Chapter :-40 Talking with Susanoo (Part-1)

ᒥ....Come forth Goddess of Universe and Sun, and your master summons you. Gaze this world with your presence and status as the main Shinto God....ᒧ

The mark over the backside of Henrik's right palm which was covered with white-coloured bandages shone with a brilliant yellow light. The kanji letter "寸" was visible even though his palm was included with the bandages.

He was using his link with the pendant to command Amaterasu to do his bidding indirectly. She was a slave to the pendant as her soul was bonded to it, and unfortunately for her, the pendant was soul bounded to Henrik.

This not only meant that Henrik could indirectly control Amaterasu, her expression, her feelings, her emotions, her actions, her divine power, even her thoughts but also that there was zero chance of him being in danger due to controlling a God's soul.

For example, a God of Izanagi's calibre wouldn't be suppressed by the black Grimoire while even if he became bound to the pendant, he could take over the possessor's body but since the connection between the God soul and the user was indirect as the pendant acted as the medium.

There was no danger of the user's body being highjacked, and this made controlling the Gods 100% safe. This was also the only reason why he was so confident of subduing Izanagi after gaining 'her' as a slave.

But first, he needed to strike a deal with Susanoo, and for that, he had to summon his first using Amaterasu as a medium. Thus, he invoked the Sun Goddess in her human-like form.

"As soon as he appears, use the black Grimoire and suppress him."

"But the Grimoire doesn't differentiate from foe and friend, Amaterasu would as be under the suppression effect after the Black Grimoire activates."

"It's ok, and everything is going according to my plan just be ready."

"Yes, master..."

Soon yellow particles converged beside him, forming a woman. Wolf-ears, pupilless white eyes, long white hair, a soft and fluffy wolf-tail and a red-coloured fish scale over her cute head.

The red oval marking on her forehead shone a little, wearing a red Yukata she stood beside Henrik with a blank expression.

Henrik didn't want her to speak when he converses with Susanoo, lest he changes his mind after hearing his sister's words. He didn't want that to happen, and this meeting must proceed without violence.

If they fought then not only will the whole shrine will be destroyed, but also the priest and other monks would interfere with his fight, not to mention the casualties this place would have to bear.

"Let's begin...."

"Amaterasu, charge up your divine-power..."

"...."

A yellowish-aura surrounded her body as a divine power burst out of her body, growing to enormous levels. As if a response to her divine power, an equally reliable divine power burst forth from deep within the cave.

A small blue dot flew towards them as they stopped a few meters away from them. The black Grimoire suddenly burst open as pages changed inside it, a giant mandala appeared beneath their feet and covered the whole cave.

The divine power excluded by the blue dot and Amaterasu plummeted down to an achievable level. The blue dot expanded into a blue coloured opaque sphere, the great light show dimmed significantly revealing a man inside the sphere wearing a black haori with a red cap around him.

White hair, pale skin, white eyes, an athletic body which excluded confidence and arrogance along with unfathomable power. Susanoo looked like a young man in his mid-twenties, not much older than Henrik.

He had handsome features and didn't even put Henrik and Kiyohime in his eyes, Amaterasu and the black Grimoire were the only things that attracted his attention.

Even when the black grimoire suppressed his power, the incredible power released by his body was on par with the power Amaterasu possesses when fighting within her shrine.

Just like the Grimoire, the shrine is also ancient devices that boost the parameters of God, the shrine belongs to, which means that within her sanctuary, Amaterasu was stronger than now even when suppressed by the Grimoire.

But now since she was within another God's shrine, she didn't get the parameter boost. In conclusion, she was weaker than Susanoo who was boosted within his sanctuary, though not by much.

"Greetings sister, though before anything I would like to ask why are mortals here? Did you take some servants?..."

Hearing his arrogant words angered Kiyohime while Henrik had an indifferent expression on his face. He was very knowledgeable and experienced when it came to the true nature of God.

Amaterasu didn't greet or reply to Susanoo's question but stood beside Henrik with a blank expression. Though Henrik controlled her expressions and body movement, her thoughts were not being manipulated.

ᒥ....No!! It's a trap Susanoo!!! Run!!....ᒧ

ᒥ....You must leave!! Do not listen to what he says!!!....ᒧ

Unfortunately, she couldn't express herself by making an expression or speaking about it. It was like, strings attached to her body, a puppet she becomes only to be controlled by Henrik for luring her brother.

Henrik didn't like using such tactics, but he couldn't take any chances; also his doing wasn't harming them in any way, in his world there were no Gods by the 13th century, at least no one saw one.

This led him to believe that something must have happened for them to disappear from the face of the earth and become stories. You could say that he was saving them by making sure of their survival even though the cost is eternal servitude, it isn't as bad as one may think.

Seeing her not answering him, Susanoo frowned as he sensed that something was amiss in this situation.

ᒥ....Why is she not replying?....ᒧ

ᒥ....What with that expression?....ᒧ

ᒥ....Did something happened?....ᒧ

Just as he was going through his inner monologue, the man beside his sister took a step forward and said speaking with a slight smile on his face.

Come to think of it, Susanoo didn't look at the mortals standing beside her sister. A young man in his early twenties, short white-hair, ocean blue-eyes, a handsome face on 'par' with his own and a well-balanced physique.

He too wore a black haori along with a cap around him, but black. A purple pendant hung from his pale white neck, right arm covered in white bandages.

Henrik had been using [Zetsu] to conceal his [Force] power from Susanoo just in case things went south; he would have the edge over him with the element of surprise.

Behind him stood another mortal, a beautiful woman with a sexy body, long white-hair, crimson eyes, sharp features, wearing a red Yukata with a sword and Flintlock hanging from her waist.

"Greetings Susanoo, God of Storms and Waves, Amaterasu's younger brother, Slayer of Orochi. My name is Henrik Mikaelson, master of Amaterasu and am here to propose a trade."

Hearing him speak, Susanoo was thoroughly confused as it showed on his face.

ᒥ....Master of Amaterasu!?....ᒧ

ᒥ....Even if she has a wolf-form, she is not a pet!?....ᒧ

ᒥ....Is he high or something!?....ᒧ

ᒥ....What the fluff is going on!?....ᒧ

Susanoo ignored Henrik entirely as he turned towards Amaterasu and asked in a confused tone.

"Sister, if this is one of your pranks then you may fluff off...I don't have time for this."

Amaterasu didn't know whether to cry or laugh, and she couldn't speak or even show any expression, she has been captured like a Pokemon and her brother is complementing whether all of this is a prank or not.

ᒥ....I think it is better if you get sealed inside the pendant....ᒧ

Seeing his usually over-energetic sister not speaking, he frowned as he looked towards Henrik and asked in an annoyed tone.

"What is going on?"

This time instead of answering him, Henrik undid the bandages around his right arm and pointed the back of his palm towards Susanoo. The kanji letter "寸" glowed over the end of his palm.

Seeing the symbol on the back of his palm, Susanoo's expression changed in slow motion. Confusion turned realisation turned astonishment turned anger turned killing intent.

A blue arc of blazing thunder blasted towards Henrik who just stood still with a smile over his face.

As soon as the arc neared a few meters towards Henrik, the cute wolf-girl made her move and stood in front of Henrik, her palm outstretched as an enormously giant fireball blasted out of her soft palm.

The two colossal forces collided into each other, setting off an enormous explosion that was contained with Kiyohime's barrier. Even though the black Grimoire suppressed Amaterasu, the portion of her real power that Kiyohime was receiving wasn't overpowered by the Grimoire.

It allowed her to cast a powerful barrier around the cave, to prevent it from collapsing over them.

Susanoo was indeed angered.

His sister was enslaved.

By a mortal.

By a punny creature.

He thundered as he spoke, the arc of blue lightning danced around his body as enormous divine power rolled off his body. In front of such power even Amaterasu retreated backwards, inside his shrine he was most potent of the three siblings.

"HOW DARE A MORTAL SUBJUCATE A GOD!!!"

Henrik took a step forward and stepped beside Amaterasu, and he put his left palm over her shoulder while he traced a finger down her neck using his other hand, a smirk on his face as he taunted Susanoo, it would make the fighting much more manageable.

"She belongs to me, Susanoo. I defeated her in a fair battle and made her my subordinate. I didn't come here to fight, and I want to offer you a trade...."

Hearing his words, Susanoo calmed down a bit and pondered, though a mortal touching his sister angered him what he heard was also correct. Even if he used the strange Grimoire to suppress her, fighting a God was an impossible feat in itself.

He tried to scan Henrik and gauge his power but was pleasantly surprised by the fact that he couldn't even sense an ounce of strength coming from him. Since he had the mark of the sun on his body, then no matter how weak he was, divine energy would still be present in his body.

But Susanoo couldn't sense any kind of energy emitting from Henrik's body. This could only mean two things:- first that he was using some sort of treasure to hide his strength second that he was using a technique to protect his power.

The chances of it being the former were less, and he couldn't see any kind of extraordinary item on Henrik's body other than the pendant which he knew for a fact that it wasn't a clocking item.

That meant former was closer to the truth. Susanoo had to be careful when dealing with this mortal. He didn't know why but he got a strange vibe from Henrik.

"Say what you want to say, Mortal."

"Susanoo-san, I can fulfil your one wish that you have been craving for in exchange for your eternal servitude what do you think..."

Hearing him Susanoo nearly spat out blood, how dare a mortal talk to him about being a servant. Him, a God serving a mortal forever, such bullshit.

"YOU—"

"I can help you reunite with your 'mother'..."

Susanoo's eyes widened after hearing his words while Amaterasu was shivering from fear at the mere implications of this statement.

"What are you talking about?..."

"I am aware of your intense longing to meet your 'mother', isn't that the reason why you happily left the heavens!?"

"I can fulfil your wish at the price of your soul."

"Impossible, Izanagi had blocked the cave of the underworld with a boulder which is unbreakable. A guardian guards the area, and 'mother' can't exit the cave of underworld."

"Her darkness covered the whole plane, yet she still can't break the seal. Izanagi would immediately kill anyone who approaches that place."

"You can not unite me with my 'mother'."

"How can you be so sure, I defeated your sister and even managed to bind her soul."

"I was able to defeat her within her own Temple, something even you or Tsukoyumi could do."

"Indeed, I can't break the seal but...what about creating a bridge, a medium which will allow her to bypass the seal is possible."

A dark aura surrounded Henrik, his [Hatsu] leaked out of his body. The sheer darkness released by him was nothing compared to his 'mother', but the intensity behind it was as strong as his mothers.

His mother's intensity was unending, unbreakable and unforgettable. Revenge against Izanagi was the thing 'she' wanted the most.

Similarly, Henrik's intensity was as strong as 'her's', but it wasn't revenge, it was something more positive, something that nothing could compare to, something that mattered the most, something that defined who he is,

ᒥ....Always and forever....ᒧ

ᒥ....Family is everything....ᒧ

Susanoo took a deep breath as he thought about the words Henrik spoke to him. After a couple of minutes, he answered,

"I will agree to your proposal, but you must free Amaterasu."

"No can do..."

"Then I will force you to compromise...."

Large arcs of blue lightning danced around his body as the air around them solidified in an instant.

Henrik stopped using [Zetsu], like a flood, [Force] burst out from his body and flooded the cave, cracks appeared over the shape of the barrier which Kiyohime was maintaining, under the sheer power of his [Force].

Henrik looked towards Susanoo and said in a flat tone.

"You can try, but you wouldn't win...."
