Si Xia's magnetic voice came over the phone.

Yu Chen sipped in the hot chocolate as she said, "Did you reach home?"

Si Xia: "Yeah I just did."

Yu Chen: "That's good then. I was just calling to make sure you had reached. Good night then."

Happiness spread across Si Xia's heart as he heard this sentence. She was making sure he was all right. Si Xia said, "Don't stay up too late okay? Good night."

Yu Chen chuckled as she hung up.

Chen had become a night owl in London and one or two o'clock was normal bedtime for her. She knew she would not be able to sleep even if she went to bed now, so Yu Chen opened up her laptop and focused her attention on it, occasionally sipping on the hot chocolate.
