Level Up!

"You have been poisoned!"

"Illness Penalty -1 Endurance!"

Mike scrambled in panic. By this time, he only had a quarter of his vitality and would soon end up dead if he stalled more time.

He raised his hand and light came out of his ring. However, this time it was more golden compared to that glaring white light he released when using Basic Attacks.

"[Holy Light]!" Mike used his new spell and the golden light enshrouded his whole figure.

He recovered his HP back to two – thirds of the HP bar, but the poison was not lifted.

"Hah, I really need that Guild." Mike sighed out in distress. If he hadn't acquired that healing spell, he might as well be dead right now, even though he would have some antidotes.

He fished the Common Storage Pouch from his pocket and got a [Sweet Peach].

"This should be enough to dilute the poison."

Mike ate the fruit, throwing it towards his mouth.

It was quite small than an ordinary peach, only the size of a rice ball.

He munched on, but he didn't know why it was called 'sweet' since it was only a game, and he wouldn't want to eat pixels anyway.

"Ate a [Sweet Peach]."

"Status restored to normal!"

"Illness Penalty lifted!"

A number of logs consecutively popped up, before ending with the one Mike wanted to see.

"Sufficient EXP accumulated. Please choose a class to level up."

Mike unhesitantly chose to level up his combat class and also gave his common class to advance.

He then reviewed the attributes panel.

Basic Attack : ( requirement : weapon – magic ring )

Release a ray of Heavenly Light to attack the foe, 2x damage on black magic enemies.

He noticed the [Choose Category] and immediately selected it.

[Holy Aura] – release a heavenly aura in a 2 meter radius to buff surrounding companions.

[Holy Blessing] - +5 percent healing effect.

[Holy Eradication] – additional 2x attack effects on black magic foes.

He hesitated for a bit and chose [Holy Aura].

It might have been reasonable for him to select [Holy Eradication], but having only a focused strength would not do any good.

After he selected it, he was enshrouded with a faint light, not glaring like the ring's and not golden like his Holy Light.

" Acquired [Holy Aura]."

He was not a bit surprised about this though. He already knew that once you chose a category, you'll receive a category spell, more like forming a category tree.

In his Swordsman account, he chose the category [Barbaric Spirit]. He was only one step more to reach the final stage, [Man of Sword] when the accident happened.

He didn't check his logs yet, but waited for the cooldown of his [Holy Light] to restore his HP bar to its fullest state.

"Oh, wait … " Mike stopped for a bit and approached the lying Cursemancer.

It was still there, slowly flurring away, like ashes blown lightly by the wind. It was on the process of respawning.

He then crept his hand to its purse and got hold of a similar pouch.

He pulled it out and opened the container.

14 bronze coins.

It only contained 14 bronze which was simply a contrast of the pouch's characteristics.

It was golden on the outside, which looked like a pouch made from molten gold.

He used [Identify] and checked its data.

[Storage Pouch]

Quality : Common +1

"Ptui!" Mike spat out and nearly slapped himself from disappointment.

It was just like his trashy Common Storage Pouch!

But the figure next to its quality meant it had been enchanted or revised.

He took it out and put it in his pocket.

He also grabbed her staff and the accessories remaining.

Although he felt awkward stealing from a girl, he couldn't help since he was just penniless.

Mike cast [Identify] to all of them and found they were all of Common Quality, except from the bracelet which was actually Rare.

And this was the reason why as a player died, their belongings were missing once they respawned.

Because they were stolen!

A woman sat up in a chair with her head buried in her knees, sobbing.

She was no other but the same Cursemancer that Mike had slain.

"Huhuhu,"

Sounds of light sobbing could be heard in her shelter.

"My master, is their anything I can help?" a crow cawed from behind, perched on her shoulder.

"Huhuhu,"

"My master, where is your [Evil Staff]? Why is it that you are carrying none of your jewels?" It continued to screech out from behind, which was atrocious and one could only cover their ears in disgust.

However, since crows in this world were of black magic, they can communicate with black magic user players such as Cursemancers and Necromancers.

"You'll pay dumb Priest!" she shouted in her loudest voice which even scared the crow.

After Mike inspected the stolen accessories from the Cursemancer, he buried it all inside, except for that Rare [Magic Bracelet]

Magic Bracelet (?)

Quality : Rare

+ 2 Intelligence, + 1 Endurance

It was an ordinary looking blue bracelet with no designs whatsoever. However, since it was of Rare Quality, it should be of great help when he would have it appraised.

As for that [Evil Staff] and the other things, he left them there as they were only compatible to Dark Magicians.

He prepared himself and put the 14 ill- gotten coins in the golden pouch that he all looted from that crazy Cursemancer.

He called Wolfy, who was still playing with the ashes of the skeleton's remains.

"Time to go."
