Chapter 5: Rematch

The next day went pretty normal and I didn't see Chuck so things were pretty quiet around the training camp. I spent the day training and looking for George. I wanted to beat the shit out of him. I went out to the dining hall and someone spotted me, none other than the person who put me in this predicament, Chloe. I was about to book it, but she yelled,"Hey Vicente over here." I tried ignoring her, but she decided to walk up to me.

     "Hi ya buddy. Are you enjoying camp so far?" Chloe asked me.

     "Well I kicked the shit out of a guy named Chuck twice. That aside it's been pretty boring." I told her. She looked at me like I was speaking another language and said,"Have you made any friends here? Are you going to eat? Have you been training at all? Are you nervous about the guild wars?"

     "No I haven't made any friends. I was going to eat and I have been training. I am not nervous for guild. Try breathing and slow down when speaking." I was partially annoyed by the first. I just wanted Chloe to stop talking.

     "You don't seem any stronger than before, but I guess instant improvement can't be asked for huh?" She told me in a mocking voice.

     "If you want to see my improvement, then fight me in a camp battle." I told her completely confident in myself. She looked at me and flicked me on the head and said,"Alright I will test your strength. Tomorrow ok? I wanna fight you with everything I have." She left the dining hall and I left shortly after. I mentally trained for the rest of the day and got ready to fight her the next day. I walked to the stadium and waited for her to arrive. She was about 30 minutes late when she finally arrived.

     I gave a mischievous smile and said,"Look who's late now. Well I guess this is where we decide what we want." I said,

     "I want to be friends because you don't seem to have any and that makes me kinda sad. Also you blunted your swords right?" Chloe said. I was extremely annoyed now.

     "Yeah I did that aside, I want you to give me the strongest weapon you own. " I said and in my gut I felt I could win. I charge slashing as fast as I could. She managed to dodge it all, but just barely got a few cuts here and there.

     "Let me end this quickly. Use skill: Never-Ending Plague." Great a debuff to all my stats, but I'm not going down like this.

     "Use skill: Lucky Dice."

      Speed

      x2

      Rebound= 0

     This was perfect because the skill Chloe used would make me collapse soon. I had another skill for the finisher.

    Chloe looked worried, "Shit. Use skill: Secret Alchemist style- Artificial Elements." Multiple elements came at me. I tried my best to dodge but I still got hit plenty of times.

     "Equip: Sword of Imoogi. Use unique skill: Duality style- Double Dragon Slash" I got her or at least I think I did. I passed shortly after using the skill due to the debuff and elements skill, Chloe used. I woke up in the infirmary in the other bed was Chloe. She seemed to be unconscious. Something in my gut told me that I hadn't won. A healer came in to check up on us. The healer removed scars and I felt better. Soon after the healer left Chloe woke up.

     "So neither of us win. How about we make a compromise. Let's be friends and I'll upgrade your weapons as best I can with alchemy." Chloe said looking determined. I figured that was the best deal, I was going to get so I accepted.

     "Hey Chloe what do friends do because I've never had one?" She laughed in my face, but she explained it to me.
