Chapter :-7 Spirit Hunting (Part-3)

The silver glow quickly faded as 6 dark purple crystals formed, coiled in chain making a pendent. It looked identical to Esther's Talisman yet different in capacity and power.

This pendant would allow Henrik to channel all of his magic and could draw the power from mystical objects such as sun and moon should he link it to them.

Henrik held out his palm and picked the 6 pendants, his blue eyes admiring the masterpiece he created. A foolish grin made its way onto his face as he let out a laugh.

"Hahaha.....With this, no one will ever be able to hurt my family..."

He wore one of the pendants while carefully pocketing the others inside his pouch. Finally finished after making these goodies he focused on the Riverside where the spirit was running rampant.

ᒥ....Back at the Riverside....ᒧ

Abe Yasunari calmly walked forward while looking at the unending mountain of corpses. He knelt down and carefully observed one of them. Shriveled bodies with no blood in their veins. Their eyes contained the last emotion they ever felt before the spirit killed them.

Fear, rage, sadness, despair, all of these emotions transformed into a collective power which the spirit devoured.

Abe Yasunari had a grim expression on his face, seeing the mountain of corpses at his feet. He knew that he had underestimated the evil spirit.

"So many were killed....the spirit must have grown a lot stronger after taking so many lives. I must seal it away or else it wouldn't be stopped by anything....."

A magic incantation appeared in his palm and divine words left his mouth. A golden halo appeared behind him as all of his magic took the shape of a white woof. Silver fur and grey eyes that shone in the darkness cast of the night.

"Mighty protector of humanity, Uruak of the Wind. I humbly pray for your blessing, grant me the strength to banish this great evil to the depths which none can reach."

Winds picked up around him as a golden aura burst out of his body, the world around him seemed to lit up as the corpses decayed at a visible speed and disintegrated into nothingness.

He stepped forward and started moving towards the shine situated on the other side of the river. The Duchess and the council had protective charms on them which protected them from the torment of the spirit. They had asked the knights to stay away from the riverside lest the spirit prey on them.

"I think we should not get too close to the mage, the expression on his face indicates that this evil spirit is more dangerous than we all thought. This battle would be hard, we must not come in his way while he confronts the spirit."

"I agree...., maybe we should stay on this side of the river rather than following him to the other side. Also, make sure that your protective charms are active."

Caroline glanced at the councilmen who seemed afraid of the spirit and couldn't help but frown. This evil spirit has already killed so many of their people yet these people only think about themselves. She didn't blame them for it though, fear of the unknown is human nature also one must put themselves before others.

She glanced towards her son, Albus. His green eyes gazed the vast dead land, he swept his eyes towards the corpses and the withered trees and plants, he remembered how it once used to look like.

Green everywhere, large trees and all kinds of animals drank from the river. This place was a truce, between the predator and the prey but now due to the evil spirit, it had become the symbol of death and carnage.

"The spirit must be sealed...."

The councilmen glanced at the future ruler of the Dukedom and couldn't help but feel shameful for their previous behavior. His expression was solemn but no fear could be seen on that innocent face.

"Look at the sky above the shrine, it has turned blood red....like the blood of the people has gathered above the shrine and would rain blood."

Abe could see the red clouds gathering above the shrine, this was the sign that the evil spirit has sensed his presence and will soon be facing him. His fists tightened, nails dug inside the flesh and the blood flowed.

ᒥ...Must stop him...ᒧ

The golden halo expanded and covered the area around his body, the red clouds converged into a huge blood-red claw and attacked him.

The wooden staff with a purple orb appeared in Abe's right hand as he waved it in the air in front of him. A huge force burst out of the staff as a white sword slashed the blood-red claw into two pieces.

"DaMn HuMaN.....DiE...!!!!"

"Begone evil spirit...[Mandala shakti]..."

A mandala appeared beneath his feet and expanded all around. The spirit issued a roar as blood-red arrows fell from the sky. The mandala flew upwards and protected Abe.

The red clouds started converging into Fox's head. The dark red face covered the sky as fire appeared out of thin air and started burning towards Abe.

The flames were intense, the ground around him was scorched while he endured while gritting his teeth. His Mandala showed signs of melting. Cracks appeared on its surface but Abe held on.

He took out a jar and placed it in front of him, incantation appeared as divine words left his mouth.

"Oh, Uruak of the Wind, chain down this evil....."

The Divine wolf pounced towards the clouds at unbelievable speed and bite the face of the fox.

"[Evil Containment Wave]...."

The wolf dragged the fox towards the mouth of the jar which Abe had placed in front of him on the ground. The Jar was simply looking with 'Mafuba' written on it with a special ink.

The technique is designed to seal demons away by sucking them into a container with a special "Demon Seal" ofuda on it. The move requires huge stamina and endurance to perform if the user does not have enough life force they will die soon after performing it, despite the success of the technique.

The technique can be performed in different ways to get the same result in sealing the target as the move requires delicacy and finesse.

This technique was the bane of all evil spirits and demons, the fox issued a roar which resounded throughout the river.
