Chapter 2: Solo Training Ruined

The teachers here are good at training. I will give this camp that, but the actual people here for training are complete noobs. I noticed this after three days of being here. I was sparing with someone who I thought was competent, then for some reason the idiot dropped his weapon. I ended up beating him and I stopped associating with him after that. The rest of the ten are out doing their own thing. I was now training by myself in the woods near the camp.

"Hey what the hell did you say?" A bearded man said. There was someone else there who gave a rich person vibe

"I said move out of my way peasant." the rich looking person said. I was annoyed at this point because I just wanted to train to in peace, but these two assholes are yelling and disrupting my peace. I run over to where they are.

"Hey! Can you shut the hell up! Some of us are trying to train in peace, damnit!" I yell at both of them.

"Oh haha! Now you're gonna get it. This guy is going to beat you for messing with his and my peace." The bearded man says.

"I'm not here to beat one of you. I'm here to beat both of you. Any objections?" I say to them. The rich looking guy walks up.

"I do have an objection. Hello my name is Theodore. This man here is Chuck." Theodore tells me.

"Your names don't concern me at all. I didn't need that information at all seeing as I'm the person who's going to kick both your asses." I say wittyly to him.

"Well in fact it does because my family is quite wealthy. We have an abundance of money and since you're training, my family can help you out." Theodore explains to me. The part of helping me train echoed in my ears for a bit.

"What's the catch other than not knocking you out and leaving you here?" I asked him still thinking about the help with training part. Theodore smirked at me and it made me feel uncomfortable.

"Well all you have to do other than not knocking me out is to knock Chuck out and leave him here. Afterwards, I will let you get two skill stones from my family's collection. This will give you two skills of your choosing." Theodore said giving me only two options to help him or do what I planned to do. I didn't need much time. I was completely sure of what I wanted.

"If you think you can buy me off that easily," I said smiling," Then you are absolutely correct." I was excited. This is what I needed to get more power.

"Wait, please don't leave me here to die. You haven't even heard the whole story." Chuck begged. I knew what I had to do so I knocked Chuck out and left him there. I went back with Theodore to his mansion which was near the camp. Theodore showed me the vault where they kept the skill stones.

"What stops me from just stealing all of these?" I smirked.

"This house has multiple skilled fighters which protect this place and its inhabitants. They would kill you before you even made it outside so just get the two skills you want and leave. The only problem is that they have been ordered to stay hidden in this house." Theodore explained to me.

"Alright fine. Either way I get two skills." I say sighing. I looked through all of them until I saw two which I wanted. The skills I picked were Lucky Dice and Calamity Slash. They seemed to be the best for me. I left to try out the new skills.

"Use skill: Lucky Dice" The way the skill worked is that you would roll three dice. One would be for which stat would be increased. The second being by how much but the skill being at level one only gives me an increase of 1 which does nothing or 2 which doubles that stat. The higher the level, the higher multipliers I can get. The final one is what makes this skill tricky because it gives me what the rebound of multiplying my power is. It could either give me no rebound or a rebound which will hurt a ton. The other option is that I give the buff to the opponent or monster I'm fighting. This time I just doubled my strength which is useful but I learned that I can only use Calamity Slash with the multiplier. So the skills I got were powerful but have downsides. I went back to my cabin and layed in my bed. In the morning, I caught a whiff of something and it immediately woke me up. It was the smell of food and I was starving. I put on all my equipment and got ready for day four of camp.
