"Looks like we have company...."
Henrik looked back at the narrow slit from which he jumped out of and mumbled to himself "I will be back in a bit."
Saying so he disappeared from his spot and appeared before a platoon of silver armored knights.
The horse they rode on were constantly backing away as if they were afraid of the child before them.
The knights were clad in silver armor and held long flags in their hands while swords dangled from their waists. Their faces were unprotected but their neck was covered in chain mail which blocked any lethal attack on the neck.
They warily looked towards Henrik who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, scaring the hell out of them. Though Henrik was only a 12 years old child with extremely attractive features and deep blue eyes, there were all kinds of monsters and evil spirits in the world so they didn't drop their guard.
In the middle of the platoon, a carriage was well protected from all sides. Gold and silver engraving boosted its beauty beyond words. Henrik scanned the area with his [Advanced locator spell].
Locating no living soul except them here, Henrik let out a sigh before raising his hands in the air. Seeing the little boy raising his hand towards them, the knight went on full alert for any kind of attack.
"Otum adnarvet esnavit atim...."
The [Traveler sealing spell] which Henrik learned after absorbing Markos's magic covered the area around them. The spell allows the Travelers to seal off a certain location, entrapping anyone within with an invisible barrier.
Markos was probably one of the greatest witches to be ever born, he wasn't overpowered like others yet his mastery over his magic and spell creation surpassed that of any other person ever to be born.
His spell was so good that even a 2000 years old witch was forced to believe that it was Universe's way of doing things. He was even capable of casting a [Cloaking spell] on himself to hide from the Spirits which were the source of Spirit magic. He even had a quasi-purification spell that could strip any magical thing of its magic which wasn't [Traveller's magic].
Using his knowledge, Henrik cast the boundary spell to trap the knights inside the barrier so that no one could leave or enter without his permission. Currently, they were surrounded by some kinds of ruins. Henrik had no idea where was he, also his hunger had been torturing him until now.
ᒥ....He needed to feed....ᒧ
ᒥ....He needed blood to quench his thirst....ᒧ
For this, the knights needed to die but at least he would leave the ones inside the carriage and some other knights alive so that he could use them to carry his family away from the ruins and also gain more knowledge about this world.
Henrik took small steps towards them while his blue eyes struck fear in those who gazed at him for too long. His eyes turned a darker shade of red while veins popped beneath his eyes. His canines extended a little.
"I am sorry but I need to feed. I have been starving for so long..."
He disappeared from their view before appearing near one of the soldiers, tearing off his chain-mail. He kicked on the soldier's knee cap, snapping his leg into two before sinking his teeth deep inside the poor knight's neck.
"Arggghhh...!!!!" The knight howled as he struggled to break free, the feeling of his blood being drained from his body was too clear to him. He knew he would lose his life but the fear he felt paralyzed him.
He struggled to break free but the hand around his neck suddenly let go of his neck and grabbed his chin instead. Henrik removed his mouth from his neck and twisted his chin, breaking his neck and killing him.
The dead body of the knight was tossed aside like trash as he took deep breaths to calm down his raging hunger, Blood flowed from Henrik's mouth and covered his neck and cloak.
"Huff Huff...this feeling is amazing...."
Henrik smiled before disappearing from where he was standing.
[15 minutes later]
"Mother....what is going outside? Are we in danger...?" An eight years old child glanced outside from the window which was covered in fresh blood, not allowing him to see outside.
The boy had white hair and fair skin which resembled polished gold. He had a birthmark on his left hand, a tattoo that was still developing.
He wore a white shirt and leather boots, sitting in front of him was his mother. The 24 years old blond who had skin that like a polished diamond. She let out a warm smile while caressing her son's head affectionately.
"Don't worry Albus, we will be alright.....the knights will protect us from any danger."
"I doubt that...." The wooden door creaked and the lock broke apart. The woman tightly held her son and picked up a dagger before pointing it towards the door.
The 12 years old boy with a beautiful face and deep blue eyes enters the carriage. Blood covered his mouth and neck as he looked towards the mother-son pair.
"I wish you no harm...."
"Then why did you attack us, what are you...?"
"Just a normal boy who was too hungry, so he had to feed... I want to know about this world. My family and I have been sleeping for a long time and now finally I woke up. I want to know how the world had changed."
"Why should I help you ?"
"Because you don't have a choice...I will get what I want. One way or another.....also I didn't kill every one of your knights." Henrik picked up a cloth and wiped his mouth and hands before smiling at the little Albus who innocently looked towards Henrik with curiosity.
"Where have the knights gone too if you hadn't killed them...?"
Hearing her question Henrik let out a warm smile and answered back.
"They have gone to retrieve my family..."
