Darkmoon Wolf Tribe

Before my eyes, I saw a fairly delicate and childish looking face staring at me. In surprise, I raised my hands and the figure in the mirror followed my movements.

"Ahh." My sudden scream caught Lorel and the other female wolf off guard as they both stepped back.

"No way, this can't be me." Shaking my head, I continued to deny the reality presented before my eyes. No matter how much confused my mind was, there was no way he's just a delicate looking boy.

However, as i stared at this face of mine. Memories started returning, and I soon noticed that I do look a little different from what was considered human back in these few memories. When I thought of that, my eyes observed the small details in my face and body.

My skin had a dark shade of red, however, given the fact I was a bit pale, it didn't look that strange at all, but my eyes... Large crimson gemstone-like pupils, and as I look downwards, I saw a strange blood-red choker stuck on my neck.

"Puppy, you should rest here while I prepare dinner. I will call Lila to make you company as you wait, she also can explain more about how we found you." Lorel and other wolf helped me sit more comfortably on the bed as they left the hut. As they walked away, the two female wolves were stopped by an elder wolf, the two wolves knelled down.

"Elder Lanis..."

For some reason, even from far away, I could clearly hear their voices. It was when an old female voice sounded in the distance: "Lorel, what did you discover about the boy. Is he a spy?"

"Elder, I really don't think this boy has any bad intentions towards us. He's just a puppy, and the immature look in his eyes doesn't seem to hide any impurities."

"Liena?"

"I agree with her," The other female wolf standing next to Lorel agreed with her friend. " I have never seen a human before, but this boy is just a young human. Anyway, he doesn't seem to be a these diabolic and greedy humans described in our old story tablets."

"I see..." The voice which I recognized to be of Elder Lanis sighed lowly before continuing. "I understand, then I'll let you assume full responsibility for him. We live in one of the most desolate corners of the country, this will be the first time our tribe has a male within our lands so be careful."

"Yes, Elder." Lorel happily walked away, heading to hunt for some meat. Soon, all the voices silenced and I head short steps close to the hut.

A young wolf, slowly walked up to the hut and slowly put its head inside. This wolf was a bit different from the others, having a full black body and bluish patterns.

The wolf meekly observed the interior of the hut and when its eyes met mine, the wolf released a small shriek and put its head away, moments before it walked into the hut with its head downcast.

In my heart, there was a sudden surprise about how shy this little fellow was before him. Shy? Before this, he hasn't even thought beasts could feel shyness or any sort of feeling.

"H-hello?" The wolf's immature and timid voice sounded in my ears as I tried to control my laughing when seeing a stuttering wolf.

"There is no need to feel shy, I'm not a monster." Seeing how this young pup was towards me, I decided to help the little brat a little.

"Ohh..." The little brat's eyes instantly brighten up. "Oh, I've never had a human sibling before. This is so exciting, there is any skill you can do? Where do you come from? There are other humans as well?"

Seeing the barrage of questions, I decided to answer truthfully within my capabilities. "Well, I don't know. I don't remember nearly nothing from before awakening here. Oh, talking about here, where is this place?"

Hearing his voice, the wolf slowly grew closer to him. Not because of what I said, but for some reason it felt as if this young cub knew I was telling the truth.

The wolf broke into a run towards the shelf and returned with a piece of paper.

"This is the Darkmoon Wolf Tribe of the Espar Kingdom. One of the beast tribes living in the south of the Espar Kingdom capital city. Mom found you unconscious lying on a pile of snow without any clothes so she brought you here and took care of you until you awoke."

The following hour, Lila and I chat about a lot of things which helped understand a bit about where he was. The land where they resided is a part of the earthen god's territory which is further divided into many different countries and regions. The Espar Kingdom is one of the vassals of the Divine Kingdom of Earth.

Espar, differently from most kingdoms, was divided into five royal clans governing over the dozen noble clans and other powerful beasts that lived in the capital while the weaker tribes battled over the desolate areas for a bit of land to their own. This area, for example, was known as the Valley of Wolves, a forest busy by many wolf tribes.

Stuffing her nose high in a sign of pride as she thought of something, then Lila moved her paws forming full circle in the air and jumping up and down excitedly. "You should have come earlier, so you would be able to see my best friend. Last year she became a full-fledged 2-star Water Beast at three years old, and the Wolf King himself came here to adopt her into his Noble Clan."

I'm sure Lila was about to say something big, and a loud sound after another scream resounded through the tribe coming from outside the hut. I felt intense negative and aggressive feelings coming from the outside. Surely something must have happened out there.
