Still alone in his hospital room, Matt sees the easiest mission to do currently.
1.Do twenty push-ups(0/20) repeatable
Reward: 1 point randomly added to strength or endurance.
So Matt locks the door to his hospital room, gets on the floor in a standard push-up position, and begins to slowly do push-ups. Twenty are easily finished within a few minutes of starting and he gains a point in strength. Checking his stats and mission tab to confirm, he still only has to do 20 push-ups for the mission. Continuing his workout for another half hour, he has earned a total of 5 points in strength and 1 point in endurance. Interestingly enough it seems the two stats are balanced out but the reason Matt stopped to take a break is that his HP began to decrease.
"System why am I losing HP from working out? Also why do I mostly get strength from this mission with a random reward, is it not a 50/50 chance to get a point in either one?"-Matt
"You are losing HP because you are overworking the body's muscles, causing damage to them. Even though your current constitution doesn't feel exhaustion like a normal person, you do still have a set amount of 'stamina' based on your endurance. The higher your endurance the more intense activity your body can handle at once before needing recovery or sacrificing HP as a substitute. The points given are not based on a 50/50 but based on how high the stat is. The higher stat has a much lower chance of being raised during exercise."-System
"So if I get my HP regen high enough then I could effectively have unlimited stamina?"-Matt
"Will you stack every point towards endurance and nothing towards strength and agility? If so then yes, you would have unlimited stamina. If you chose to raise the physical stats in a balanced way then with a higher power and speed, your body would have a higher stamina consumption. The usage would scale with your stats, but higher stats will still increase your duration for high intensity actions."-System
"Well equal growth does seem to be the best route at least for now when it's easy to increase my stats. If it's anything like the games I've played, then I assume it will progressively get harder to increase my abilities."-Matt
"Correct."-System
So I unlocked basic martial arts mastery for getting my strength to 20 points. It seems fairly self explanatory but I should appraise it just in case.
Appraisal
Basic Martial Arts Mastery- You have grasped the way to use your body to inflict damage on other creatures. You have no set style but more of an instinct for fighting. You also gain the ability to learn other styles easier than normal and incorporate them into a unique style for yourself.
That's actually better than I expected. Maybe I should try learning a bit at the local dojos soon.
As Matt thinks about this new ability, an unlucky fly buzzes by his head and is clapped between his palms. *Ding* Hardened Mind has been unlocked. I thought I'd have to actually fight something like a mugger for that. That's a little disappointing honestly.
"I am in awe at how literal you are system."-Matt
"Thank you for the compliment host. The missions tab has now been updated since a non-repeatable quest has been completed."-System

2.Run 1 mile(0/1) repeatable

3.Learn meditation and reach 100 total MP capacity.(10/100)
Reward for learning meditation: Increases MP by 50
Reward for 100 MP: new magic perk or spell learned
4.Create your own ability(0/1)
Reward: One free upgrade to any current ability
5.??? chain quest
Reward: 60 skill points
"Is creating a skill different than what I did for danger sense and cat's eye?"-Matt
"Yes, those skills are abilities that your body made on its own as an adaptation to your environment. They are technically skills that can be obtained naturally through training, the system just makes it easier to acquire. Creating your own skill means making full use of things you wouldn't naturally have, such as things you could only obtain because you have me. Like if you were to make a magic related skill."-System
"That gives me with my 20 point intelligence a headache System. Would making that meditation skill count?"-Matt
Processing.....Processing........"That would satisfy both missions."-System
