Companion

A new notification appeared and contained a greenish background.

"[Summoner Wolf] requests to be your companion. Accept the request?"

Mike, who was yet to wake up from his stupor, accepted the request. After he did this, the wolf suddenly became lethargic and rubbed its head on Mike's head , wagging his tail in glee.

Mike slowly stood up and patted the dust on himself as he visited the panel again. This time, a new attributes window that seemingly belonged to this wolf appeared.

Pet : ?

Level 0 – Summoning Wolf (requirement for advancement : 100 EXP)

Attack – 4

Endurance – 5

Intelligence – 4

Agility – 6

Skills

Passive Ability – Moonlight Blessing

+1 attributes during the night.

Basic Ability – Pack Support

Summons a pack of feral spirits under the command of the host.

Mike was deeply overjoyed. He may not have collected some EXP, but having an endless army of wolves attack an enemy was truly great. And to that, he can also command this spirit pack to attack or defend as he wished.

He picked it up and clutched it in his arms, as if it were a precious treasure. The wolf responded back and rubbed its head to his chest.

"With this, I can get some EXP to advance!" Mike said out of happiness. He was truly distressed on how to advance to the next level and there was this answer.

"Wait, lemme see …" he suddenly remembered something as he put down the wolf and visited the panel again.

When he went back, he was surprised to see that his passive ability was colored in a gray hue, meaning it was recently casted and was under cooldown.

It was actually his luck that tamed the wolf!

His [Nature Affinity] that he thought was good for nothing actually possesses something incredibly good!

Mike hurriedly nicknamed the pet 'Wolfy' in the panel as he pondered on how to command this pet.

It was night in the game now, and Wolfy grew its size slightly as the duo went deeper to the forest, hunting for food and exp.

'Surely, it must be Wolfy's [Moonlight Blessing]' Mike thought. In his visit to the panel, he studied Wolfy's data carefully to grasp any information.

Mike ordered for Wolfy to stop and obediently did as it arched its body backwards, forming a stance more common to cats than wolves.

"How unusual," Mike sneered inwardly. For a wolf to act like a dog and impose like a cat, was this a mutated animal of some sorts?

He hurriedly visited the panel again and found his passive ability active again.

A light rustle within the bushes could be heard, barely audible. But since Marvin had 7 points of [Intelligence], his perception also rose.

But before he could act, a notification showed up again and Mike noticed the cooldown of his [Nature Affinity] on gray again and knew that it was now used.

"Eh? Why so sudden?" Mike asked wondrously. It has only been 5 minutes since his last luck appeared. Achieving another would only be under 1/100 probability.

The rustle suddenly weakened as a brown branch extended from the bush towards Mike, and his face would soon tear up from the smile on his face .That was because …

On its branch … was actually … a Magic Ring!

The branch flicked the ring away and Mike caught the ring with ease. After doing its deed, the branch retreated and the forest regained its tranquility.

Mike quickly stared at the ring with greedy eyes as he quickly cast an [Identify] skill of the Intelligence threshold and a series of logs appeared in his panel.

Holy Ring (?)

Quality : Job – Restrained

Requirements : 6 Intelligence, Magic – Based Job

Basic Attack + 4 , Mana + 50

Characteristics (?)

He jumped in happiness as he threw his 'sword' and wore the ring in his right index finger. The ring fit snugly and wiped the ring of dust on its body.

It was actually a [Job – Restrained] quality!

That meant it can only be equipped on similar jobs of its purpose and even had an unidentified characteristic!

Equipment had 4 qualities ; Common , Rare , Job – Restrained , Legendary.

He only had a rare weapon when he was a Swordsman which was named [Dragon Bone], a dragon bone sharpened and formed into a sword.

He didn't expect to get hold of a higher tier weapon in this class.

"Oh my heavens! Is this still luck?!" Mike shouted in glee as he caressed the ring in his finger. If he had enough money, he will need to check it on an appraiser to know its hidden characteristic.

He continued towards the forest, skipping and jumping childishly like how a kid first knew how to walk. Now that he had a new weapon and a sidekick, all he needed was something to prove their worth.

"I remember of a Level 1 [Unicorn Hog] nearby where I also died. Maybe I can beat it with my pet and this ring." Mike proudly said and motioned for Wolfy to lead the way, while he was still engrossed on touching and wiping the newly found artifact.

He walked for quite some distance, constantly rubbing the ring in his fingers with his hand.

He suddenly stopped.

Tch ! Tch !

Sounds of scratching can be heard nearby. Mike called Wolfy as he drew his hand and slowly tiptoed towards the source of the sound.

He hid on a bush, and opening it sidewards, he saw a familiar face near an old stump.

"[Unicorn Warthog]!" Mike spoke, with traces of happiness in his face. He thought it would take some time before he could find that pig, but he suddenly found it out of nowhere.

However, in his excitement, he forgot to lower his tone, and upon hearing him speak, the hog turned to the side and saw Mike, peeping like a pervert.

"Hmmmp!"

Its nose blew as it began to go wild.

It started to kick the ground like a bull, and charged towards Mike with great speed. He knew he couldn't endure the strike with his 4 points of Endurance, so he bitterly slid to the left, almost licking the ground as he avoided the charge. It was now revealing its single horn on the top of its forehead, from which he last died, showing it was agitated.

"Holy crap! Gotta think, quick!" Mike panicked as he pointed his finger to the pig which was preparing to launch another charge at him.

Shoot!

A ray of light fled from his index finger and went to the pig, as if it wanted to cut the air in half. The ray of light approached the pig while he hurriedly stood up and picked Wolfy.
