At this point, there's no need to say anything more. Every American, or rather, every Westerner, knows that although cultivating and dealing this stuff is illegal, at least 90% of Westerners have tried it. It has nearly become a part of Western culture.
Charlize carefully sprinkled some of the powder onto the rolling paper that came with it, then meticulously rolled it up. She had gotten this from Tad, the short, dark guy at the motel; many people bought marijuana from him. Charlize had tried it once or twice before, just as I mentioned before. It's difficult to find a Westerner who hasn't tried marijuana—it's not a drug to them but a way to relieve stress, as long as it's not overdone. Of course, what counts as overdoing it depends on one's self-control.
