CHAPTER 40

Itachi threw the kunai at the sasuke who deflected it easily as he rushed at Itachi and bifurcated him in half. But to his amazement, the body disappeared into thin air.

'An illusion' Sasuke thought as he quickly dodged multiple shurikens which were aimed at his back. He jumped back with grace and landed on the ground and looked at a distant.

There the space seemed to have distorted and formed the figure of Itachi Uchiha.

"So you were able to see through my illusions" Itachi said as his sharingan pattern slowly turned. It changed into the mangekyo sharingan.

"Let's see if you dodge this?" Itachi said as he closed his left eye. Blood trickled down his left eye.

"AMATERASU!!!" Itachi said as he opened his left eye.

*SWWWWEEEEE* Instantaneously large amount of black flames engulfed the place where sasuke was standing.

Itachi looked at the place but was surprised to see no one there. He suddenly covered himself with orange fiery chakra.

*BAAM* He was hit from the side which sent him flying sideward like bullet.

" Oh impressive you coated yourself with the 'susano'o'" Sasuke said as he was standing at the place where Itachi previously stood.

Itachi got up from the ground. He was still covered with the fiery orange chakra. Slowly the orange chakra started to take shape.

*Kraaa swoosh swoosh kraaaa* Slowly the chakra took shape of a skeleton on which skin started to form. Slowly the figure was sourounded by chakra which took the shape of a tengu like nose having a Jewel on the forehead. Only the top half of the body was there which was attached to the ground. On one had it had a gourd and on the other it had a shield. This was the totsuka blade and the yata mirror.

"Oh the susano'o although not the perfect one" Sasuke said as he narrowed his eyes.

'He knows about the susano'o!! Who is he?" Itachi thought as his susano'o took out the sword from the gourd and aimed it at sasuke.

Sasuke calmly looked at it after which he slowly lifted his hand. Instantaneously multiple swords made up of purple chakra appeared behind Sasuke floating in the sky. They were numbered in thousands. The sky was filled with the swords.

" What the...." Itachi said looking at the swords with wide eyes.

"What sort of jutsu is this?!" Itachi shouted looking at the thousands of swords made out of chakra which were aimed at him.

Saauke looked at him and smirked, he flicked his wrist and said,"Go!!".

The swords shot at a surprised Itachi in speed of beams. Looking at this Itachi made the susano'o use it's yata mirror to defend against the swords.

Sasuke smirked and lightly said, "explode" *Boom boom boom boom boom* before the swords could touch the shield, they exploded in a huge explosion. This explosion was to terrifying thus Itachi with his susano'o were thrown backwards.

But the most terrifying thing was that behind Itachi, Sasuke was standing with his left fist clenched. He aimed it at his back and punched out.

The punch hit the susano'o and it instantly shattered like glass. Itachi was completely bewildered by this. He couldn't believe that there was some who could shatter the susano'o just with a punch.

Itachi had his forehead covered with sweats whereas Sasuke was smiling madly at him. This fight was going to be more crazy.

Currently in the meeting of the kages in the Image summit;

All the kages were present except the raikage. All the people in the hall had serious expressions on their faces as they kept silence. They were all thinking about the events which had transpired these two days. These events were something which completely shocked them. They truly didn't know what to do about all things which had happened recently.

A day ago they had got the news that the village hidden in the clouds was destroyed overnight by some unkown force. This was an extremely terrifying news. To destroy an entire shinobi village overnight and without any chaos, was really terrifying. Whoever or whatever did this was something which they had to be eliminated anyways possible for the safety of the people in the world. So that is why this meeting was held.

But today something extraordinary and terrifying happend which again made the world fall into shock. Today when they were coming from their respective villages, theey and the people from the various parts if the world saw a gigantic pillar of fire that rose above the heavens. But that wasn't all. After some times that pillar fell down on earth and devastated the lands and ocean. There was a massive earthquake which shook the entire world. This event was even more terrifying than than the annihilation if the village hidden in the clouds. So the kages from the various villages ordered their shinobis to find out the cause of this.

"What do you think was that pillar of flaming chakra. It released a humongous energy which seemed tens or even hundreds of times stronger than a tailed beast. What could it be and the destruction it caused is horrifying" The tsuchikage said. He was a short old man with a balding head.

What he said was true. When the shinobis brought the info about the destruction, they were all astonished. There was long and deep scar on the ground which was hundreds of kilometer long with a depth which couldn't be fathomed. It was a lucky thing that the area from which the attack went wasn't inhabited by humans although thousands of animals probably perished in that.

"We don't have any idea who or what it was but we might get some clues once our shinobis return" The mizukage said. She was a tall woman with deep auburn hair. She wore a blue coloured dress and had a very shapely figure. Her name was Mei Terumi the current Mizukage.

The others nodded their head and started discussing the matters related to all the events which transpired in these few day.

Currently in the moon;

Toneri was watching all the things which had transpired today. He had seen the massive pillar of flame and the destruction it caused when it came down.

He had also seen the golem and the one who was controlling him. He didn't know who this person was but he was sure that this person was extremely powerful.

" Hum it seems like I have to get the tenseigan before I go to find the byakugan princess. Then there are those of the main clan who are going to come here" Toneri said to himself in a low voice. He had got an transmission from the main clan that they were going to send a few members to reclaim the chakra and find Kaguya. He knew that currently he was no match for them. He needed to get his hands on the Byakugan asap.

Currently in the devasted battlefield;

After Naruto and his sister went away, Konan also escaped to find Nagato leaving a unconscious kisame there.

The konoha team has also escaped from the field carrying the injured shinobis away.

Suddenly a portal opened from which three figures appeared. They approached the battlefield. One was Orochimaru, the other was Kabuto Yakushi and the third figure was an unknown one because he/she was covered with a cloak. Nobody could see the appearance of this person.

When they reached the area, kabuto gasped as he saw the destruction around.

" W....what h....happened here?! This place is completely destroyed" Kabuto asked with fear in his voice.

Orochimaru looked and around and found traces of no one. He narrowed his eyes and said in an annoyed voice," Tch it seems like the battle is already over. They might have left the area"

"Orochimaru-sama, it seems like multiple shinobis are approaching this place" The cloaked figure said. Their voice was distorted and one couldn't recognize weather the person was a man or a woman.

"Seems like the shinobis from the other villages are already here. Let's go. This time we were late" Orochimaru said in a serious voice. He was pissed because he wasn't able to capture this sister of Naruto.

The other two nodded their head as the cloaked figure shook a bit and a similar portal appeared. The three of them went into it as the portal slowly closed.

But what they didn't notice, was the gaze of exotic blue eyes looking at them coldly from above the clouds.

These eyes belong to Hinata. She had a cold look as she saw the three if them enter the portal.

"Trying to capture Naruto Kun's sister, Unacceptable!!" Hinata said with a cold voice which was filled with killing intent. Saying she disappeared from the clouds.
