Chapter 6: Masked Bastard

Since I came to camp my stats have increased by about 100. Now camp is about a week from ending and it looks like time flew faster than I expected it to. I needed to get as much training as I could so I went straight to the forest, but something grabbed me before I could start heading towards the forest.

"Hey! Don't forget about me ok." Chloe said with a big smile.

"I'm going to train so why would I need you to come with me?" I asked. I honestly didn't know why she wanted to come to the forest with me.

"Well I don't know, maybe because I'm your friend and I don't want you to be a freaking loner. You're so stupid." I looked at her and thought.

"Hey you don't have to be an asshole about it." I told her.

"Well let's go to the forest so you can train." She said

"Ok fine. No problem I guess, but since you're gonna be there do you have anything to make my training better for me." I asked her and she seemed to be thinking for a second and then said, "No, I don't think I do and besides you seem to have been doing fine already. From what I heard someone went to talk to Shiro for some help with magic." We went to the forest and there was someone there already.

"Is there always a person here or is this a first for you too." She asked me. This was strange because no one else was this deep in the forest except us. I decided to go deeper so no one would bother while I trained, after the whole Chuck incident. This person was wearing all black and a mask.

"I've never seen this person. Weren't you talking to someone with a mask and if this isn't that person, then be on your guard." I figured this wasn't the same person who I saw when I fought Chloe a month and a half ago.

"That isn't that person. This person is taller and gives off an evil vibe." Chloe said to me. I drew my swords and got ready for anything.

"Hey! Who the hell are you?!" I yelled at the masked person.

"Oh my. I'm hurt, you don't remember me? Come on Chente, do you not recognize me?" The masked person told me.

"How in the hell do you know that nickname? Who are you and don't call me buddy." I was infuriated by this masked person. That name, I didn't ever want to hear it again.

"Well well well. You seem very angry so I won't tell you anything big. For now I'll tell you that you better watch yourself during the guild wars." I had a feeling that this person was smiling behind that mask.

"DON'T GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT!" I charged at the masked person and before I could slash, the person jumped high.

"I'll be seeing you at some point. I wish you good luck but it won't really matter." I was seeing red at this point.

     "Use skill: Lucky Dice

     Strength

     2x

     Rebound= 1.5x power given."

     "Use skill: Never-ending Plague"

"Use skill: Dual-Calamity Slash" The person had vanished and Chloe and I had missed with our skills. Those two things made me angrier.

"I don't feel like training, besides it's getting dark already. Also in the time it takes to get back you're gonna need to take me to the infirmary because the rebound will probably kick in by that time." I explained the way lucky dice worked on the way back.

"Oh I get it now and are you ok. Not the rebound, but the fact that you got really mad back there." She asked me and honestly I was sure that I wasn't, but I didn't need to worry her with my problems.

"I'm fine now that person got under my skin, I guess." As soon as rebound kicked in it felt worse than I expected, but it didn't knock me, like I thought it would. It still hurt like hell.

"Let's go get dinner. I can eat a whole cow right now." Chloe told me.

"I thought girls made sure that they kept themselves from gaining weight. I would think that a whole cow would make someone gain at least a few pounds." She immediately kicked me.

"Hey it's a figure of speech jeez. Don't be so rude since I'm a girl, so you should treat me like a delicate flower." She was no delicate flower. She was more like a thorn on a rose.

"Alright fine, but I think you're more of a thorn on a rose." She hit me again and I just ate without saying much. This was still new to me, but I kinda liked it.
