Fake demigod

Chris made his way towards the next city, noticing a long line forming at the entrance gate. With a sigh, he joined the queue, patiently waiting for his turn to enter. As he stood there, the guards cast bewildered glances at his horse, clearly taken aback by its extraordinary appearance. Seizing the opportunity to dispel their surprise, Chris spoke up.

Chris: Don't be alarmed. This is no ordinary horse. It belongs to a rare and unique breed that is seldom seen.

Gradually, the guards regained their composure, their curiosity piqued.

Guard 1: Truly? We have never encountered such a magnificent creature before.

Guard 2: It certainly is a sight to behold. Please proceed once it's your turn.

With a nod of gratitude, Chris awaited his moment and finally made his way through the gate and into the bustling city.

As he strolled along the vibrant streets, admiring the bustling crowds and the grand architecture, Chris couldn't help but notice a regal carriage coming to a halt nearby. A finely dressed person emerged from within and approached him with an air of authority.

Prince: I demand that you hand over that horse to me immediately!

Chris turned to face the Prince, taken aback by the sudden demand.

Chris: I'm sorry, but this horse is mine. I cannot simply part with it.

Prince: Do you even know who I am, peasant?

Chris: I apologize, but I'm not familiar with your identity.

Prince: I am the son of the mighty king who rules over this Kingdom. Our lineage carries the sacred blood of the gods. Therefore, you shall show me the respect I deserve and surrender that horse to me at once!

Chris arched an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of the Prince's grandiose claims.

Chris: Divine blood, you say? How can you be so certain that both you and your father possess such a remarkable heritage?

Prince: Our great queen proclaimed that she had been blessed by the gods, leading to the birth of my father—a true testament to our divine lineage.

Chris pondered the Prince's words for a moment, his expression thoughtful.

Chris: I see. Well, in that case, if it means so much to you, you can have the horse. However, I must say that I remain unconvinced about your family's claims of divine blood.
