"Hello, headquarters! This is Charlie speaking…. over!" (Korean Captain)
"...."
"I repeat! This is Charlie speaking.….over!"
"...."
"Damn it! The signals are being jammed! Even the radar doesn't show anything! And this unusual fog is blocking our view!" (Captain)
In the deep ocean, covered with dense fog and dead silence. A lone Korean battleship could be seen moving forward with minimum sound. The captain of the ship ordered his men to shut down the engines and be ready to fire at the moment's notice.
The Korean battleship was the leading ship of Kowu fleet, in possession of nuclear warheads and a squad of Tactical-level magicians specializing in oscillation magic.
After the surprise attack on the scouts, the navy was ordered to converge at the last coordinates and destroy the enemy but just as they started moving towards the scouts, all their connection to the outside world was jammed and a thick fog covered the ocean.
The fog was strangely sound-proof and magic didn't work on it. A few of Korean magician tried to use oscillation magic to blow away the fog particles but their magic was ineffective over the strange fog.
The captain of the Korean battleship left nervous, all this seemed too strange and didn't make any sense. He suspected that this was some kind of strange magic used by the Japanese forces to blind them and ambush them in the fog.
The surrounding was totally silent thus he couldn't know if their fleet was attacked or not. It felt like all of the ships were all alone in the vast ocean.
One of the members of the crew decided to speak up to the captain and maybe figure out the situation.
"Captain!" (Korean Mob)
Hearing someone calling his name, the Captain turned his head towards the direction of the sound.
"Yeah!?…" (Captain)
Seeing that he had gained his Captain's attention, he decided to speak but was interrupted before he could finish his sentence.
"Why don't w—…"
*Boom!*
A beam of hot plasma impacted the hull of the Battleship, the [Surface-barrier] was immediately deployed to absorb the impact and protect the ship but the temperature of the plasma was extremely high, after a few seconds the plasma burned through the barrier, punching a hole inside the hull of the Korean ship.
The ship lost balance as the gaping hole within its hull started getting filled with water. The Captain standing on the bridge was jerked forward due to the momentum gained by the plasma cannon, wrapping his arms around the handle he managed to regain his balance and stand up.
"Report!…" (Captain)
"Sir! We have taken critical damage from the attack! The [Surface-barrier] is totally broken whereas the auto-repairing feature of the ship is not responding! The chambers are being filled with water! The controls are not responding due to increased temperature!" (Korean Mob)
*Bang!*
"Damn it!…." (Captain)
The Korean Captain smashed his fist deep into the command console due to the sheer amount of angry he was feeling. The systems were failing and they haven't even spotted the enemy yet.
He very well knew that if the system function didn't restart then the ship would most likely sink to the bottom of the ocean. As the Captain of the ship, he couldn't allow that to happen. His Battleship was equipped with Nuclear warheads and he wouldn't allow them to go to waste.
"Where is the enemy!? Do we have a lock-on on their position!?" (Captain)
"No sir! The radar isn't working whereas the direction of the attack points forward!"
Captain's brain went into overdrive, he thought to himself.
ᒥ....Enemies position is unknown!….ᒧ
ᒥ....I can't pinpoint their location using the radar over the direction from which the attack came from as the enemies would have changed their positions by now!….ᒧ
ᒥ....Judging from the time of impact, the enemy ships most be close by! I should attack in the directions and when the enemy would be forced to protect itself from the attacks and reveal their position, I will launch the Nuke at their faces!….ᒧ
ᒥ....Since I am about to die then why not take them with me!?….ᒧ
After coming up with a final plan, the Captain ordered his men to fire in all directions and be ready to launch the Nuke.
"Everyone! Position all the weapon at the maximum range! Fire the weapons in all directions with an alternating attack pattern!"
"Be ready to deploy our Nuclear Warhead! If we are going to die then we will take them down with us."
"Aye Sir!"
"Firing [Eagle-Artillary], [Rocket Launches], [Rail-Gun], [Machine Guns], [Piercing Shots]...…"
*Bang!*
*Bang!*
*Boom!*
*Bang!*
The sinking battleship unloaded all of its ammo onto every direction, firing devastating guns, missiles, and whatnot.
Faced with such out slaughter of ammunition, the Japanese battleship was forced to activate [Force-Field] at full power, so to avoid sustaining damage from the fearsome firing.
But doing so also exposed their location to their Korean enemy who didn't miss this chance and ordered his crew to focus fire on the Japanese battleship.
"Now where will you run...hehehe!"
"Everyone! Focus fi—….."
*Boom!*
But before he could continue with his orders, he was thrown back by a sudden explosion on the back of the ship.
Recovering from his buzzing head, the Captain once against grasped the support bar and stood up before asking for their current situation.
"What happened!?…" (Captain)
"Another one of those Japanese battleships have attacked our ship from behind with the same attack! The propellers are destroyed and we can't move any more! The water is also rushing in on the lower-levels!"
"Damn those Bastards!"
The Captain gritted his teeth in anger.
Unfortunately, for him, the day went from a bad day to the worst day of his life, in a second. Their ship had already sustained heavy damage against the first Plasma cannon strike but now another one appeared and blasted their back, taking them by surprise as all of their focus was on the first Japanese battleship.
"Very well then, this is the end!"
"Deploy the Nuclear Warhead!"
"Aye Captain!"
Unlike the other features, the launch of Nuclear Warheads could also be done manually. One of the crewmen entered the coordinates and turned the key only to find that the hatch system and the launch pad weren't responding.
"What is happening!? Why isn't the Warhead launched yet!?"
"I don't know Captain!? The system is working perfectly but the hatch and the launch pad isn't responding!…."
"What…!"
"Damn it! Keep trying!…."
"Yes sir!…"
The crew member tried his best but the hatch and launchpad just wouldn't budge, not even a little bit. The ship went out of ammo and was reloading when the two Japanese battleships appeared out of the fog and started attack the base of the ship.
The Korean Captain could only watch with unwillingness and anger within his eyes as his ship sank to the bottom of the ocean along with him and the Nuclear Warhead.
(Inside Floating Hulk)
Henrik stood on the bridge with his right palm outstretched.
Henrik had been using his [Force] to keep the hatch close and launchpad unresponsive as he knew about the Korean ship carrying a Nuclear Warhead.
Thus he decided to simply sink the ship and avoid any unnecessary disasters.
'Efficient and effective', was Henrik's motto.
