Training part 9

Ryuk said to himself as he reviewed the battle "No wonder angels can stay toe to toe with demons not only are Seraphim's scary these formations are scary as well. I made no profit from this battle my qi gathering arrays are mostly broken and the few that work aren't gonna last long furthermore how come master hasn't given me one of those jades to teleport. Not only did he not give me swords he won't give me protection. Hmph!"

Ryuk then turned to the dragon and asked "Is this girl and tiger the one's who attacked you?"

Ryuk sent his Spiritual sense with their portraits to the dragon. The dragon roared and shouted "Yes those are the two! Not only that horrid human who tried to extract mine and my child's blood essence that damn tiger! We dragons are counterpart's to Tigers and enemies, but this is too much! We dragons never taken tiger cubs!"

Ryuk then said "Your blood essence... She must cultivate a technique related to the tao of blood or/and she has the law of blood. How annoying I thought I would meet an eccentric when I read about the tao of blood, but all of them are so dull. Blood respresents death, but also life yet they all flock to the conventional thinking how disgusting. Do you want me to kill her? I won't kill the tiger, but I can if you want the girl."

The dragon calmed down due to Ryuks desire to help and said "No need I don't care about them just my child."

Ryuk nodded and began to make more arrays to draw in qi.

The girl had teleported a fair distance away her head covered in sweat and her brows contacted in anger. Her tiger shaking slightly.

Ryuk looked upon the mother that dotted upon her egg and warmness filled his quiet heart. He whispered "Such a beautiful moment."

But, this made him think was any of it worth it?

Although Ryuk liked to kill it wasn't that he was mindless and obsessed. He knew the weight of what he did thats why he always made it so when he killed there was a reason. Like his master had told him he began to think about death, life and killing.

"We Cultivators have various reasons and truths, but in the end what we seek is eternal life... Yet we kill and snuff out life as we seek this truth. We fall to the depths of ugliness and do things like kill Innocents. I've seen people die and I've killed many aswell, but I don't want to pretend it doesn't matter. Killing is not a transaction it's cold and bitter. Life is bitter. Perhaps I kill to hide from the ugly, but is that an excuse? Why can't everything be beautiful moments full of joy and smile everlasting throughout existence? Why must we be so ugly?"

Ryuk sighed imagining such a perfect world where there were only smiled and love eternally, yet he knew that was simply a dream. Life by natural fact sprouted these conflicting themes and unless he made all existence puppets controlled by his will they would never be the way he imagined.

Sighs erupted out of Ryuks lips again and he couldn't felt fell life was too stupid to fight for...

When he was a child he was looked upon by his father as something worse than scum. He was always given weird glares for his behavior and natural bloodlust. His mother loved him, yet was killed. His was thrown away due to jealousy and hate. He could accept all of that, but he couldn't accept not only life condemning him, but also the Universe it was too unfair, too cruel and that caused Ryuk to become who he was. He wasn't like other heros who had parents or tragic encounters that shaped his being he just had the unsavory feeling of not being wanted or not being accepted and being forgotten. He wanted to be recognized and accepted perhaps like a bastard child. Yet Ryuk had forgone that desire for recognition and now simply wished to make it so the things that reject him don't exist that he is the one who decides what is ugly and beautiful.

Ryuk felt himself unraveling like a box and inside he could feel a seed pulsating violently and throbbing with a might that demands recognition. He had felt something similar when he was betrayed by the sect and saw their clear animosity yet this was more powerful, more divine, more unique and loving of Ryuk unlike the self harming nature of the other one.

Behind Ryuk a flickering figure faded in and out. In and out. Its face was hard to describe like a layer of fog around it as well as the rest of its body. Yet if one looked closely they could see a brilliant blue and white eye tinged in a myriad of colors. Like a dazzling flower Separated from a field of roses.

Patriarch Crystal eyes shone and he muttered "A truth seed..."

Riel said "It's not that special Patriarch most of the heavens children of the other sects as well have truth seeds."

Riel said hoping Patriarch Crystal would leave him and Ryuk alone.

Patriarch Crystal snorted "You think I don't know he didn't even understand what truth and pain stood for? You must have taught him a few days ago at most and yet he already formed a truth seed with no help or guidance... He's a genius. Furthermore that truth it seems wonderful."

Riels face darkened he first hand knew how amazing Ryuk was. His understanding was amazing, battle sense good, his talents heaven defying, his comparative thinking profound. Ryuk had found his path after a few hours after learning the true way and a few days after that he developed a truth seed who wouldn't be stunned into vomiting blood. Riel was even sure those Otherworlders couldn't count compared to Ryuk. Yet the more that was made clear to Patriarch Crystal the more he would try his best to steal Ryuk.

Ryuk took a deep breath and expelled some held breaths. His heart was lighter as if a weight had been pulled off, but his mood was still low.

A distance away the same girl Ryuk had fought was eying him with no expression. As soon as she took her eyes off him though her expression became a cruel, annoyed and bloodthirsty one.

"Damned brat! Interfering with my plans! That blood essence from that baby when killed with have some much death aura that it will do wonders for my divine abilities and Cultivation technique! I want to skin that kid and cook him! If I get that mother and the child my blood cave technique will make serious advances. Then with that I can kill that fuck Ryuk who master has taken a liking too. Niva you shitty tiger why aren't you taking this seriously!"

The tiger growled it had increased in intelligence yet hadn't learnt human language, but through the blood contract they shared she could hear what Niva said "That exalted one is my king mistress. I can't fight him not only do I not want to I will be hated by all of my kind if I do."

The girl was annoyed, but also unsettled and greedy. "Your saying he had a more powerful bloodline than you?"

Niva didn't want to say much and so although that explanation wasn't totally correct it wasn't wrong and so nodded its big head.

The girl smiled as if she had gotten gold.

"Im going to drink you blood brat!"
